So when her high-school crush, who just happens to be handsome Prince Alexander Cavalieri, breaks his leg on a nearby ski-slope, Tasha is forced to allow him to secretly get well on her floor, and she’s furious that a spoiled Royal is interrupting the precious healing time her kids so badly need. Soon, however, Tasha learns that some tough love and a lot of Christmas spirt, could turn this royal pain into a knight in shining armor.
Christmas with a Prince: Becoming Royal
Story: One year after Dr. Tasha and Prince Alec met and fell in love, Tasha is on her way to spend the holidays in San Saverre and get a taste of royal life. When Alex surprises her with a royal engagement, she spends her first magical days there trying to stay grounded while managing the task of planning a royal wedding. To Lauren's surprise, this consultant turns out to be the handsome Prince Edward of Candashire, masquerading as his consultant pal to escape his royal duties for an incognito American Christmas.
My take on Royal Movies...
I know some people love royal movies, and others do not. For me, it just depends on the individual movie. I always thought the Princess Diaries movies were cute, and Hallmark's A Princess for Christmas is still one of my all-time favorites, along with Crown for Christmas.
While I'm not a royal watcher in real life by any means, I do enjoy the elegant fashions, and the traditional customs are interesting to see occasionally from a distance. Over the years, as most of us know, there has been a lot of drama, sadness, and happy times within Queen Elizabeth's and Prince Phillip's families. Since their passing and the end of Queen Elizabeth's reign on the throne for 70 years, the people of London are now focusing on the future of the royal line with Charles and William.
Is royal life a fairytale? I personally wouldn't wish to have their fish-bowl lifestyle, but I do wish them all the best, and I pray some of the conventional wisdom of Queen Elizabeth's conservative ideals sinks into the future generations.
As any good royal fairytale movie ends, I hope they all live happily ever after!
Royal Movies on DVD/Streaming:
I've already seen all of these, they're all enjoyable. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Thank you for sharing! Nice to hear you enjoyed these royal movies. I thought it was also fun to see a little Christmas in May on UPtv. Sure wish they would do a week or a couple weekends of Christmas movies in July.
DeleteI have a huge watch list of things I want to see (Various TV shows and movies), so I'm not really affected by whether or not there's new rom coms in the near future.
DeleteAnd yeah, it's kind of nice to see Christmas movies this early somewhere (even though I'm typically too busy to record them and rewatch them). -Maria
Oh my Net! A Princess for Christmas and Crown for Christmas are my favorite royal movies too! I don't care too much for the royal movies except for those two....always feel like the same story just different actors.
ReplyDeleteJoyce, That is so true! It generally seems to be the Royal prince or princess falls in love with the commoner - and oh, no... what shall we do??? That doesn't seem to be a major issue in A Princess for Christmas, which is nice. But three more royal movies I enjoy... Royal Matchmaker (Bethany Joy Lenz), Royally Wrapped for Christmas (Jen Lilley) and A Royal Christmas (Lacey Chabert)... all deal with that same problem, especially Lacey's movie, but it is still a sweet one! True love always wins!
DeleteIt's too bad (unless they change the current schedule) that Hallmark isn't also planning to air a marathon of some of their royal movies on May 6th. I just checked the schedule and they are playing A Royal Winter at 10:01 PM. Not sure what they have planned, yet, for 8 PM???
Also, good to hear, Joyce, that you love A Princess for Christmas and Crown for Christmas, too! I think those two are hard royal movies to top! :)
Not a great fan of royal movies myself and one viewing of the ones the ones listed above is more than enough!
ReplyDeleteI somehow get the feeling there aren't going to be any Sunday night Rom.Coms before this - Florence
Florence, I'm wondering about the new rom-com movies, too. They seem to be less and less frequent on UPtv. The next one I'm aware of premieres in late May, but hopefully, something will pop up on their schedule before then.
DeleteYou can understand UPtv's schedule around Easter but given that one of their promotion tags is "Watch exclusive movies including romantic premiere movies Sundays at 7 ET on UPtv" it is worrying that there hasn't been a new Rom.Com since 05 March - Florence
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry to say I don’t like the Royal movies, they get on my nerves lol, but at least it’s something to watch! Susan Ann
ReplyDeleteIf you missed "The Princess and the Bodyguard" when it first premiered in January on UPtv, here is my review, in case you are thinking about checking out the encore during the royal movie marathon in May...
ReplyDeleteThe Princess and the Bodyguard – This movie started out a little slow for me, but it picked it up as more characters were introduced. Lexi (the princess) is torn between her normal life (working in New York and living with a roommate, who doesn’t know her royal identity) and choosing whether or not she will accept her place back home in her country, Santovia, as royalty. It’s interesting to see Lexi deal with this challenge in her life and how to tell her best friend. I also thought it was a nice touch to the story to see how Noah (the bodyguard) took care of his younger brother, who is in a wheelchair. That showed that his character had empathy for others in the way that he looked after him. The Princess and the Bodyguard ended up being a rather sweet love story; plus, from what I recall, it is family friendly. ~Net
looks like a fun royal lineup
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of Royal Queens Christmas?
ReplyDeleteChris, That movie is okay. It's not one of my favorites or anything, but I remember enjoying the piano playing and singing. What did you think of it?
DeleteRoyal Queens Christmas. I personally liked this one. Characters seemed down to earth and believable. Don’t think I would like constrains of a royal
DeleteLife.
It was pretty good.
DeleteAre we going to be voting for our favorite Christmas movies soon? My favorites were Ghost of Christmas Always, Three Wise Men and a Baby, Maple Valley Christmas, A Big Fat Family Christmas, Hanakkah on Rye and Long Lost Christmas. Still hoping for Return to Christmas Creek, Christmas Bow, Thanksgiving House, Love in Paradise, Farewell Mr. Kringle and Chasing Leprechauns to come out of dvd. Hope someone at Hallmark is listening.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be voting for the Christmas movies during Christmas in July. Thank you for sharing your favorites! :)
