I think they may be playing this on both Hallmark and HMM. They did this with a Bone to Pick way back when it premiered and it worked well for them playing on both channels.
ReplyDeleteSabrina, Yes, according to the "current" schedule it says "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Game of Cat and Mouse" will premiere on both Hallmark networks!
DeleteSince it popped up in the movie list on the Hallmark Channel's web-site, I've been suspecting they might be doing a simulcast viewing of this movie, like they did with "A Bone to Pick: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery," and I'm so thrilled they are doing so!
When that first Aurora movie premiered in 2015, I didn't have Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at the time, so it was a big deal to me that the Hallmark Channel played it. It was soon after that when we upgraded our DirecTV package - just to get HMM, and it has been well worth it ever since!
Also, just saw this exciting mystery news! According to this article: https://www.vicnews.com/news/international-disney-and-hallmark-films-set-to-be-filmed-in-victoria-in-2019/, Shopping for Love is an upcoming Hallmark movie and another mystery series will be filming soon, Martha Vineyard Mysteries, a trilogy of family friendly TV movies!
Deleteoh this is awesome, I saw that Shopping for Love has Alexandra Breckenridge in it, she was in a Lifetime Christmas movie last year she is so beautiful. I was hoping that was Hallmark, and if so, it seems we are getting more new people to Hallmark cause I don't believe Robert Buckley has been in Hallmark. I also saw Antonio Cupo is filming and said it is for Hallmark, not sure if true, but I am so wondering if these are Fall Harvest movies? or maybe early September movies, I wasn't sure if Fall Harvest would start Sept 7 and then there are 7 Saturdays, I guess I am more like wishful thinking that there will be tons of Fall Harvest movies. Of Course these titles don't scream Fall Harvest so I guess I will see.
DeleteThe new title for "Shopping for Love" is "Love in Store," which I'm sure you saw on Hallmark's web-site! Looks like the Saturday movies are back in full force, even between seasons!
DeleteI'm looking forward to these! So many great movies coming up! Thanks for taking the time to keep us informed! You are the best!
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet! I'm so glad you enjoy all these movie updates! It's so fun to see all these awesome movies to come and share them with you! :)
DeleteIs that true Aurora Teagarden Mystery: A Game of Cat & Mouse on both channels: Hallmark Channel & HMM?
ReplyDeleteYes, the first airing of "Aurora Teagarden Mystery: A Game of Cat & Mouse" on August 4, 2019 will premiere on both the Hallmark Channel and HMM! It's a special treat from Hallmark! :)
DeleteI do not like the new "atmosphere" and "look" of the new Aurora Teagarden mystery "A Game of Cat and Mouse". Do not like the really fake looking wigs, the scenery, the harsh make up, etc. Do enjoy the plot.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree... sometimes the red wig Candace wears looked pretty real, and in other scenes it was obviously not placed on well.
DeleteAlso, it is different to see new locations for some of the places, but the Real Murders Club still met at the same familiar building. I was glad to see that, but I understand what you mean.
Anyone else think the kiss at the end was rushed? Or maybe it's just me not feeling the whole Aurora & Nick connection.
ReplyDeleteKaren... To be honest, I had the same reaction to the kiss. I thought it seemed almost awkward and out of place in the scene. In my opinion, there was nothing really romantic about it. I actually think it would have been more meaningful if he had just reached for her hand, they looked each other in the eyes, and ended up in an embrace. Then, the movie could have ended with the date, with the prospect of them kissing in the next movie.
DeleteMaybe I'll feel differently when I watch it again, but that was my original take.
Hate the wig!! Looks so bad on her. Candace's hair was so very pretty in " Bone to Pick" now it's so hideous. Come on. My gosh, if they have to wear a wig dont they have a budget for something better? And no explanation for no word from Martin ever again??? So he disappears looking for his friend and family??? Poor plot line...from one writer to another...
ReplyDeleteI wasn't crazy about the Aurora wig, either, in the beginning, but I think I'm getting used to it. Candace said they spent a lot of money on it, so it must be a nice one.
DeleteAs for Martin...
At the end of the Aurora movie "Last Scene Alive," Martin leaves to go on a mission in South America to search for his missing friend and his family, who are in trouble.
Then, in the Aurora movie "Reap What You Sew," at the very beginning - Aurora shares with her mother that she misses Martin, and she goes on to say - she can't believe he went back to the CIA, but she knows he wants to serve his country. That's it. That's where their love story ended. Martin has left Aurora by his own choosing, and she has to move on with her life without him. I do think it would've been nice to remind viewers of this in one of the following Aurora films, especially when Aurora first met Nick, Niall Matter's character.
Hope this information helps.
I'm really upset about that fake disgusting wig. It takes from the whole show.
ReplyDeleteDoes hallmark have no money for haor and makeup.
Why was Candace wearing a wig in the first place? Was her hair damaged?
ReplyDeleteI think they were tired of coloring Candace's hair red every time they made a new "Aurora Teagarden" movie, so they invested in the red, strawberry blonde wig.
