Movie Reviews:
❤️ Nicely's Heartstrings Attached is clean, and so lovely! UP TV should consider picking it up. -Maria
❤️ Heartstrings Attached - I had the chance to stream this movie early, and I found it to be very sweet. While some of the acting wasn't so great, at times, the story itself is heartfelt and meaningful. I even got misty-eyed at the end; it was genuinely touching. Best of all, it’s completely family-friendly. ~Net

I hope you all have a lovely Fall weekend! 🍃🍁
This time next weekend, we'll be talking about the new Christmas movie premieres! Ahhhh!!! Until then, I hope you are able to enjoy some downtime with the new premieres this weekend!
While this is the Part 1 finale of "Crossroad Springs" Season 1, four more episodes are currently being filmed to air next year as a part 2 continuation of Season 1. I'm so delighted that Great American Media is making more of this inspiring series and "When Hope Calls." (If you missed the previous "When Hope Calls" announcement, click here)
I also hope you enjoy sleuthing with the new "Ainsley McGregor" mystery this weekend. To see reviews from Gabe’s Mom, Anonymous, Joyce in Carolina, Anonymous1, Abigail, and me - *click here*. (Be sure to scroll down to near the end of the post.)
Also, in case you missed it, Maria and I shared reviews above for "Heartstrings Attached."
Please note: I haven’t pre-screened the movies "Home Turf" or "The Jane Mysteries: Too Much to Lose." If you'd like to share your thoughts after these movies air, please do so in comments below.
And please feel free to share your opinion of "Ainsley McGregor," "Crossroad Springs," and "Heartstrings Unattached," too!
Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
I have greatly enjoyed Ainsley McGregor Mysteries and Crossroad Springs on GAF and look forward to future episodes. I will be rewatching both.
ReplyDeleteHave a “Itsawonderfulmovie” weekend.
-Gabe’s Mom
Gabe's Mom, How sweet! Your last sentence truly made me smile! :)
DeleteUnrelated, but has anyone besides me noticed how long it's been since Hallmark last posted on Twitter? -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Wow, that is interesting. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I just checked and the last tweet was Sept. 21st. They aren't even live-tweeting with their followers on premiere nights. That is definitely unusual for them. Wonder what's going on???
DeleteWow! I just watched the final episode of Crossroad Springs! All I can say is get out the tissues! Can't wait till the new season starts! Talk about a cliff hanger!!! Again...Wow!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, Glad you loved it, too! I thought the scene with Father & Son was fantastic and also, that ending was WOW!!! Can't wait to see where they go from here! :)
DeleteGreat weekend watching.
ReplyDeleteGreat variety this weekend! Only problem is I’m trying to free up my DVR for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGoing to watch GAF and I’ll try the Up movie since you & Maria liked it. Christie
Crossroad Springs: Now that was a beautiful midseason finale! (and there's also a great surprise at the end for the #Hopefuls!). -Maria
ReplyDeleteA Case for the Yarnmaker is fantastic! (and all those Christmas trailers are so peaceful!). -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, So good to hear you enjoyed both, too! It was such a fantastic weekend for GAF! And yes, all of the Christmas promos are so beautiful! It's hard to believe we're just days away!!! :)
DeleteI enjoyed Home Turf, fall vibes
ReplyDeleteIs it family friendly?
DeleteAny answer here? Was Home Turf family friendly , or the the Love & Birding movie with Rachel & Andrew?
DeleteI'm with Anonymous... I'd love to know if those movies are family friendly.
DeleteHi everyone, yep Home Turf is family friendly, funny, it’s set at fall, but could be on at anytime, it’s an enjoyable watch
DeleteI thought both were really sweet and cute. But I know sometimes my definition of that is different than others. That said, I cannot remember anything in either one that went outside the TV-G rating. :)
DeleteI am glad to say that yes, Home Turf is family friendly! But, is is worth watching? Well, if you are fans of Nikki and Warren (as I am), then yes, because they are both at the top of their game! They are so good together, and you can see the chemistry develop between these two. And they look like they are having a blast playing off each other!
DeleteBut, the storyline is too far-fetched for me to recommend it beyond the actors. I mean, who in their right mind would have 5 male college freshman football players go and live unsupervised with the single attractive female college president in her home? Really?! And when the coach has his own living quarters? (Yes, less space, but still...!) And the transformation of these players becoming so sweet and thoughtful...I just couldn't buy it. So bottom line, if you want to watch a fun romance between Nikki and Warren and put the plot aside, go for it. But if you aren't fans of them, you may want to skip this one!
Thank you Anonymous, Rissi, and Mark 25! I actually was just admitted to the hospital for an infection, and the TV has the Hallmark channel, so now if those movies come on, I will be all set!
DeleteRC, Aw, I’m so sorry to hear you’re in the hospital, but I’m glad you’ve got Hallmark's cozy movies to keep you company.
DeleteI'll be praying you start feeling better soon and that God gives you lots of comfort and maybe even a little laughter along the way.
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine" ~Proverbs 17:22
God bless you! Net
Rissi and Mark 25, Thank you both for taking the time to share your thoughts on the latest Hallmark premieres. I know it means so much to many!
DeleteI just started watching Home Turf... so far, it is cute and kind of a whirlwind!!! :)
Mark 25 - I'm already getting some of that far-fetched vibe you referred to, but like you said, both leads are very likable.
Rissi, Thank you so much for sharing that you thought both movies were sweet and cute! Your opinion really means a lot to me!
RC, Just wanted to let you know... I’m still thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.
DeleteIf you’re still in the hospital, I hope you’re able to catch Great American Family there and enjoy some of their heartwarming Christmas movies as you rest and recover.
God bless you always, Net
There’s 4 more episodes for Crossroad Springs will return in Spring 2026 on GAFAM
ReplyDeleteGAF gave us two great shows to watch on Saturday night! I thought this was the best Crossroad Springs episode so far and I have loved all of them! The scenes between James and Willis were incredible. The reconciliation scene on the porch had me tearing up just like Willis! I think James will have Willis attending Cowboy Church and mending his relationship with the Lord in no time! Jesse is so good in the role as Daniel. There are many layers to his character and I can’t wait to find out more about Daniel. This was Jonathan’s best episode. I loved seeing him in the role of pastor and as protective son willing to fight for his family and land. I am also all in for Cowboy Church! The song and ceremony were lovely. I found it interesting because in my non-denominational Christian church we do baby dedications. It is a very similar service but without godparents and baptism. I thought only the Catholic church did baby baptisms and godparents so I learned something new. In our church we do immersion baptisms once a person is saved and old enough to profess they are born again and want to make a public declaration of their Christian faith and profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I was so shocked by the cliffhanger! I knew something was up when Daniel said it was out of his hands, but I did not see Jefferson Brown joining Crossroad Springs!!! I think he is going to be a tamer version of JR Ewing. Ha! That was an amazing surprise and left me even more excited to see the remaining four episodes of season 1 after Christmas!! I wonder if Jesse’s uncle and Aunt Amy share a past???? Can’t wait to find out!
ReplyDeleteI won't give away any spoilers but A Case for the Yarn Maker will not disappoint! I love CCB as Ainsley and am enjoying getting to know the characters of Sweet River. On a recent Q and A CCB mentioned that the third movie will be A Case for the Toy Maker. I wonder if we will have to wait until Christmas 2026 for it?
I am so excited for Great American Christmas year 5 to start on Friday! Gena
Gena, Thank you so much for your wonderful comment about Crossroad Springs and the latest Ainsley McGregor Mystery premiere! I agree... there was so much to love in both! I love all of the moments you highlighted, as well.
DeleteThe addition of Jefferson Brown on Crossroad Springs was such a fantastic surprise at the end of Crossroad Springs. He is so nice as Joe on When Hope Calls, I can hardly picture him being mean and nasty. Your comparison to JR Ewing is such a good one.
As for Ainsley... the movie they filmed in the spring was titled A Case For The Watchmaker (unless they change it), so maybe they are going to film the Toy Maker movie next??? That one (if they follow the book) is supposed to be Christmas-themed! That would probably be a good one for Christmas in July next year. It's always fun to get these little hints and guess what's to come!!! :)
Toymaker is compound word.
DeleteA toymaker is primarily defined as a person or company that makes & sells toys
Like Net, I read that Watchmaker was filmed in the spring, so it's ready to go, but knowing GAF, they'll hold it until next summer for PF & Oct for GAF. I think they should go ahead & put it out by spring & then if CCB does film Toy Maker, that would be her Christmas movie next year or one of two, since not everyone likes murder mystery at Christmas. Hmm. Wonder how they'll do that one.
DeleteAnonymous #1 -
DeleteThat's true; that is generally the way toymaker is spelled, but we spelled Toy Maker like they do on Candace Haven's book cover.

Anonymous #2 - I think you & I are on the same page! I was also thinking of Christmas in July since most don't like the murder mysteries at Christmas (myself included!).
DeleteIt would be fantastic if they could pick up the pace and do 2 next year, but I'm not sure if that's likely to happen.
This is just my opinion, but I believe God is very much involved in Crossroad Springs. My soul is singing with joy when I watch this show. I am so blessed! Thanks GAF!~~kitkat
ReplyDeletekitkat, I wholeheartedly agree! Well said! I pray this show will touch and reach many hearts.
DeleteThank you for sharing your thoughts. :)
A Case for the Yarnmaker was great. If they don't watch out, George is going to steal the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteSo true! George is such a cutie! :)
DeleteHome Turf had viewing figures of 1.074m but further proofnof Cable's decline - just a shirt while ago this would easily have topped 1.5m - Florence
