    1. Awe, me too! Brennan is always so fun to watch! In fact, I even loved him in the Fall Harvest preview show. I always wonder how much more he adds to the scene, beyond what's in the script! He truly becomes his characters! Definitely a favorite of mine too! :)

  2. Net, thanks for sharing the early news. I love Christmas surprises too! I was looking forward to the announcement tomorrow, so it's nice not to have to wait. I agree with you on your favorite must see movies and will also add Marrying Father Christmas, Northern Lights of Christmas and Once Upon a Christmas Miracle. I'm also curious about Christmas Copy. It sounds like an intriguing title. Actually, I can't wait to see them all! And do we have to wait till October 26? Can't we start watching now? :-) Thanks again and God Bless Us All. Best wishes, John

I'm definitely intrigued by the ones you mentioned, as well. Those two titles... "Northern Lights of Christmas" and "Once Upon a Christmas Miracle" are just beautiful - all on their own!

  3. Thanks so much for sharing this list, Net. For some reason I couldn't fully see the movies on EW's site, but I knew you would have them listed so I came here and I was right. Thank you for all the time you put into this for us.

If I have to pick a favorite must see, I would pick everything you picked, Net, plus Pride, Prjudice, & Mistletoe, Marrying Father Christmas, Mingle All the Way, and so on and on. Like you, I can't choose only one!

    1. Actually, Andrew Walker has filmed a Christmas movie (for another channel), but I'm not at liberty to share until the network sends out a press release. I'm working closely with them, and they've asked me to keep their news confidential until they report on them.

Please stay tuned for further movie news! :)

    1. They most certainly do! And what I love most of all is... it seems each year one of the movies I hadn't anticipated liking, actually becomes one that I love very much!

I also think Jennifer Finnigan and Eric Mabius will be a wonderful match in "Welcome to Christmas."

Glad you hear the bells ringing too! :)

    2. I love the books Welcome to Christmas is based on. Debbie Mason is a great writer and I love all the characters. Madison and Gauge are just the beginning. Madison's friends Vivi and Skylar have their own books and who they fall in love with. I just love the Christmas Colorado series.

  13. It feels like Christmas is really getting close now! I just received the first Christmas catalog of the year, the local Walmart has started to put out Christmas trees and ornaments for sale, it feels like Fall outside...and now we get the Hallmark Christmas line-up! 1. Oh, yes!!! We're just getting started!!!

It's so fun to get little hints of Christmas, here and there! I love when the dwindling garden center at my local Walmart magically turns into twinkling lights, shiny bows, and of course, the beautiful trees you can see, even from a distance, when you walk in the door! I will definitely have to check and see if the elves have been at work, at my local store! haha!

Thank you, Mark, for sharing the joy!!!

  15. I am sad some are missing from the movies this year, such as Rachel Boston, Autumn Reeser, Taylor Cole, Emilie Ullerup, I am hoping some of these TBA movies will have them in it. Or they will turn up on another channel. I can't wait to hear Lifetime,UP, and Ion movies for this year. I have my list of what has filmed and I have some I think are Lifetime so will be good to see if I am on the right track :)

  16. I am THRILLED to finally see women of color as the female leads in Hallmark movies--particularly Christmas movies. This has been SUCH a much-needed change for this network! Tia Mowry, Tatyana Ali, and Christina Milian.....yes! I have been waiting for YEARS for Hallmark to realize this world is made up of a variety of people, and for them to actually show that variety on screen---not as supporting characters, but as leads! This is just amazing! I'm so excited, and happy that new female faces are getting added to the Hallmark family!

  17. I'm confused. Jingle Around the Clock wasn't mentioned, but it's on the Hallmarkchannelpress.com web site. I could have sworn that Danica tweeted 'Christmas Jingle' when she was first hinting at her movie. But, that must have changed. Any idea what Jingle Around the Clock is with the movies mentioned?

    Misty

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It appears that may be an alternate title for "Christmas Copy." Not sure which one they are going with, yet. We shall see...

"Jingle Around the Clock" does sound like such a fun movie title! Hope they go with that.

And for now, it seems Danica and Brennan's Christmas movie is keeping the title "Christmas at Grand Valley."

Also, it looks like "Focus on Love" may be being changed to "A Midnight Kiss," which sounds like it might be New Years Eve movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if some other titles get changed around a bit, as we get closer to the season!

      Blessings, Net

  18. I really love and appreciate Hallmark's branching out and putting more diversity in the female lead roles in their Christmas movies this year. It'll be nice to see different backgrounds/ethnicities/cultures shown having a family, overcoming a staple Hallmark Christmas movie adversity, and having a happily ever after. This is a change I've been hoping and waiting for, so I'm excited to see it come to life. Looking forward to the rapidly approaching holiday season!

  19. Once Upon a Christmas Miracle is based on True Story

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, and it sounds like such a heartwarming story.

Here's the plot description from EW:
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: “Told she would have less than a few months to live without a liver transplant, Heather Krueger’s time was running out when a kind stranger, Chris Dempsey, heard of her plight and discovered he was a perfect match. The two met and before long a friendship developed into romance. The movie follows Heather and Chris’ journey over three Christmases as his selfless gesture leads to a Christmas miracle for everyone involved. Based on a true story.”

I look forward to hearing more on this one.

    1. Great question, Steve. I haven't heard any news on-line or in social media, yet. I don't have the station, myself, so I don't know if there might be some promotional ads on there.

I wouldn't be surprised, at all, if they did play some holiday movies on there this year. Mainly, at this point, I would anticipate some Christmas movies from the past, but in years to come - they are talking about producing their own.

      To be continued...

  21. I've been mostly out of touch with Hallmark news and movies this year due to it being a crazy year for me and my immediate family (two weddings and several moves, two of the moves being mine). Imagine my delight to tune back in here and find out Christmas movies are only a month away!! And what a great lineup it's looking to be!

I, of course, am looking forward to them all, but at this point my "absolutely can't miss" list includes "Christmas at Graceland" (I'm pretty much guaranteed to love any Hallmark movie with Wes Brown in it), "A Godwink Christmas," "Welcome to Christmas" (it'll be so fun to see Eric Mabius in a Christmas movie!), and the sequels, "Marrying Father Christmas" and "Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa."

Thank you, as always, for all you do to keep us informed, Net! Thanks to you, I can get all caught up on everything I missed in "Hallmark land" this year.

Thank you for your sweet comment, Amy! Again, it's so absolutely wonderful to hear from you! :)

    1. Hi Jill! Oh my goodness... I saw this awesome news too! I am so excited for this little reunion! I always loved "The Wonder Years." It's so fun that "Mr. Arnold" and "Winnie Cooper" will be together again!

I would absolutely love to see Fred Savage ("Kevin Arnold") do a Hallmark movie one day, as well! Perhaps, Danica could talk him into it!

      Delete
    2. I would love to see Fred and Danica in a Hallmark movie together, and I would even love to see Fred and Candace Cameron Bure in a Hallmark movie together too.

      Delete
    3. Love that idea, Jill! Have you ever seen Candace & Fred's movie "No One Would Tell"? It's kind of intense and creepy, so it would be fun to see them do a lighthearted Hallmark movie.
