🎄✨ Happy February 25th, everyone! ✨🎄
Wow! Can you believe it’s already been TWO months since Christmas? Time really does fly once the decorations come down!
Are you already counting down to Christmas 2026 with us?
Okay… it might seem a little early. But if you’ve been following It’s a Wonderful Movie for a while, then you know that every 25th day of the month we celebrate our ongoing Countdown to Christmas tradition!
A little Christmas cheer sprinkled throughout the year makes everything feel warmer and brighter. ✨
Only 10 months to go… but who’s counting, right?
If you'd like to join along to celebrate the 25th... all you have to do is choose a Christmas movie to watch today (or sometime this week or weekend) and share in comments below your Christmas choice!
I decided that my Christmas movie pick will be the hockey-themed movie, Checkin' it Twice, due to the recent amazing wins from our American hockey teams in the Olympics. Their American patriotism is so inspiring, especially from the men's team who hadn't won since 1980! I didn't see the first Miracle on Ice, but this certainly feels like another miracle win.
And what a proud moment it was - seeing the team last night at the State of the Union Address! Go Team USA!

Please share your Christmas movie picks in comments! I would love to know which Christmas movie you are feeling drawn to this week.

When we were talking about old Christmas classics a few weeks ago, I realized that I didn't watch It Happened on 5th Avenue this past year, so that is going to be my go-to movie tonight. (So many movies, so little time!)
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas decorations will not be fully down until this Saturday the 28th hehe. Maybe that is why it doesn't feel like time has flown by to me like it usually does or maybe it is the dark cold brutal winter we have had but two months since Christmas seems about the right amount of time. Once I get to March 1st is when the jet burners of time just vanish.
ReplyDelete"A little Christmas cheer sprinkled throughout the year makes everything feel warmer and brighter." I love how you wrote this Net. You know that I feel the exact same way.
I started to watch, "Timeless Tidings of Joy" about 1am today the 25th and am halfway through. I will finish that movie sometime today. That is my "Mark the 25th" movie for this month.
I just finished watching, "Timeless Tidings of Joy". I loved this movie! Sure, there are some small holes in the story that can be seen through the movie, but I try to judge a movie on how much it touches my emotions. This one made me weep. That is always a winner to me. This one made me feel warm and fuzzy. That is always a winner to me.
DeleteThe Gazebo scene with that old time music playing blew me away (I LOVE Glen Miller, Moonlight Serenade type music). That type of music warms my heart and makes me feel safe.
The other thing that I LOVED about this movie and others on GAF is I feel like I am getting a little bible study in the movie also. It's awesome! The little bible study is like I get another beautifully wrapped Christmas gift to go along with the other Christmas decorations and gifts that are shown in the movie.
Hi Jim,
DeleteI really enjoyed Timeless Tidings of Joy. I can't wait to hear what you thought, or had you watched it before? I just love Natasha Bure, she is just so beautiful, and she was so great in that movie. Candace was great also.
Sabrina
Hi Sabrina...I responded above with my thoughts on the movie. I absolutely LOVED this movie! You are so right about Natasha Bure! She is really becoming quite the actress just like her Mama.
DeleteHey Jim! Aww I bet your house just feels so cozy with your decorations still up, you keep a small Christmas tree up all year round though, right? I’m planning a trip to Hobby Lobby next week so I’ll see if they have a small table top tree I can put in my kitchen, I have just the corner for it on my counter. Then I can have some Christmas all year round 😊

Great movie choice, Net! I’ll watch it, too. I loved seeing the team take this gold. It’s nice to see patriotism again and pride in our country. Christie
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to reply on the 25th. I already watched A Newport Christmas and A Christmas prayer.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I celebrated 25th Eve last night and watched "Road to Christmas". It is one of our favorites and one we hadn't screened too recently. The story line, cast, excellent acting and endearing moments remind us why it is in our most favored watch list of Christmas movies. We appreciate this site. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIs it that time already????? Wow! I’m not sure yet what I will watch, but probably something black & white. Helps me go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. I celebrate Xmas all year round. I think I will watch A Very Curious Christmas.
ReplyDelete“Checkin’ it Twice” has been one of favorite Hallmark Christmas movies since I watched its premiere. Love the cast, script, and focus on family. Absolutely agree with your choice as a hockey-themed movie to celebrate the 25th and the Olympic wins by our fantastic U.S. hockey teams!!! Will be watching it myself later today.
ReplyDeleteHappy 25th!
ReplyDeleteOperation Christmas was my choice for "Mark the 25th". An oldie but soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI have actually never watched this one Joyce! Next time it is on my cable I’ll need to record it 😊
