Just two days ago, the calendar marked the First Day of Fall, and today, we are marking on this September 25th - Three Months 'til Christmas Day! My goodness, that number seems hard to believe! We've been adding pumpkins and Fall decor indoors and outside here on our farm to celebrate the harvest season; it all goes by so fast, and I simply want to enjoy it and hold onto it all as long as I possibly can.
Here at It's a Wonderful Movie we watch a Christmas movie or program each month to *Mark the 25th* as we Countdown to December 25th, Christmas Day! And you are welcome to join in! If you plan to watch something Christmassy today or this week, please share your choice in comments below.
I've chosen to watch the Lifetime Christmas movie Snowed-Inn Christmas, starring Bethany Joy Lenz and Andrew Walker. I love watching the banter between these two as they attempt to write the perfect Christmas article, while being stuck in Santa Claus, Indiana together!
I just so happen to have Snowed-Inn Christmas still on my DVR, but it's also available on DVD.
π Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery - 5 PM
π Small Town Christmas - 7 PM
π The Royal Nanny - 9 PM
In case you're curious, the Hallmark Channel will have only one classic Christmas movie airing on Friday night, The Sweetest Christmas, starring Lacey Chabert.

I'm not a big fan of Rachel Leigh Cook but 'Tis The Seaon To Be Merry was a fun movie - loved it at the airport when Adan conned her into shouting at the top of her voice - Don't Go!
ReplyDeleteWe're going to watch it tonight.
Wonder whatever happened to Travis Van Winkle? - that's no Christmas movie for the second year running - Florence
Lifetie announced their Christmas programme on 11 October last year so I suppose we can expect similar timing for 2023 - Florence
ReplyDeleteActually getting quite excited about the Lifetime Christmas movies this year - there could be as many as 8 from Reel One Entertainment - Florence
DeleteYikes! Three months until Christmas doesn’t sound like a lot of time! You’re right Net, it does go by too fast.
ReplyDeleteWish I had the movie you’re watching. I’ll have to remember to record that on Lifetime this year.
Anyhoo, I saw Take Me Back to Christmas in the DVDS you have listed, so I’ll watch that.
I will be watching one from last season that I have not seen yet, Much Ado About Christmas. Hope it is a good one! Can't believe it is almost Countdown to Christmas time and Ornament Premier at my local Hallmark store soon!
ReplyDeleteMuch Ado About Christmas (or A Hot Cocoa Christmas) starring Susie Abromeit is such a delightful movie and the chemistry between Haley and Claud is very sweet. I hope you thoroughly enjoy it! :)
DeleteDear net,
DeleteJust wanted to let you know that I did really enjoy Much Ado About Christmas! Thanks! Susie Abromeit has really grown on me since I first saw her in Snow Bride. Thanks also to others on here who reminded me about Love always Santa, another one of my old favorites! Wish they would show Broadcasting Christmas with Dean Cain again sometime. Thank you Net for all your work on this site!

Happy Mark the 25th, everyone! For the first time in a while, I won't be able to celebrate the day with a movie. I am leaving for a fun week in Toronto early tomorrow morning and so I need to get ready today. (I will make up for it when I get back.) And yes, only 3 months...the Christmas music is already playing in my ears! :)
ReplyDeleteMark 25, Awww... We'll miss you participating with us, but I pray you will have safe travels. Have a wonderful time on your trip! :)
DeleteBlessings! Net
Have fun in Toronto Mark!! I have family there and always enjoyed my time there. Praying for safe travels, my friend!
DeleteHappy 25th everyone! Net I am right there with you, I feel the holidays just pass so quickly I just want to enjoy all the pumpkins and fall colors here in my home even though it’s 86 and sunny today outside π finally cooling down thankfully. For my Christmas movie I’ll be watching Christmas at Cartwright’s, oldie but a goodie. I also want to watch one Iv never watched so I was browsing on my Hallmark Now App and I found a few: Meet me at Christmas with Catherine Bell, I’ll be Home for Christmas with James Brolin, Love Always Santa. Has anyone watched these to recommend? Happy watching everyone!

Paula, Happy 25th to you, too!
DeleteI have seen all three of the movies you mentioned... so I can give you my take on them...
Meet Me at Christmas was just okay for me, a little slow, at times.
I'll be Home for Christmas is fantastic! The romance is great and the little girl in the movie will absolutely melt your heart. She's such a scene stealer, in a good way!
Love Always, Santa - is another movie that is phenomenal!!! In fact, it is such a favorite of mine, I just watched it last week again for the 20th time or so! Again, this is another movie that has a wonderful young actress in it and the chemistry between the leads is sooo good! Watch just 5 minutes and you'll be drawn in. I promise!
Happy Christmas movie watching! Net
Thank you Net for taking the time to give me your recommendations! I’ll for sure watch those 2 movies next π

Can hardly believe we're just 3 months away from Christmas Day! This year has flown by! Net, I will be joining you to watch Snowed-Inn Christmas for our "Mark the 25th" monthly tradition. Haven't watched it in a while. Thanks for the idea! I purchased it on prime so I can watch anytime. Happy "Mark the 25th " everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, How fun that we can watch the same movie together today!!! "Snowed-Inn Christmas" will always be one of my all-time favorites from Lifetime.
DeleteHappy watching, my friend... Pass the popcorn! (haha!!!) Net :)
My mother and I watched “Jingle Bell Princess” for the first time. I loved the beautiful faith reminder. It seemed to have just the right amount of Royal in it. I appreciated that we only saw the palace and then king at the very end. I wish she had been able to share that part of her much sooner. I think there should be a sequel.
ReplyDeleteI will be watching an oldie but a goodie...lol Window Wonderland! This one is a top 5 favorite Hallmark Movie for me. Happy Mark the 25th :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 25! Just 3 months to go. Get ready to pull out the Christmas music, lights, and chop down that tree! And lots of baking. My family's tradition is extra large(dinner plate size) gingerbread men. We each roll out our own and decorate them with buttercream frosting.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll watch Three Wise Men and A Baby this time.
People announced 14 more stars going to Christmas Con in New Jersery this year, and some of our GAF favorites are going! -Maria
