This November, the Hallmark Channel made an official announcement via their Facebook page... Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove has ended with 3 seasons.
However...
This isn't the complete end for us to see cast members of Cedar Cove - on the Hallmark Channel !

Andie MacDowell (Judge Olivia Lockhart) will star in "The Beach House", Dylan Neal (Jack) will continue to star in the Gourmet Detective movie mystery series with Brooke Burns, both in 2016.
Writer Debbie Macomber has a new Christmas movie this Holiday Season: "Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow"!

And, while we no longer will have Warren... we will see Brennan Elliott star with Mariah Carey & Lacey Chabert in "A Christmas Melody" on December 19th and next year - in January, with Brooke Shields in a new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries series: "Flower Shop Mystery: Mum's the Word"!

THIS WEEKEND ON TV: The Hallmark Channel & UP-TV share common theme...
On Saturday Night... October 4, 2014
Visit Cedar Cove
on the Hallmark Channel
for the Season 2 Finale Episode
Airs Saturday at 8PM/7c. Repeats at 11PM/10c.
Via Hallmark-- In the Season 2 finale, Resolutions and Revelations: Olivia is determined to find out why her relationship with Jack suddenly feels so distant, while Justine attempts to smooth things over with Seth but ends up only making things much worse. And as Eric is caught between Warren, his partner, and the law, he must decide who he can trust, as all of Cedar Cove discovers secrets can't always be kept.
There are a number of storylines occurring in the town of Cedar Cove. One such story, not mentioned above, is Allison, a teenage girl, who usually works with Grace at the library and Peggy, sometimes, at the B&B. It has just recently come to Grace's attention that Allison is being bullied on-line by some popular girls at her school. Allison begged Grace not to get involved in the last episode, but she couldn't remain quiet. Grace, instead, did the right thing, by informing Allison's mother and the school of the cyber-bullying. This issue was yet to be resolved in the previous episode and will continue to unfold - as we see Peggy comforting Allison in this image from the finale episode below.
In recognition of October being National Bullying Prevention Month,
the Hallmark Channel and UP-TV are shedding light on this very important issue.
On Sunday Night... October 5, 2014
UP-TV
will have the Exclusive World Premiere
of Nowhere Safe
Premieres Sunday at 7 PM/6c.
Via UP:: Nowhere Safe stars Natasha Henstridge, Jamie Kennedy, and Danielle Chuchran. After two teen girls cruelly impersonate a third, Ashley, in an online "reverse cyber bullying" plot, her reputation is ruined. She and her mother Julie are ostracized, forcing them to flee an escalating threat to their lives. Starting over at a new school miles away and budding romantic interests draw them out of seclusion until they realize confronting a hurtful past is essential to ensure a brighter future.
*Please Note: I must caution - these programs may contain intense Situations and Dialogue not suitable for children.

Cedar Cove - Only 2 episodes remain...
Season 2 - Episode 11
Airs Saturday September 27, 2014 at 8PM/7c.
Repeats immediately following Midnight Masquerade at 11PM/10c.
Storyline: Season 2, Episode 11- STAND AND DELIVER --
As Jack relapses and spends even more time in Seattle, an oblivious Olivia worries his writing is taking too much of a toll. While she thinks of a way to take the pressure of Jack's job off their relationship, the return to Cedar Cove of both Warren's corrupt business partner and Peggy's menacing harasser causes tension and danger to mount.
*Be sure to watch for...
Author Debbie Macomber, who will have a cameo role in this week's episode.
*Please Note: Cedar Cove does, at times, contain Adult Content and Situations. I have seen many comments of concern over this on Hallmark Channel's Facebook page. I share a lot of those concerns myself. I like the actors, the setting, and characters of Cedar Cove; however, as Hallmark fans, I know many of us turn to this station, in order to turn away from the usual dramas on network TV and cable that are filled with sex, drugs, and violence. We want wholesome adult entertainment that uplifts and inspires... which is what we are used to expecting from the Hallmark Channel... with When Calls the Heart, Signed Sealed Delivered, and all the many wonderful original movies!
Please share in the comments below your thoughts on Cedar Cove's Season 2.

Who is MR. MIRACLE ? ... Answer Revealed!
![]() |
Doris Roberts as Mrs. Miracle |
So, I know many of us were thrilled to learn that this Christmas Season- 2014, Hallmark would bring to us a new version, "Debbie Macomber's Mr. Miracle".
The next question, of course, is...
Who will portray Mr. Miracle?
My Guesses:
My first guess was Cameron Mathison (The Christmas Ornament). I had heard he was filming a Hallmark Movie with Sarah Lancaster (Fir Crazy). But, then it was revealed they were filming Man Maid. So, I knew it couldn't be him.
Then I thought, maybe they would choose someone a little older, like Doris Roberts. So, I guessed then they might, perhaps, go with Dick Van Dyke. He had been scheduled to be on Signed, Sealed, Delivered, but that didn't work out, at the time. However, since I knew Hallmark was in touch with him, and he has starred in other Hallmark movies, I thought... hmmm... maybe?
I also guessed Kevin Sorbo (God's Not Dead, Abel's Field) who shared in an interview, he would be working on another Hallmark project and I also guessed John Corbett (Ramona and Beezus, A Smile as Big as the Moon) since he has starred in other Hallmark movies.
Alas, all of my guesses were off the mark. Well, I guess John Corbett was pretty close, as you'll see! A press release came out today revealing the true identity of the new Mr. Miracle.
Would I have guessed this actor? No.
Am I familiar with his work? Yes. Some of it.
Is he a member of the Hallmark family? To my knowledge, No.
So, who is he? Who is Mr. Miracle?
Here's an Excerpt from the Hallmark Press Release, with all the details:

Actor Rob Morrow image via: imdb |
“We’re very excited to once again partner with our beloved Hallmark family member Debbie Macomber to bring to life another one of her magical stories as part of our popular holiday season lineup,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President of Programming, Crown Media Family Networks. “The immensely talented Rob Morrow is perfect for the role of Mr. Miracle, a surprising and often eccentric character whose heartfelt mission will inspire our viewers this Christmas.”
When guardian angel Harry Mills (Morrow) arrives on Earth for the first time, he’s got a lot to learn about life as a human. But this miracle worker-in-training ignores the advice of his heavenly mentor, Celeste (Harrison), to eagerly take on his first assignment—helping a young woman named Addie (Irvin) find the confidence to change her life. Addie has always struggled in school and is currently feeling overwhelmed and indecisive trying to live up to her father’s expectations of becoming a doctor. Now, after her father’s sudden passing, Addie is living with her mom Sharon (Redmond), filled with regret and uncertainty while attempting to finish her degree all while avoiding her childhood nemesis, Erich (Francis). Enter Harry, posing as her fumbling, well-meaning new English teacher who takes on the task of guiding her to see the wonderful things she can’t see in herself. With a deadline of Christmas day to change Addie’s perspective, or else say goodbye to his own Earthly existence, Harry is clueless but endearing in his effort to make Addie open up to a life full of promise—and even love—while learning a few life lessons of his own along the way.

I remember him mostly on Northern Exposure with Janine Turner and John Corbett (one of my guesses, by the way!).
Does this movie premise remind you of another movie? I thought of Cary Grant in The Bishop's Wife immediately.
Now, I would love to know what you think of this news. Please share in the comment section below!

Hallmark Channel is pleased to announce that it is partnering once again with beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber to create its fourth Hallmark Channel Original Holiday Movie World Premiere “Debbie Macomber’s Mr. Miracle,” slated to debut Holiday 2014. The movie and backdoor pilot will be part of the network’s hugely popular “Countdown To Christmas,” the #1 most treasured holiday destination by television viewers.
Previously, Hallmark Channel partnered with Macomber to bring the holiday movies “Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle,” “Debbie Macomber’s Call Me Mrs. Miracle” and “Debbie Macomber’s Trading Christmas” to the small screen. Audiences fell in love with the film adaptations of Macomber’s bestselling books, all of which were so successful that they became among the top rated holiday movies on the network. Of course, Macomber’s bestselling Cedar Cove novels are also the basis for Hallmark Channel’s highly successful first scripted dramatic series, “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove.”
In “Debbie Macomber’s Mr. Miracle,” heaven and earth collide when angel-in-training Harry Mills, A.K.A “Mr. Miracle” is sent down to a community college during Christmas; for his first assignment: to help an insecure student realize her true purpose in life. Harry, living as a literature teacher, is also schooled in lessons of life and love as he realizes that dealing with humans is not as easy as it looks like from the clouds.

More, via Hallmark press release:
When guardian angel Harry Mills (Morrow) arrives on Earth for the first time, he's got a lot to learn about life as a human. But this miracle worker-in-training ignores the advice of his heavenly mentor, Celeste (Harrison), to eagerly take on his first assignment - helping a young woman named Addie (Irvin) find the confidence to change her life. Addie has always struggled in school and is currently feeling overwhelmed and indecisive trying to live up to her father's expectations of becoming a doctor. Now, after her father's sudden passing, Addie is living with her mom Sharon (Redmond), filled with regret and uncertainty while attempting to finish her degree all while avoiding her childhood nemesis, Erich (Francis). Enter Harry, posing as her fumbling, well-meaning new English teacher who takes on the task of guiding her to see the wonderful things she can't see in herself. With a deadline of Christmas day to change Addie's perspective, or else say goodbye to his own Earthly existence, Harry is clueless but endearing in his effort to make Addie open up to a life full of promise - and even love - while learning a few life lessons of his own along the way.
