Whatever you watch or do...
I hope you all have a wonderful last weekend of Summer!
I'm so excited for Hallmark Channel viewers to get this 2 episode preview of When Hope Calls! If you already love When Calls the Heart, I'm sure you are going to love this too!
On Sunday night, I always enjoy the family drama on Chesapeake Shores, but pleeez... come on Trace and Abby... this tension between the two of you is just too much. Get back together already! However - with a new Chesapeake Shores movie coming next year, somehow I don't think it's going to happen - yet! Ugh!!!
After Chesapeake Shores, I cannot wait to watch Jill Wagner and Kristoffer Poloha in their all new Mystery 101. Last week was already fantastic, and I can't wait to see where this new movie takes their characters and love story!
You have made summer and winter."
Looking forward to murder 101. Net do you know what mystery series are over such as Gourmet Detective, Fixer Upper? What about revising Flower Shop with different actors? Thanks in advance for any information you can impart.
ReplyDeleteHello Anon55! I think all the ones you mentioned are over for good, EXCEPT "Gourmet Detective!" There has been talk of it on social media and a listing for a new production on IMDB. To my knowledge, Hallmark hasn't announced it, yet, but we'll see!
DeleteOh Net! You are so right...the tension between Abby and Trace is well....ridiculous! But the writers know what they're doing...we will keep coming back for these two alone! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI just love Mystery 101 too! It's my all time favorite HMM mystery series next to Murder She Baked. I'm looking forward to this weeks episode!
Hello Joyce! Good to hear the TrAbby relationship, or lack thereof, bugs you too! Ugh!!! However, I'm personally so glad Bree and Simon have broken up. Finally! Those two were just not working. But what I love, love, love... is seeing Barbara Niven and Treat Williams together! Can't wait for all the kids to find out!
DeleteOh, and I LOVE "Mystery 101," too! Did you see Jill and Kris on Home & Family this week? Jill said this one was a harder one to figure out - so now I can't wait to watch it even more!!!
I always loved "Murder She Baked," too. I think fans would still love for them to come back and do one more, or two or three... etc.... haha! If only they would! :)
Hello Net! Oh me too on the Bree and Simon breakup! Thought they would never get rid of him! Lol And glad to see Barbara & Treat together as well. I've been trying to think of a match for Bree. Obviously Kristoffer Polaha since they were so good together in Hearts Of Christmas, but he's all tied up with his own series. As much as I love Marc Blucas, not sure of their chemistry either. Andrew Walker has chemistry with everyone, Lucas Bryant?? What are your thoughts Net?
DeleteOhhhh... I think Kristoffer would be a perfect choice, especially if she finds a love interest in the spin-off movie!!!
DeleteI thought of two more...Josh Kelly that was in Christmas Bells Are Ringing with Emilie or Josh Henderson that was in Time for Me To Come For Christmas and he can sing. Maybe get a job with Trace! :) I'm on a roll net!!
DeleteAwww... I love those suggestions, too, Joyce!
DeleteHow about Kevin McGarry - since he can also sing, and he was in "Winter Castle" with Emilie!!!
Or, how about Will Kemp or Brennan Elliott... since they are both great actors and very charming!?!?
Oh yes Net! Very good suggestions...add Wes Brown to the mix who can also sing!
DeleteWes is an excellent pick, too! We should get a job with the casting department. Wouldn't that be fun! :)
DeleteAbousley! If only they would hire us! Lol!
DeleteOut of curiosity, how is "When Hope Calls" holding up to WCTH? I get that its only been the first couple of episodes that have aired and that the first season is usually the one where they see what works and what doesn't. Just wondered how it was doing or if it was too similar to WCTH. (Not that I would mind a similar show)
ReplyDeleteHello H.R., I have, so far, seen 4 episodes of "When Hope Calls," and each one just keeps getting better and better. First of all, I just love the sisters, Lillian and Grace, who were introduced to us on "When Calls the Heart," and the townspeople of Brookfield are incredible people too. Each one has unique histories and background which adds to the stories in each episode. The orphaned children are all so precious, too. Plus, both Lillian and Grace have romantic interests, which is very much like "When Calls the Heart." The era is, of course, the same as WCTH, except they don't have the telephone, yet, there in Brookfield. The set, itself, is stunning. The buildings in town, the Stewart ranch, and the orphanage home are all beautiful onscreen.
DeleteThere definitely is a feel of WCTH, especially when Rosemary and Lee visit (which I personally loved), but "When Hope Calls" definitely has it's own unique feeling, too, and plenty of heartwarming and wonderful stories to tell. I'm looking forward to re-watching episodes 1&2 tonight with all of you! If you're able to watch, I would love to know, afterwards, what you think of it?
Will Hallmark be showing all future episodes of When Hope Calls at some point? I wasn't sure if "one time showing" meant these first 2 episodes will only air once or if it meant there will be a showing of these first 2 episodes only, but not of any future episodes.
ReplyDeleteHello Lisa, For now... the Hallmark Channel is just playing episodes 1 and 2 of 'When Hope Calls' tonight. That's it. Hallmark has not announced, yet, if they will ever play future episodes on the Hallmark Channel. I sure hope they do, but at this point, we just don't know.
DeleteI do hope you are able to watch tonight; "When Hope Calls" is such a sweet family series.
When Hope Calls doesn’t mention about Faith Carter’s Family in Brookfield
ReplyDeleteYou were right, Net. We love WCTH and now we really like WHC too. Not sure why they would play a family show so late though. My young girls couldn't stay up until 11 to watch, but they've already asked if they can watch it this afternoon. After this, it looks like I'll be getting HMnow this week. Any advice there?
ReplyDeleteHello Anna! I'm so glad to hear how much you and your family enjoyed "When Hope Calls." My advice would be - if you sign up for the free trial for the last seven days of this month, then you would only have to pay for October to finish the series. And then, of course, you and your girls could watch any time you like!
DeleteHappy watching! Enjoy! :)
I just finished both eps from last night. it is good, but I can't afford to buy the Hallmark streaming package every month. I already pay extra for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and now this?
ReplyDeleteI've heard many others say the same thing. I, too, wish they could just play the series on TV. I know it is quite frustrating for those who would like to watch, but simply can't. Thank you for sharing.
DeleteLillian Walsh & Constable Gabriel Kinslow
ReplyDeleteGrace Bennett & Chuck Stewart
Maggie Parsons & Joe Moody
Mystery 101: Dead Talk
ReplyDeleteThe Hallmark movie’s cast also includes Robin Thomas (Graham Winslow), Preston Vanderslice (Bud), Sarah Dugdale (Claire), Amanda Wong (Holly), Tegan Moss (Rachel Knox), Garrett Black (Billy Poole), Mark Krysko (Mitchell McHale), Donna Benedicto (Larissa McHale), Benjamin Wilkinson (Ray Sweeney), Catherine Lough Haggquist (Vicky Lin), Lochlyn Munro (Detective Denny Roma), Isaiah Lehtinen (Owen) and Edwin Perez (Guillermo)
A special guest Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) from Hope Valley will be paying a visit to Brookfield as the town attempts to hunt down a fugitive train robber.
ReplyDeleteA mysterious prospector named Sam arrived in town. Lillian (Morgan Kohan) decides to trust the stranger, despite the warnings of Gabriel (Ryan-James Hatanaka).
A train robber is spotted near Brookfield. When Lillian when she learns that the train robber’s description is similar to Sam’s, she starts to wonder if her previous sympathy for the man was misplaced.
Lillian and her sister Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) are doing everything they can to keep their orphans safe as the town rallies to find the criminal. Chuck (Greg Hovanessian) is sticking close to the orphanage to protect everyone, which also gives him a chance to spend more time with Grace.
Mountie Gabriel is focused on finding the fugitive, and he gets some help from a familiar face. Constable Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) arrives from Hope Valley to assists with the investigation. In a preview for the episode, we see him quizzing Lillian on Sam’s appearance and whereabouts. That suggests he definitely thinks the strange prospector could be the man they’re after.
Mounties search for the robber.
Kevin McGarry will appear in two more episodes before the show wraps up on October 25.
residents of Hope Valley occasionally visit Brookfield. In the show’s second episode, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith) showed up with lumber to help the town rebuild after a devastating fire. Lillian & Grace were actually introduced in last year’s When Calls the Heart Christmas special.
I'm watching When Hope Calls: Episode 6 online rather then HMN
ReplyDeleteKevin McGarry as Mountie Constable Nathan Grant
He has 2 more episodes on When Hope Calls
I've been watching "When Hope Calls," too! It is such an excellent family show. I haven't watched the latest released episode, yet, but I'm absolutely looking forward to seeing Kevin McGarry on the series!!! ::)
DeleteThank you for sharing! Glad you enjoy it, too!
