According to EW, Lori Loughlin will star in Homegrown Christmas as a "socialite who loses everything when her husband is arrested for insider trading. In shame, she returns to the small town she grew up in, where she is awkwardly reunited with her family as well as a former flame, and given a lesson in the meaning of Christmas."
Lori Loughlin will also star in a new When Calls the Heart Christmas movie this Christmas season.
Also, according to EW, Jodie Sweetin "is set to star in Making Spirits Bright, in which she plays a lost soul who will be given a vacation away from her parents’ house around the holidays if she helps them complete their Christmas shopping list."
Lori Loughlin's previous Christmas and Holiday movies include When Calls the Heart: The Christmas Wishing Tree, Every Christmas Has a Story, When Calls the Heart: Christmas, Northpole: Open for Christmas, and When Calls the Heart - New Year's Wish.
Jodie Sweetin's only Hallmark movie, thus far, was last year's holiday film Finding Santa.

Net, thanks for the update. I've enjoyed the performances of both ladies, so I'm glad that they'll both be back this year. Since I only found the Hallmark Channel last year and your blog recently, I feel like a little kid at Christmas finding out any information on this year's upcoming movies. Blessings to You and Everyone Here. Best wishes, John
ReplyDeleteAwe, thank you so much, John! I know just what you mean about that special "feel" the Christmas season brings! It makes many of us feel like little kids, once again, with all the excitement and wonder!
DeleteGlad you enjoyed this Christmas movie news today! The roster of Holiday movies is definitely getting much FULLer! :)
Many Blessings back to You! Net
Hallmark film 'A Christmas Carousel' shooting in Gibsons
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this bit of news... it's always fun to hear a new Christmas movie title in the works!
DeleteLooking forward to Hallmark sharing more on it! :)
I hope Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, & Jodie Sweetin will do the movie together with Hallmark in the future
ReplyDeleteThat would be an interesting, fabulous idea! Maybe Candace and Jodie could have a guest star role and portray sisters who visit Lori / Jennifer Shannon's antique shop in Garage Sale Mystery! That could be a great finale to GSM mystery month next year! Just sayin! :)
DeleteOr, maybe Candace could portray Aurora Teagarden and do a crossover to Garage Sale Mystery or vice versa... Lori, as Jennifer Shannon, could visit Aurora's library! :)
DeleteOooooh! I love those two! I've been hoping Lori would get another Christmas movie, it's about time. I mean, I know she's been busy doing WCTH and Garage Sale Mystery, but it'll be good to see her in something other than Abigail or Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteThanx for all the Christmas movie news girl!
xoxo, πEm
Oh, happy to share, Em! I was also excited to see these two back again in Hallmark Christmas movie roles!
DeleteIt is nice, I agree, to see Lori do another Christmas film, other than WCTH.
There is news that Jodie Sweetin's movie "Love Under the Rainbow," with David Haydn-Jones, is going to be a Hallmark movie, but still awaiting Hallmark's official word on this one!
Glad you enjoy ALL the Christmas movie News!
Blessings to you! Net

Speaking of "Full" does anyone know what happened to "Full House" on Hallmark? They did a big show of advertising it for the new year but it only aired for about 2 months and then *poof* it was gone! I grew up watching "Full House" and LOVE it. I'd like to see it on Hallmark again. Any word on that?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
LB
Excellent question, LB. I haven't heard a reason why, I just assumed it was a ratings issue, or maybe some viewers complained. Not sure. Whatever the case, it seems they are actually playing more of their own original movies than ever before, which I hear everyone loves. For me personally, I love all the movies, but I do miss seeing "Full House" on the Hallmark Channel, plus "Monk" and "Psych" on HMM.
DeleteLike you, LB, I also grew up with "Full House" and loved watching it with my family. Being family friendly, as it is, I always felt it was a much better fit for Hallmark than some of the other sitcoms on there. I guess another possibility, could be financial reasons.
Thank you for your comment, LB! :)
