Mark your calendars, Heartland fans - the drama series returns in the U.S. with new episodes Thursday, July 8th, on UPtv!
Heartland originates on the CBC channel in Canada. Season 14 already aired there from January to March. In May, Season 14 became available in the U.S. through UPtv's streaming service UPtv Faith and Family.
Season 14 of Heartland finds horses healing Amy as much as Amy heals horses. While Amy struggles with a life-changing challenge, the entire town of Hudson will have to deal with an unexpected disaster that threatens to derail Lou’s first term as mayor. But, the family will pull through together and be stronger as a result. Family is courage, and times change.
Also, in Season 14, along with most of the regular cast members, you can also look for two well known Hallmark actors, Kevin McGarry ("When Calls the Heart") and Gabe Hogan ("Murder, She Baked").
Here's an extended trailer of Heartland's Season 14:
I am often asked if Heartland is a family-friendly series. I would say 9 out of 10 times it is; however, there have been some issues with language, drinking and although it is rare, there have been some adult situations. I have not viewed the 10 episodes for Season 14, yet, but I hope there will also be some touching family moments, as there have been in all of the previous seasons of Heartland.

I started watching Heartland last year and am almost done with season 11. It is my favorite show!
ReplyDeleteJennifer R, So good to hear how much you enjoy Heartland! Season 13 was one of my favorites - so I hope you'll enjoy it when you get there. It's amazing how they keep the same characters and yet, keep the stories so fresh and interesting.
DeleteHeartland: Season 15 Renewal for Canadian Family Drama Series
ReplyDeleteThe longest-running Canadian scripted drama is going to keep running. The Heartland family drama has been renewed for a 15th season on CBC. The 10 episodes will begin airing on Sunday, October 17th in Canada. Season 15 has yet to be officially picked up by a U.S. outlet and many viewers are still waiting to watch season 14.
The Heartland series is based on the bestselling series of books by Lauren Brooke and the cast includes Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Shaun Johnston, Alisha Newton, Chris Potter, Kerry James, Nathaniel Arcand, and Jessica Steen. It’s a multi-generational saga that’s set on the Heartland ranch in the rolling foothills of Alberta, Canada. It follows Amy Fleming (Marshall), her older sister Lou (Morgan), and their Grandfather Jack (Johnston). Together, they confront the challenges of running the ranch that has been in their family for generations.
The 14th season of Heartland finished airing in March on CBC in Canada. In the United States, the UP Faith and Family streaming service is currently releasing season 14 episodes on Thursdays and also offers the preceding 13 seasons.
At some point, it’s expected that the UPtv cable channel will air the 14th season as well. Season 13 started streaming on UP Faith and Family in February 2020 and those episodes began airing on UPtv in June 2020.
In the States, Netflix also streams the Heartlandseries but typically releases the newest season much later. Seasons 12 and 13 just came to Netflix in February 2021.

YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! This is the BEST news! My husband is going to be happy to hear ths news. We love watching this show together. Thanks for posting the extended trailer too.
ReplyDeleteAnna, I'm so happy to hear this; I love that Heartland is a show that brings people together!
DeleteIf there's 10 episodes of Heartland this could be why UPtv dosen't seem to air so many RomComs during July and August - Florence
ReplyDeleteFlorence, I'm hoping UP will have some movie premieres in July, but I haven't received any news, yet. I've also been wondering if "Heartland" could be a factor.
DeleteI was so happy when I heard this news from my friend Net. It was Net that got me hooked on this show.
ReplyDeleteThere definitely are adult situations like the divorce of Peter and Lou. I dont like the divorce but i liked how they showed their relationship and it crumbling and how it affected Georgie. I wish that they worked it out, but i know sometimes in life that doesn't happen. It seemed like Peter was always doing anything to make Lou happy and then he finally stood up for what he wanted and she was upset. when she bought that house, it seemed like the breaking point. Some of my favorite episodes of the series are Broken Heartland, the entire family comes together in ways, Georgie thru adoption, Ty came to stay the the ranch as part of the program to help young people, none of the family came together conventionally. Lisa had her own life and farm and loved Jack and they even lived separately when they were married for a while.
I know Peter and Lou still love each other a lot. they seemed to get married so quickly, and dealt with the living and working in different provinces of Canada, and Lou gave up a lot to come back to the ranch, i just think it was really good writing on how people come together and make decisions and life throws curve balls. i am hoping they keep the actress that plays georgie, she is so good. LOVE little Lindy, and hope we get more stories with Katie growing up.
Awe, Sabrina... I'm so glad I could share Heartland with you. I had no idea you would enjoy it as much as I have over the years. I just love the way the family goes through various trials and yet, they are always there for one another in the end.
DeleteI would love to see Lou reunite with Peter. Of course, I like Kevin McGarry, but I've just never really felt Lou's connection with Mitch. I especially didn't like when he was crawling through her window. That cheapened their relationship IMO. Plus, Tim's relationships with women has always been a little sketchy.
The best part is the way they connect the stories of healing horses with their own lives. That has always been fascinating.
I'm so glad, Sabrina, you enjoy Heartland. Hope this new season will be another good one; I have a feeling it will pull at our heartstrings.
