  1. Can't really vote in this as we only watch the odd Hallmark mystery movie - to be honest I personally find the plots a bit far-fetched.

We did see The Irresistible Blueberry Farm and it was a wonderful movie - we have watched it numerous times since and it improves with each viewing, you're always noticing something new.

You can vote for The Irresistible Blueberry Farm alone....I love that one too!

  2. The most recent Signed, Sealed, Delivered episode Higher Ground was their best ever and in my opinion tops anything you have in your poll from the other HM&M series.

    1. I loved "Higher Ground," too, but my list above only includes movies that premiered on TV in 2016. Since "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Higher Ground" aired in 2017 - there's a good chance it will be nominated next time around for Favorite 2017 Mystery!!!

Thank you for commenting, Deborah! I always love to hear from fans of SSD! (whispering...) Don't tell anyone... but SSD is my favorite, too!!!

    2. As much as I like the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” series, I was disappointed by the latest movie. The biggest issue I had with it was that the story of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the people who survived almost seemed like it was an afterthought. It would have been better if the entire movie had focused on that story. I would have liked to see the Postables go to New Orleans, meet the people there, and experience the culture that the city is known for. Maybe the Postables could have been shown helping that community, showing how kind they can be to others (even though us fans already know this). I’m looking forward to the movies coming in the future, I just hope they get better.

    3. I think the main reason is that the show has a limited budget being on Hallmark. They simply can't afford to go on location to film or they wouldn't be able to produce 3 to 4 movies a year of this wonderful series. Another reason may be that they're Postables from Denver. I'm sure that New Orleans also has their own Dead Letter Office and certain things would fall in their jurisdiction. I don't think they could go to New Orleans and operate there with any authority.

    4. While what you are saying is true, I still think the Postables could have gone to New Orleans in this movie. This wouldn’t have been the first time that the Postables have had to go outside of Denver to solve a mystery. In “The Impossible Dream”, they went to Washington D.C. to complete the mission of finding the U.S. soldier so she could return home to her family. I believe this series is filmed in Canada, but I also believe that Hallmark could have found locations in Canada that could have doubled as New Orleans for this movie. Hallmark has done this with their other movies as well, like the hotel in “Love Locks” being filmed in Montreal, Canada even though it’s in Paris in the movie.

  4. I love the Signed, Sealed and Delivered movies. The cast is wonderful and the plots so heartwarming. Wish they would put more of them on dvd. Have also enjoyed Aurora Teagarden and Garage Sale mysteries.

  7. I'm really surprised to see The Irresistible Blueberry Farm on here. I liked it a lot, but it didn't seem like much of a mystery to me. Then again, I don't watch Signed Sealed ones at all so maybe those are in the same vein.

I ended up picking Three Bedrooms, One Corpse.

I've seen all the rest except for the Signed Sealed ones, and the only one I didn't like out of those at all was the latest Murder She Baked one (Deadly Recipe). I really hope the one this week is a lot better than that one.

  8. I am pretty sure the Signed Sealed Delivered will win this, but I voted for Ali my girl in the Irresistible Blueberry Farm and Murder She Baked. I hope she wins, well the movies. I have tried to watch the SSD but I just don't get it.

  9. Dear Anon....

Please suspend your disbelief, and have fun with these Movies and Mysteries. They aren't Shakespeare. Nor do they try to be. They are fun, and relaxing, and not-dripping-in-blood. -smile-

Yes, murders happen, but in the Agatha Christie way. In a genteel way, you might say.

With so much mayhem and screaming and arguing, in the world today..... We find it delightful, to enjoy Hallmark Ch. and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Ch. I hope you will give them, more of a chance. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
