Where can you find Christmas this week? On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the Hallmark Channel, you can find Christmas under the stars with Jesse Metcalfe and Autumn Reeser, AND you can find Christmas at a well known amusement park with Danica McKellar and Niall Matter.
As we approach Memorial Day weekend, I want to highlight a special scene in Christmas Under the Stars, where the Christmas tree lot owner, Clem, briefly speaks of losing his friend, who he met in the Air Force. Then Clem, as seen in the photo above, kindly greets a young service man who is heading out on duty for 6 months and wants to make this Christmas special.

Storyline: When Nick, a career-focused investment banker, is fired from his high-powered firm at Christmastime, he takes a job at a Christmas tree lot owned by a warmhearted, elderly man. There, he meets Julie, an astronomy teacher who’s always looked to the stars for hope. As the Christmas spirit washes over him — and he begins falling for Julie — the once self-centered Nick discovers the joy of helping others. When he learns that Julie and the tree lot owner are facing hard times, Nick strives to end their troubles in time for them all to share a Christmas under the stars.

Storyline:Event planner Rachel Davis returns to her Tennessee hometown to take on the biggest job of her career – Dollywood’s 30th Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration – and is teamed up with unimaginative operations director Luke Hakman to plan the event that has to be as bombastic and glamourous as Dolly Parton herself. And when Dolly gets involved in a little matchmaking, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas event lights up the sky with joy, laughter and love.
Both of these Christmas movies airing this week are family friendly.
I like both of these Christmas movies, especially "Christmas Under the Stars!" The pairing of Jesse Metcalfe and Autumn Reeser is excellent; you'll instantly feel the warmth of this sweet rom-com when love is found at the Star Top Christmas tree lot.
Even though I love this movie, I am, however, a little surprised we are seeing it repeat again during the week... thankfully, *Christmas in July* will be coming soon in June and we'll get to see a little more variety of Christmas movies!
