"CMA Country Christmas" will also feature two student musicians, supporting CMA's longstanding commitment to support equity in music education. I hope you all have a delightful Saturday and Sunday! Summer is always a busy time for us here on the farm, but I love the down-time with family on the weekends! I'm looking forward to watching the Carrie Underwood gospel concert on UPtv, plus one of the encore airings of I Can Only Imagine.

As far as Christmas movies go this weekend, I will try to re-watch some of my faves - including: On the Twelth Day of Christmas, A Christmas Detour, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and The Christmas Card... and that's just Saturday! I will also have to try and catch some of Let it Snow, A Royal Christmas, The Nine Lives of Christmas on Sunday, too... to Mark the 25th! How about you?

Christmas Music on TV

Snowflakes falling, sleigh bells ringing, and a Surprise Visit from Santa Claus....
Many of us remember watching through the years... various Christmas Music Specials- some new and some Re-runs, whatever the case... they were all so beautiful, such as: Christmas Shows and Specials from Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Perry Como, Andy Williams, Lawrence Welk, Donny & Marie, Doris Day, Barbara Mandrell, Kathie Lee Gifford, and so many more...

Tonight on Fox there is a new Christmas Music Special from Carrie Underwood. I think she has a beautiful voice, and I just love the song, "Jesus take the Wheel". (Although, I must share with you, I am not fond of her new Video of Cowboy Casanova.)

Also, starring in the show tonight is David Cook, Brad Paisley, and Kristin Chenoweth, and More... I'm hoping that it will be a fun family show.

Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special

This information was released today, October 13, 2009:

The Fox network says Carrie Underwood will host a two-hour variety special tentatively titled, "Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special," to air Dec. 7.

The network says Underwood will perform new music from her upcoming album, previous hits and holiday classics. Musical guests will include Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley and David Cook.

Underwood won season four of "American Idol." The 26-year-old country singer is a four-time Grammy winner.

Her new album will be released Nov. 3.

The first CD listed above is Carrie's newest album - being released Nov. 3. The second CD includes a bonus CD of Christmas songs that are all so wonderful. I personally own this one and highly recommend it - as I enjoy it very much!
