Haul Out the Halloween Storyline: New, Halloween-obsessed neighbors inspire residents of Evergreen Lane to haul out their spookiest costumes and dΓ©cor to become EverSCREAM Lane.
*Please note: I don’t typically feature Halloween movies or programs here, but I know many will want to see this third film in the series. I’m hoping it focuses on the lighthearted, fun side of the holiday and steers clear of anything dark or unsettling.
I also wanted to briefly mention that "Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C" will be airing Sunday night on the Hallmark Channel. I personally won’t be watching this one, as one of the main characters is a ghost. I just wanted to note it here, in case anyone wonders why it wasn’t promoted.

Friday, October 10, 2025:
The Dove Awards airs Friday Night on TBN!
Season 2 of When Hope Calls has been nominated for Television Series of the Year, along with these other nominees: God. Family. Football., House of David, Jesus: Refugee, Renegade, Redeemer with Bear Grylls, and The Chosen!
Also, be sure to look for Candace Cameron Bure, who will be presenting one of the awards.
The Dove Awards airs exclusively on TBN and the TBN+ App on Friday, October 10th at 7:30pm and again at 10pm ET. The program will also be simulcast on SiriusXM The Message.
There’s also an encore airing of the program the following Friday, October 17th, at the same times.
Saturday, October 11, 2025:

Storyline: "A pastry chef (Leclerc) returns home to Door County, Wis., for Christmas and finds that saving her family's orchard — and her heart — may depend on the perfect pie and a second chance at love."
Sunday, October 12, 2025:

Storyline: A corporate jingle writer is on the verge of abandoning her songwriting dreams for good when she mistakenly hands over an old love song to the man who broke her heart, a famous country singer looking for his next hit.
π✨ What a Merry Weekend we have ahead with all of these Christmas classics and a new holiday movie premiere!
If you’d like to share your thoughts on the new films, or just want to join in the festive chat, please leave a comment below!
A quick note: I haven’t pre-screened the new movies airing this weekend, so if you’d like to share whether a film is family-friendly, your input would be such a gift to all of us here.
And for those of you wondering... yes, I’ll be putting together a special post featuring reviews from all of the Christmas movies as they come in!
Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to share. It truly means a lot!

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
I watched A Wisconsin Christmas Pie on Pure Flix and found it to be full of all the Christmas feels! I must admit, I didn’t have super high expectations because I don’t usually enjoy the acquired movies as much as the GAF produced movies and I am not familiar with these actors. However, I am happy to say that this movie is top-notch! The actors have great chemistry, the storyline pulled at my heartstrings, and the Door County setting is stunning! This movie put me right in the mood to start the Christmas season. Great American Family is off to a festive start and I loved A Wisconsin Christmas Pie! It is one of those movies you can enjoy watching over and over! Gena
ReplyDeleteGena, Thank you so much for being the *FIRST* Christmas movie review for the 2025 Holiday Season! I so enjoyed reading your thoughts on A Wisconsin Christmas Pie, and now I'm so looking forward to seeing it, too. (By the way, I know just what you mean about acquired movies, but sometimes, they can surprise us in a good way, too, and I'm so glad to hear this one did that for you!)
DeleteHappy Christmas Movie Watching! Net :)
Gena thank you so much for this review! I feel the exact same way, I am always apprehensive about these acquired movies as I have seen some super bad ones, so then I skip altogether and probably miss some real gems. I will definitely be tuning into this one. I saw the actress in Christmas a la Mode” which I believe was Lifetime years ago and that one was so cute! Excited to kick off Christmas tonight! Happy watching everyone π❤️ πΏπ₯

Are there any religious movies on Great American Family?
ReplyDeleteChris F.
Chris, Yes! Yes! There will be faith in several of Great American Family's Christmas movies this year... A Christmas Prayer, Christmas in Midnight Clear, There’s No Place Like Christmas, and I imagine Candace Cameron Bure will likely have faith in her movies, too. Others may also incorporate it in their movies, as well. It's going to be a wonderful Christ-filled Christmas season on Great American Family!!! :)
DeleteI am so excited for another year of Christmas Movies and reading reviews here! I don't always have time to comment but I do appreciate the reviews and the lists of family friendly movies. I am going to record the movies and watch them while wrapping and writing out cards.
ReplyDeleteMaire, Thank you so much for commenting today! Please feel free to share whenever you can. I'm so glad you enjoy the reviews here. The *It's a Wonderful Movie* family is such a blessing!!! :)

Net, where are your Christmas lights? I look forward to those each year. ~~kitkat
ReplyDeletekitkat, By your special request... I have brought back the Christmas lights!!! Enjoy!!! It really is so sweet of you to notice they were missing and to comment. Just knowing you look forward to them every year touches my heart.
DeleteBlessings to you! Net
Thank you Net for the Christmas lights! Makes my heart sing!~~kitkat
DeleteA Wisconsin Christmas Pie was a surprise to me. I loved it! The natural snow in this movie is a big plus for me. It left me wanting a slice of cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. Oh, did those pies look yummy!~~kitkat
DeleteCan you hear those joyous jingle bells ringing? Yes Net, I do hear them now! The faint sound is getting louder and louder.
ReplyDeleteJim, Thank you for sharing in the excitement on this joyous day!!! Joy to the World!!! :)

I love your post today, Net, and the scripture! I’ve been watching the Christmas movies since early this morning on GAF. The promos in between breaks have been great.
ReplyDeleteI’ll be watching the new movie tomorrow night and I’ll record the new Haul out the Holly movie to watch later. I don’t usually watch Halloween movies either, so hopefully this is fun and like you said, not dark. I won’t watch if it includes that.
Thank you for doing the reviews again this year. I know it must be an awful lot of work to keep up with them during the Christmas season, but I really rely on them now every Christmas. Thanks to all who contribute. Christie
Christie, Aww, thank you so much!
DeleteI love hearing that you’ve been watching the Christmas movies on GAF all day! Me, too! I agree, the promos have all been so uplifting!
As you know, I’m right there with you about "Haul Out the Halloween." I'm also hoping it’s lighthearted fun and not spooky at all!
It means the world to know you enjoy the reviews and find them helpful. It is quite the flurry of activity keeping up with everything this time of year, but hearing kind words like yours makes it all worthwhile.
Wishing you a blessed start to this Christmas season! Net
Christie, you are so right about the promos and the true meaning of Christmas scripture laden commercials in between breaks. They are so amazing and wonderful and filled with so much peace. I just LOVE them!
DeleteI have GAF playing now! God bless, Net and all the terrific people who contribute through comments to the Itsawonderfulmovie community. May the peace of season be in your hearts.
ReplyDelete-Gabe’s Mom

Maria, Thank you for sharing the link. I saw Crystal Lowe’s post on Instagram where she shared that she’s been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
DeleteFor any of you who may not know, Signed, Sealed, Delivered star, Crystal Lowe (who portrays Rita), is a wife and mother of two children, and she's bravely sharing her Cancer diagnosis with the world. She's currently undergoing her first round of chemo, and she'll be having surgery once the growth shrinks enough for removal.
I will certainly be holding Crystal close in prayer and trusting that God’s strength will uphold her every step of the way.
If you'd like more details, you'll want to read the article that Maria shared.

In the Haunted Harmony Mysteries series, Eamon is a ghost. He is a famous composer who haunts the Irish home of protagonist Gethsemane Brown.
ReplyDeleteHis character background:
In the first movie, Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major, Eamon was poisoned years ago after the murder of his love, Orla.
He is initially a restless ghost, and he enlists Gethsemane's help to solve his and Orla's murders so he can finally cross over.
However, even after the mystery is solved, Eamon remains, and the two team up to solve subsequent
Your description is exactly why I don’t watch this movie.
DeleteFather of the Bride actress Diane Keaton has passed away. :( -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Yes, very sad news. Always loved both Father of the Bride movies with Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Sorry to hear of Diane's passing today.
DeleteI was so sad when I heard about this Maria....She was one of favorite Actresses to watch.
DeleteGreat movie selections this weekend. Thanks for providing the full weekend schedule on Great American Family.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I hope you enjoy watching many Christmas movies throughout the weekend! :)
DeleteA Wisconsin Christmas Pie is a very sweet start to this Season. -Maria
ReplyDeleteI thought the GAF movie started at 7, but it started at 6. I only caught the last hour. I loved that the movie was filmed during winter. I thought it was well acted and thought it was a good start for the Christmas movies.

Haul out the Halloween was clean & funny!
ReplyDeleteDid Haul Out the Halloween have any evil stuff like spells or creepy stuff?
DeleteNope, I don’t think so
DeleteJared & Emily dressed as a sailor & a nurse dance at their house. There’s a portrait moves to fix it at the end of the movie
DeleteI thought it was mild. No spells. They have the decorating they do on the houses, a baking contest, costume contest. Emily reminiscing about her grandma(the photo of grandma on the wall does move a few times when they straighten it but thats all) It is full of the humor like the first one. P.s. there is a wedding.... :)
DeleteShe will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the Jesus, because Che will safe his people from their sins
ReplyDeleteMatthew 1:21
Therefore the Lord himself will give a sign
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and will call him
Immanuel
Isisah 7-14
Buried at C... two ghosts for those who wish to avoid that. For those who want a review. It's clean and the mystery was good in it. If you watched the first one and enjoyed it you will like this one.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It was well acted, the mystery was pretty good, it was funny people seeing her talk to air and they do a great job incorporating the gorgeous scenery. I don't think the romance is that well done though.

While I was watching Wisconsin Christmas Pie when I saw at the bottom of the screen
ReplyDeleteA Royal Icing Christmas
October 25, 2025
8pm ET/5pm PT
GAFAM
A Royal Icing Christmas is an originally titled for Once Upon a Christmas Crown
Haul Out the Halloween was fun. Much of the quick banter we've come to expect from the other movies. Sure there are references to witches or spells but nothing presenting these as real or that a character thinks are real. There's an implied Christian reference to Halloween originally intended to remember those who are no longer with us...a reference to All Saints Day.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED a Wisconsin Christmas Pie. I thought it was well acted. I usually haven't been a big fan of the acquired movies GAF brings in, but I thought this one was full of Christmas Spirit-I loved her parents! This one is of course Family friendly and I highly recommend watching it!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to share some fun "When Hope Calls" news...
ReplyDeleteTrevor Donovan posted to X today this delightful tease:
"Some WHC S3 news coming soon... and it's good."
Hmmm... Wonder what it could be???
Premiere date?
Another interesting cast member added to the show?
Any guesses???
No guesses, but I love When Hope Calls! Can’t wait to hear the news. Christie
DeleteI wonder there’s crossover in between When Calls the Heart & When Hope Calls: Brookfield!!!
DeleteI hope Lillian & Mountie Gabriel are back in Brookfield & even Grace too
Review: A Wisconsin Christmas Pie -
ReplyDeleteFamily-friendly? Yes -
Recommend? Unfortunately no -
NOTE: SPOILER ALERT
While I certainly wouldn't say this was a bad movie, for me there were just too many problems for me to recommend it:
1. Kate's character came across as too harsh for me to root for her. I did not appreciate her rude attitude toward her parents because they didn't let her know about their situation (and for good reason), and toward Ryan's character because he didn't tell her about his son (which was understandable). I thought her giving back his gift from their teen years was a childish move. Simply, I didn't find her likable.
2. The storyline was too cookie-cutter and predictable: Successful big-town girl (who is up for a promotion) goes back home to the country for Christmas, her parents are hoping she will stay and help, she meets up with her former boyfriend...what will she do?? But what really got me is that she didn't face any internal conflict - she was adamant that she was going back to Chicago, until a VERY sudden (and frankly unbelievable) change of heart at the very end.
3. Kate's acting was good, but Ryan's was just so-so, and I didn't sense any spark between them. A very romance-less romantic movie.
4. And finally, a minor quibble - was anyone else bothered by the fact that at different times in the movie Kate seemed to have a lot of freckles, to some freckles, to no freckles at all? Somebody needs to talk to the makeup person.
I was really hoping to like this movie, since I have been to Door County many times for a getaway. (FYI - Door County has many bays and harbors - they do not mention which location they are at, but the sites did not look familiar to me.)
Hi Mark, I agree with a lot of what you mentioned, I did not feel the chemistry between the leads. And I totally know what you mean about the change in makeup. I watched a Lifetime movie with one of the Mowry twins, not the one that does Hallmark movies but the other one. Anyways, her hair and makeup in the movie were awful! It was like they just scraped that from the budget & said “figure it out, your on your own girl” π it always blows my mind how they think that us as viewers will not notice those things?

Country Encore is family friendly about a corporate jingle writer named Laura Hollis tries to regain the rights to a song she wrote about a past love, Jackson Walker. The conflict escalates when Jackson claims the song, and their dispute is settled through a wager. Laura & Jackson are both childhood sweethearts who were attending Prestigious Music School. Laura lives at her Grandma Rose. Laura's attempt to regain the rights to her song from Jackson, leading to a wager that could determine their future.. The core conflict is resolved through a duet, symbolizing their unresolved feelings and need for accountability for their past relationship troubles. Laura & Jackson rekindled of relationship & loss each other onstage.
