Following each new episode of Heartland, UPtv will debut Hudson. This six-part bonus content is an original series set in the world of Heartland, following Jade Virani and her friends as they hang out together at Maggie’s diner and around the town of Hudson. The core of this series is the budding friendship/rivalry between Jade and a new waitress from the city, Sloane, along with Trace (one of Jade's friends from the rodeo school).
(NOTE FROM NET: I just learned that there is a homosexual character on the show, Hudson. I wanted to make sure you were all aware. My family and I will not be watching this series.)

A Heartland spin-off? I had no idea this existed.
ReplyDeleteHi Net! Just wanted to let you know that the one character on Hudson is actually gay... it's a shame that they have to add that into the show:(
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed to hear this news about "Hudson." I'll definitely be skipping this show now.
DeleteMe too. I stumbled upon the news on an old instagram post a while ago. It is disappointing, especially that Uptv is okay with airing it! Do you think they are aware?
DeleteThey surely are aware of this content. While most of their programming and movies are family-friendly, I have found some through the years that are not.
DeleteGay? I will skip this one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up about Hudson, I've been turning it off after Heartland. I still enjoy Heartland but it also seems a little less "clean" than it used to be. :(
ReplyDeleteI thought UpTV was a Christian/family channel up until Lou Flemming's openly gay cohort came on the screen! Makes me sick that they relate Christian with homosexuality, it don't relate!!!
ReplyDeleteVery disappointed to turn on Heartland and see the introduction of a gay character! I thought this was a Christian network and it would be family friendly. This is very confusing to explain to children. I am very sad and will not be watching anymore.
