  4. I nearly missed this because it was on the same page as A New Year of Hope And Romance but fortunately saw some comments about it.

Very interesting - the talk towards the end of 2025 was that Hallmark would be cutting back on the number of new movies but no sign of that to date - 5 in January and now 4 in February.

On paper these look pretty good with one proviso I'll mention later on- a real blast from the past with Alison Sweeney and Gabriel Hogan, Amy Groening in a deserved second leading role for Hallmark, the wonderful Kim Matula - The Finnish Line was my #1 Christmas movie for 2025 and Ghosts Of Christmas Present is right up there in my all-time favorites.

Sarah Drew made Mistletoe Murders her own but seeing her in this leading role given past happenings n the Channel makes me apprehensive about the future of MM.

The Internet is still claiming the series has been renewed but we now know (hopefully as yet) this is not true.

Any problem is in the leading men.

I don't think using lesser known male actors as leading men (could there be a financial aspect to this?) worked well for Hallmark in several 2025 Christmas movies.

There was a lot of dissatisfaction that having won "Mr Christmas" Evan Roderick was not the male lead in Make Or Break Holiday so maybe this is a pay-off?

Apologies but I rank Aaron O'Connell as a second tier actor and Matt Long I just don't know.

The big question is will these movies be above the 1m viewers mark as figures plummet?

How they perform could be important for the future - Florence
