Hallmark Media exclusively reveals via ET the new 'When Calls the Heart' Season 10 Poster, which features an outline of actress Erin Krakow, who portrays teacher, Elizabeth Thornton, along with the Hope Valley church and skyline. There's also the caption, "Good things come to those who hope."
While the image is lovely and artistic looking, it made me wish they had included more cast members for this Season 10 poster. Since 'When Calls the Heart' is about an ensemble cast, I think more of the main characters should've been featured, like Pascale Hutton (Rosemary), Kavan Smith (Lee), Kevin McGarry (Mountie Nathan Grant), Bill Avery (Jack Wagner), Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard), Andrea Brooks (Dr. Faith Carter), Kayla Wallace (Fiona Miller), Ben Rosenbaum (Mike Hickam), Martin Cummins (Henry Gowen), Amanda Wong (Mei Sou), Johannah Newmarch (Molly Sullivan), Loretta Walsh (Florence Blakeley Yost), Hrothgar Mathews (Ned Yost), Viv Leacock (Joseph Canfield), and Natasha Burnett (Minnie Canfield). Plus, the schoolchildren could have been featured, as well. There are plenty of supporting cast members who could've been incorporated into the 10th season poster.
What are your thoughts on the new poster? Please share in comments below. Do you think other 'When Calls the Heart' cast members should've been included?
Look for the Season 10 Premiere of 'When Calls the Heart' coming Sunday, July 30th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the Hallmark Channel.

Really mixed on this. -Maria
ReplyDeleteDon’t plan to watch so poster really doesn’t matter. I have stated before, don’t really know much more of story I’m really interested in. From what others have said, storyline has been altered from book.
ReplyDeleteJoCo, Unfortunately, pretty much from the start, they swayed away from the Janette Oke books I originally fell in love with. It was more like the books when the townspeople were poorer and they had the coal mine.
DeleteYeah, I had stopped watching the show a while back when they made it seem that she was the entire show. I much prefer that it is an ensemble cast, and i preferred many other characters of hers. that is just me, and why i stopped watching. I know it is not her fault, just that the show just focuses on promoting that it is all her. But i do think she looks beautiful there in the picture and I hope Elizabeth is happy.

I’ve come to realize Hallmark no longer cares about what we think it’s sad but I feel someday I won’t be watching the channel anymore!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Net! I think they should have many of the main characters on the poster as in the past. I don't care for this one. I'm also afraid the ratings are not going to be as good this year because of them showing the series in the summer when so many people will be vacationing. Just my thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI understand where you are coming from, Net, but to be honest, I absolutely love this poster! In fact, this might be one of my all-time favorite Hallmark posters. Maybe because, like you said, it is on the artsy side. I think Erin looks lovely, and I like her gazing off, as if wondering what the future holds. I also like how they placed the church near the middle as a main focal point, and how surrounding the church they included the beauty God created - the mountains, the sky, the land, the water. And it all flows together so well. To me, it's very simple but very powerful.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to watch When Calls The Heart?
ReplyDeleteI've watched it from the beginning and shall do so for the 10th season. Sempre fedele.
DeleteI want to know about the teary eyes.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I didn't even notice the tears. Thanks for catching that.
DeleteYes, I enjoy plenty of the other characters. She doesn't carry the whole show! In fact, I like some of them better. This is a disservice to the whole cast.
ReplyDeleteOk, the artist in me can't help myself..;) I love how the rocks blend in with her coat. The whole scenery is beautiful with the schoolhouse with the mountains in the background and the green grass and creek. With her hair flowing through. Whoever drew this up did a great job!
ReplyDeleteBut I agree with you Net, of course while the picture was beautiful, I would have enjoyed seeing the Hope Valley people with her. The best thing about this show is the they had for each other.
There is too many to mention so I would start with Rosemary, Lee, Bill, Lucas, and Nathan.
NEWS: 1 of GAF's 21 new Christmas movies for this year is called Christmas by Chance, and Merritt Patterson and Trevor Donovan are in it! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Yes! This was such wonderful news today!
DeleteFor anyone interested in more details on Christmas By Chance, I posted the main press release here: https://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2023/03/trevor-donovan-and-merritt-patterson.html
I agree with you Net. They should have stayed with the well known posters with the ensemble cast.
ReplyDeleteI just wish that Hallmark Channel would replay several episodes as they did for The Way Home. I dvr them and such a late start in the year I'm sure that there will be power outages from bad storms, possibly tornadoes.
Namegirl, I agree... it would be nice if they could repeat WCTH episodes this summer, in case there are weather-related issues or people vacationing, etc... Hopefully, they will consider that.
DeleteNamegirl, they normally leave the episodes on the Hallmark TV app for 3 days after aired. But last season, they offered it available for 6 months. Hopefully this will be the case this season as well.
DeleteGave up on this show a few seasons ago. I do not care for a number of movies that Hallmark is pushing out there.
ReplyDeleteI'm on season 3 right now. Decided to watch all in order before July. Just watched the scene when Cody holds on to Abigail saying "Please don't let go." Made me cry. So did Lee's proposal. ππ
