Amy's daughter, Lyndy, who somehow looks just like a little Amy, has a special role in this episode, as she's working on a sweet surprise for her mama's birthday and going to school (sort-of) for the first time. I was impressed at how well she said her lines at such a young age.
Unfortunately, we don't see Lou and Peter's daughter's Georgie or Katie in this episode. In fact, Georgie does not appear in this season, at all, and Katie (not sure why) is played by a new actress.
I won't spoil any of the storylines, but we do see Lou in season 15, as she's still working through her love issues and her father, Tim, who returns from his trip with a major surprise. Plus, there is, of course, a special horse with ties to the past, who needs Amy's special attention.
See the sneak-peek trailer below...
UPDATE: I received this comment regarding Heartland and I wanted to make you all aware: "Just a heads up, there is a same sex relationship in this season. I had suspicions last season, and it is definitely mentioned this season. It’s not a major storyline, but so sad it was introduced." (Thank you, Anonymous, for letting us know.) I wanted to be certain everyone here knew about this - so you can choose if you will watch more of Season 15.
Heartland Season 15 Trailer:
I am excited for this season of Heartland for some things I read about. I adore little Lindy so glad they keep the same actress. I am sad there is no Georgie. Katie is a different actress so many times. it is hard to get used to her and then a new one is there. Is there going to be a season 16? i LOVE this show.

Sabrina, I keep seeing different things on-line about Season 16. I don't think they've officially announced, yet... as fans keep asking and wondering. Typically, they would be filming now.
DeleteAnyway, I hope you enjoy the show tonight! And, hope we hear Season 16 news soon! :)
Net, what's the best way to watch old episodes of Heartland?
ReplyDeleteWell, there are many ways...
DeleteUPtv plays older episodes - typically in the morning and they will be playing reruns after the Season 15 episodes on Thursday nights.
DVD's are another good option. You can find previous seasons available on DVD at Amazon:
https://amzn.to/39vKqtr
Also, if you have the ability to stream, BYU offers all 14 previous seasons of Heartland to watch through their web-site or app - completely commercial free! See here:
https://www.byutv.org/heartland
BYU also plays episodes on TV, and they are commercial free on there, as well.
I also want to say that through the years 9 out of 10 times, Heartland is family friendly, but there have been a few moments here and there, but nothing explicit in any way, that I personally saw through watching on UP.
Hope you enjoy watching!
You can also subscribe to Up Faith and Family to watch all 15 seasons commercial free. Plus there are behind the scenes tidbits and other Heartland goodies. It's inexpensive and there are so many other good tv shows and movies available as well. Most things that have been on UP eventually end up on Faith and Family. Jennifer R
DeleteJennifer R, Thank you for adding that option, too! That's an excellent suggestion! :)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for making us aware of this. I wondered about a certain character myself last season. I must say, I am disappointed, but not surprised. Their spin-off show Hudson also had a gay character. It seems every modern show today has this. Very sad we have no real family options any more, unless we watch old series.
DeleteAgain, I am grateful you commented to let us know. Thank you!
I am super excited the POstables Show is playing on Saturday on HMM. This is the 1st time all year they have played the show. We had t get a new dvr back in december and I will finally be able to record the shows, and have the entire collection of SSD on my new dvr. Love the POstables.
ReplyDeleteSabrina
Sabrina, I love those older episodes of SSD, too! Wow, I hadn't realized they haven't played that first (and only) season all year. I guess you would notice that a lot more with having to replace your DVR. That's no fun. With all the technology today, you'd think they would have some way to transfer your programs to your new machine.
DeleteAnyway, enjoy the SSD marathon! I also featured it in the weekend post.
Also, be sure to check out the update at the end of the Heartland post above. Sounds like they've sadly gone woke, too.
I have to admit I had never watched Heartland. I got intrigued when reading posts here so I have started at Season 1. I am watching on Hallmark Movies Now. And now I have set my DVR for Season 15, thank you Net! At first I couldn't get into it but as I progressed I have been drawn in and I just love it!
ReplyDeleteJanet, There are certainly ups and downs throughout the seasons and some stories and couples I like over others. Unfortunately, I just learned there is a woke story in this season. Thankfully, from what we've been told, it isn't a major storyline, but it's still there, and I wanted to be certain you knew. I personally love all the heartwarming family moments throughout the seasons and how they are always there for one another.
DeleteThank you for sharing with us! :)
I wonder what up is going to do now that shows like this are including immoral story lines. Do you have connections with anyone there? Is there a way to find out what their agenda is moving forward? I certainly hope they won't cave like hallmark. What a disappointment that would be:(
ReplyDeleteI too watched season 15 and they introduced Rick who is a gay character spoiler in season 16 they've introduced his significant other he's going to have a baby with him adopt one seriously they should have ended the show at season 13 because it's not family oriented anymore
ReplyDeleteagreed
DeleteAgree. Everything has to cave to the LGBTQ agenda. How can UpFaith consciously air this? It stops when people stop paying for. No medium to put out your agenda and the agenda gets shut down.
DeleteSo sad that family friendly heartland has to cave to the woke agenda by having a gay couple, I will be fast forwarding through that part. It was a perfect show right up to that point.
ReplyDeleteEverything has to be woke. Put it back to sleep and stop pushing this narrative on Christians who enjoyed this show.
