heavy.com recently shared this wonderful article titled: "Danica McKellar Has ‘Miraculous’ Faith Experience After Visiting Candace Bure." In the article, they share what Danica has expressed via social media after visiting Candace's church. Danica openly shared (with teary eyes, at times) that she's... "experiencing a relationship with God and Jesus that I’ve never had before."
The article goes on to say that "McKellar posted an Instagram video on April 24, sharing that for most of her life, she was skeptical of Christianity because of the hypocrisy that she saw in the faith. But she said she’s starting to see things in a different light..."
They go on to share in even greater detail in the article of what Danica has shared with her followers via Instagram regarding her faith, forgiveness, and this new journey, even adding in the heartfelt responses of encouragement she received from her fellow GAC Family and Hallmark friends.
I was truly touched by Danica's words as she begins her walk with The Lord. I pray this is just the beginning for and her family.

On Tuesday, April 26th, The Hollywood Reporter shared this article, which may or not affect the production of TV movies in Canada...
"Directors Guild of Canada B.C. Issues Strike Notice to American Producers."
Here is a portion of the article:
"The Directors Guild of Canada’s British Columbia branch has issued a formal strike notice to the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and its local counterpart, the Canadian Media Producers Association.
The announcement follows the B.C. union’s first-ever strike authorization vote, where members voted 92.2 percent in favor of striking on local U.S. film and TV sets if talks with North American producers did not reach a new collective deal.
The B.C. union has to wait 72 hours following the strike notice to begin labor action, with any production not covered by a safe harbor agreement becoming subject to possible picket lines. It’s understood that most productions currently shooting in British Columbia have signed safe harbor agreements and, with compliance, will be protected from any potential labor action."
Hopefully, this will not disrupt production too much, especially if many of the networks are preparing for their Christmas films. This is another great reason why these American companies should film here in the states and support our country.

Speaking of striking deals... in case you missed it, 2 more actresses recently signed contracts with Hallmark, Taylor Cole ("Making Spirits Bright") and Aimee Teegarden ("My Christmas Family Tree"). Are you excited to see these two actresses continue to work with the Hallmark network?
Aimee has a new movie coming up in May on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titled "Heart of the Matter," in which she portrays a doctor.

Fortunately, I couldn't care less who signs on with Hallmark. Won't miss watching their movies.

Sabrina, I am with you.
DeleteI'm really sad the way the situation has become confrontational.
ReplyDeleteAs Net has previously remarked there was no problem in the past with many stars making movies for different channels with no problem e.g. Andrew Walker, Niall Matter etc - Florence
lots of wonderful news.
ReplyDeleteAs I said before, I'll say again: Hallmark making their actors sign these deals feels wrong, and unfair. What if any of them want to do say a UP TV or Lifetime movie one day?
ReplyDeleteAwww, that Heavy article sounds so sweet! -Maria
GAC still does not have a contract with Verizon. Much to my dislike. But until this happens Hallmark will continue to draw better ratings and advertisers money. Hopefully some day they will get a deal with verizion.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be more happy to hear the news about Danica! It's so wonderful to see the Lord work in someone's life. Praise God π
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to hear of the passing of Naomi Judd on Saturday. I have always enjoyed the music of the Judds. And I remember the wonderful performance of hers as a brash bathroom attendant in Window Wonderland back in 2013 (one of my favorite early Hallmark Christmas movies). God Bless, Naomi!
ReplyDeleteMark 25, I absolutely agree. I put out a similar comment on Twitter when I heard the news. I loved her early work with The Judds. Our local radio station only played country music when I was a little girl and I didn't love all of the country songs back then, but I always loved when The Judds came on. I treasure those memories.
DeleteAlso, like you, I loved her in Window Wonderland, and she was also in the Hallmark movie, Nearlyweds, but I thought her Window Wonderland performance truly allowed her to shine.
It was terribly sad to hear of her passing. Praying for healing for her family.
I just read that Luke MacFarlane signed an agreement with Hallmark. It's gotten to the point where I need a "scorecard" - really!
ReplyDeleteSo here goes! On my list, I show the following actors and actresses who have signed exclusive or non-exclusive contracts:
GAC - Danica McKellar, Trevor Donovan, Susie Abromeit, Jen Lilley, Jessica Lowndes, & Candace Cameron-Bure.
Hallmark - Lacey Chabert, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Holly Robinson-Peete, Brennan Elliott, Heather Hemmens, Andrew Walker, Taylor Cole, Aimee Teegarden, & Luke MacFarlane.
Please let me know if I have something wrong or have missed somebody. Thanks much!
Mark 25, I believe you have them all, except today's latest addition to Hallmark - Ryan Paevey.
DeleteI'm beginning to get both annoyed and upset at what is going on now - where is this going to end?
DeleteWhy shouldn't actors be able to take up a role with any channel if one was offered?
I don't believe it was ever a problem in the past and a number of our favourites have made movies for different channels.
It seems to be just Hallmark and GAC which is doing this and the tone is becoming acrimonious - maybe they're afraid that some actors might try to play them off to push up the going payment.
Could the two Channels not just try to exist as friendly rivals? - in the end the public will decide whose output they like the best - Florence
The only one from hallmark i even care about is Andrew Walker. The others I dont really care much about. And with this info, you can likely tell who will be in upcoming movies as it makes sense why heather hemmons is in summer movie and why aimee teagarden is all of a sudden on every time i turn on HM or HMM. Havent watched any Lacey movies in a very long time.
DeleteI do like Brenna Elliot, although he seems to play the same character all the time, the guy who has always been in love with the lead, but she either didnt know it, or had another boyfriend. He and Lacey in the AOMH movies are the best chemistry he has had and i have never saw again.
Now I LOVE Jen Lilley, Jill, Trevor, Susie, CCB, and Jessica and Danica. I would love to see Cameron Mathison on more GAC and maybe Debbie and Cameron can do something together like hosting a preview show.
Sabrina
Apparently not every actor who is approached is willing to sign an exclusive deal. I just read an interview with Lisa Daly, Executive VP with Hallmark, and she said that "some people have turned us down". It would be interesting to know who.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it just!
DeleteBut it does show that Hallmark are looking to have actors commit to them.
We might get some clues if we find some actors no longer appearing on Hallmark - it does eem to me that if any of those whom we have come to think of regulars now do a movie for another channel then they get spurned by Hallmark - Florence
The path Hallmark has chosen is a dark one so this does not surprise me. My thoughts are that Hallmark is choosing the actors who are willing to be in all kinds of movies; regardless of content. I think the actors who signed on with GAC are saying no to more than just Hallmark.
