PLOT:
Storyline via PixL: MEGAN (Carlson Young) is a quirky blogger at a large online news and entertainment company called Newsmaze. Content to sit behind her computer and post cat videos online, she doesn’t do a lot of dating. That all changes when her boss, BRENDA (Jolene Blalock), gives her a new assignment- she must go on a date with each of the 12 Bachelors they interviewed for their Man for Every Month column on eligible men. Megan freaks- she’s terrible at dating- and enlists the help of her beautiful roommate, Vanessa (Justene Alpert) to give her advice. Making everything worse is the fact that Megan must recap her dates in front of the camera for a live vlog directed by a cute new employee, Scott (Aaron Jakubenko). The dates are mostly disasters until Megan finally hits it off with Jack (Justin Deeley), an actor who seems just as quirky as she is.

This was the least favorite movie I have seen. I am really disappointed that this has Hallmark on it. Will definitely be more careful when picking movies. Bad acting, bad script.
ReplyDeleteI quite like the way PixL usually have three different plots woven into their Movie but in this one it the main romance never really had time to develop.
ReplyDeleteThe main male lead hardly seemed to have much on-screen time.
LOVE THE ENDING! The movie really wasn't all that special but for some reason I just find the ending adorable! I liked the male lead, he was charming and genuine and his affection for the girl felt real. I would like to see him in more movies. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not a huge fan of Pixl movies but I've quite liked the last few I've seen (this one, Rescuing Madison, and Bad Date Chronicles).....maybe that's because I've been board with Hallmarks offerings lately.
Glad you enjoyed this movie. It was nice to finally see Megan discover herself and true love in the end. She and Scott were adorable together.
DeleteI also liked the Pixl movie that Hallmark recently aired: "Adventures in Love & Babysitting." It was very sweet. I think, since you liked these movies, you would like this one too!
By the way, UPtv plays Pixl movies over the weekend and new ones on Sunday nights.
Yes, Megan and Scott were certainly adorable together! Megan's journey was sort of a coming of age story.
DeleteThanks, Net, for the "Adventures in Love & Babysitting" recommendation! That was thoughtful of you. I'll have to check it out and let you know! It even has Travis Van Winkle (I think that's his name), I loved him in "Christmas Getaway!"
I wish I had UPtv......they seem to show stuff that looks good....I just can't justify the extra expense!
