Starting with A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love on November 17th, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will move the remainder of their NEW Thursday and Friday night Christmas movie premieres to Saturday and Sunday, which means we'll no longer have 4 consecutive nights of NEW Hallmark Christmas movie premieres- beginning next week!
Please Note: There are NO changes to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries schedule this week with A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas still premiering Thursday, November 7, 2019 and Holiday for Heroes premiering Friday, November 8, 2019. Plus, A Christmas Miracle will still premiere Thursday, November 14, 2019. Following that, I have the latest changes listed below...
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - 10 Christmas Movie updates:
*A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love – moves to Sunday, November 17, 2019
*Holiday Hearts – moves to Saturday, November 23, 2019
*Our Christmas Love Song – moves to Sunday, November 24, 2019
*Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen – moves to Saturday, November 30, 2019

*Christmas on my Mind - moves to Saturday, December 21, 2019
*A Family Christmas Gift - moves to Sunday, December 22, 2019
Are there additional new HMM Christmas movies?
ReplyDeleteThere are no additional movies, at this point, only premiere date changes.
DeleteI remember HMM aired Veteran Christmas on Veteran’s Day last year
ReplyDeleteExpected for Holiday for Heroes
Yes, it is nice to see Holiday for Heroes premiere so close to Veteran's Day, which falls on Monday this year.
DeleteWhoa!!! Those are some honkin' big changes! I myself will miss the four nights of movies, all nice and spread out, but I guess not enough people have been watching on Thursday and Friday. I've enjoyed not having to chose between the Hallmark and HMM overlapping premieres. :-) Remember they tried the 8 and 10 EST premieres once last year? I bet that was just too late for many people. I am central time, and I can't handle past 10p. I wonder if they've ever tried moving Hallmark Channel premieres up to 7 EST, with HMM at 9 EST....
ReplyDeleteGreat job keeping up with all the craziness, Net!!!
~Alicia
Hello Alicia! I know, right? I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the guide. 10 movie time premiere changes! I've made all the updates on my site, which was quite a lot.
DeleteIt does seem unfortunate that the movie premiere times will overlap now, which will cause many to choose one movie over another to watch live or record for later. And I know some people don't have that record option, which makes it even harder.
I like your idea of airing them at back to back times, instead of at the same time. I wish they could figure out a time that would work for all time zones!
Thank you for your sweet comment! The schedule changing hysteria continues!!! :)
Blessings! Net
HMM is supposedly air Christmas movies on Thursday & Friday
ReplyDeleteYes, they will air HMM moves this week on Thursday & Friday and next Thursday, but after that, they've moved all the rest of the HMM movies to the weekends. See the update above! ^
DeleteAw, that's too bad. I was really enjoying the four days in a row and only having to wait three days without a new movie. I'll just have to spread out my movie viewing myself, I guess. Thanks for the update, Net!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable!!! Hallmark cannot make up their minds about anything it seems these days! I'm so afraid this is going to hurt them...makes them look so unorganized. Even now they keep playing the same movies over and over while there are plenty that have not aired. Net, you do such a great job girl! I don't know how you keep up!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Joyce! It is definitely a puzzle sometimes.
DeleteHope you enjoy lots of great Christmas movies this weekend! I'm really looking forward to the new Godwink movie! :)
The ratings for all nights have been down, so I don't get why make it worse with more competition.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Interesting point, Misty! I, too, can't imagine this will make them better! :)
DeleteI bought some erasable pens a few years ago for this exact reason! It makes it nice to be able to change my Christmas movie calendar without it becoming too messy.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Kellie! I really need to invest in some erasable pens, too! I usually pencil everything in my calendar. Unfortunately, being able to erase is an absolute must these days.
DeleteI'm just like you - in not wanting my notes to be messy. When you start to cross one thing out and add it somewhere else, then it can be difficult to read, especially when there are numerous changes, like this year!
Thanks so much for the tip! :)
So apparently Hallmark believes all their fans have DVRs to schedule premieres on Hallmark and HM&M against one another. (Why would they dilute their own ratings like this?)
ReplyDeleteHello Bill! I'm with you on this! Unfortunately, not everyone has a DVR and the ability to record various programs at the same time, which causes these viewers to choose between movies. I'm not sure moving the new HMM movies to the weekend will help, but we'll see.
DeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy all these updates but I just am so frustrated by Hallmark constant changing. Is this for better ratings? So now we have to not only chose between two different hallmark channels but also lifetime's and uptv's all at the same time? I want to enjoy chirstmas and all the feel good movies. This is starting to feel to business focused and sloppy as to roll out. Starting christmas movies early, dropping fall harvest movies...sloppy sloppy sloppy from hallmark. Just needed to vent because I deeply enjoy hallmark and the others all season (and year) long.
Hello Cheryl! You are always welcome to vent here with us! We totally get how you feel. Well, anyway... I sure do! As much as we love Hallmark, and we absolutely do, all of these changes can be a challenge to keep up with. And, yes, Fall Harvest was quite a disappointment this year, with it's reduced movie premieres. I still don't get that decision, but there must've been reasons.
DeleteUnfortunately, I know Hallmark's programming department has to make tough decisions, sometimes. They have to make enough money to pay the actors we love, plus their staff, crew, writers, etc... I know it doesn't make the changes any less frustrating.
Thank you, Cheryl, for sharing here with us! We're all in this together!
Thank you so much for updating us. I am going to check my Hallmark Movies app, on my phone, to see if they have updated the schedule.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Susan! :)
DeleteI am kind of disappointed that HMM is switched those premiere dates because I liked not having to choose between the two channels. If only they kept the Thursday/Friday premieres but made them at 8 Eastern instead of 9?
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. It makes it harder for me, as well. I wish they would've, at least, kept the Friday night premiere time slot, but it must've not worked with ratings, either. Like you, this will also force me to find additional encore times to watch everything.
DeleteBy the way, with my weekend movie updates, I'll be providing 2-3 additional encore airings for each movie. I hope that helps! :)
Even up to Saturday on Hallmark Drama they were playing the commercial, every commercial break 1st commercial was HMM movies every thurs and fri November and December, they are so unorganized.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed they have extended movies to go 3 mins past the hour, so they are on at 8:00 to 10:03, and so on. I am pretty sure that is a ploy to get you to miss the 1st 3 mnins of another network, or they believe you wont change the channel if you missed the 1st 3 mins, more plays so they can claim they are #1, I am convinced they have become all about being #1 and care only about 1 fan base.
I have to say if it weren't for Hallmark Drama, I would probably not be watching any Hallmark movies this season. I wish they would move A Boyfriend for Christmas, Naughty or Nice to Drama or HMM cause they still only play those movies in the middle of the night. I would rather watch the old movies over and over than the movies from last year. But as long as Hallmark makes certain fan base happy and is #1 non sports, non news, scripted show on Saturday night in age group on 30-31, in homes with 3 or more children and exactly 2 dogs, they are happy.
Hello Sabrina! It is great to have so many options this year. I personally love seeing a mix of old and new. Every time "A Season for Miracles" shows up on Hallmark Drama, I must admit, I'm glued! There is just something extra unique and special about those classics.
DeleteAs for the odd time for ending/starting the movies in prime time... I'm not really loving that, either. I mean, Lifetime and UPtv did it first, of course, but it makes it even harder to watch movies on another channel.
Unfortunately, the networks can't always choose what makes their viewers happy. They essentially have to go with whatever way keeps the lights on. I wish it didn't have to be that way, but they are a business, with many employees.
Oh... by the way, I love A Boyfriend for Christmas and Naughty or Nice, too! I caught "Boyfriend" once. It is too bad some of the great ones are played only over night. I think Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade totally got the shaft this year. It is such a great movie, but sadly, it's not even scheduled to air Thanksgiving week!
On my list I have a movie called Alice in Christmas Land but I don't see it listed anywhere now. Did I imagine this or was it pulled from the list?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
KD
Hello KD!
DeleteYou are not imagining it at all. "Alice in Christmasland" was originally scheduled to premiere in December on the Hallmark Channel. From what we've been hearing lately, Alice may be moving to Winterfest in January! Stay tuned, though, you never know if it might change again! :)
It’s actually Alice in Winterfest will premiere in January 2020
DeleteI wonder if Alice in Christmasland was already Christmas filmed & save next year: Christmas in July or Countdown to Christmas
DeleteActually, "Alice in Winterland" is currently under production and filming at Big White Ski Resort in Canada right now, with Italia Ricci ("Rome in Love"), Chad Michael Murray ("Write Before Christmas"), and Jack Turner ("One Winter Proposal")!
DeleteWe are expecting to see it during Hallmark's Winterfest. Hallmark will most likely put out a Press Release for Winterfest in early or mid December - before the Winterfest Preview Show on December 28th, which will be hosted by Lacey Chabert and Ryan Paevey!
What happened to The Christmas Wish on HMM. I have it airing on 11/21, but it's not on my guide.
ReplyDeleteHello! "The Christmas Wish" was re-titled to "Holiday Hearts," which was moved to November 23rd. The movie stars Ashley Williams and Paul Campbell.
DeleteIf you like, you can see the poster and plot details for this movie on my site here:

I am so happy I found this blog! I have been airing my frustrations to friends who think it's hilarious. The additional :05 minutes to each new Hallmark movie that started last week really set me off as I had set manual timers for all of them. I noticed after watching two movies where the ending was cut off...! Ugh. And now they have moved the Th and Fr movies to the weekends... Double Ugh. :) (Thanks for letting me vent.)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, regardless of when they air or for how long, I WILL watch... But all the changes has been pretty frustrating...
I knew if I came here I'd find the answer as to why the Thursday/Friday movies were changed as I tried to program my DVR. I'm already so overwhelmed with the sheer number of new movies on all channels. I actually have the movies no longer shown on my DVR from 2017 and 2018 for which I am grateful, but I find myself watching my favorites that they have been showing on live tv instead of watching the new ones I've recorded! I do have one question about last year's Candace Cameron Bure's Christmas Across America that was never shown. Was an explanation ever given why it was pulled? It seemed so festive.
ReplyDeleteThe increasing number of NEW Christmas movies this year has been very overwhelming for most of us, too! If you're someone (like me!) who generally likes to watch everything - then, either your schedule or DVR is full of Christmas movies!
DeleteAs for Candace's Christmas Special - "Christmas Across America," I wish I knew, but I've never heard an explanation on why that program didn't air. I thought, at that time, it wasn't ready, perhaps, as far as editing and would air this year, but there has never been a new air date given or a reason for not airing it. You may recall, it was pulled pretty much on the day it was set to premiere.
You can still see a few details about it on Hallmark's web-site, but they have removed it's main page where they typically show the dates a program is airing. Here's what you can see:
https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/candace-cameron-bures-christmas-across-america/cast/candace-cameron-bure
Hope this helps! Maybe one day they'll release it on DVD or put it on Hallmark Movies Now to stream! :)
Blessings! Net
