via Hallmark Press Release:
STUDIO CITY, CA – March 2, 2017 -- Sunday night usually means plotting the workweek and planning meals. True, all of that needs doing, but what better way to end the weekend properly than with a delicious mystery?
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, TV’s number one destination for smart mysteries and whodunits, offers four consecutive weeks of new movies starting March 19. You can even make the argument that by solving the mystery, you’re getting your brain ready to tackle the week.
And let’s face it, solving mysteries are way more fun than making lists for work. So give yourself a decent break Sunday nights and settle in with these whodunits. Fans can also puzzle out which of the highly-rated network’s mystery movie franchises may soon be tapped to become its own limited series this August on cable’s fastest growing channel.
The Sunday 9 p.m. (ET/PT) lineup features fan favorites: “Aurora Teagarden: Dead Over Heels” (March 19), “Murder She Baked: Just Desserts” (March 26), “Concrete Evidence: A Fixer Upper Mystery” (April 2) and “Hailey Dean Mysteries: Deadly Estate” (April 9).
These sleuths come from all backgrounds: a librarian, a baker, a renovator and a therapist. None sought out a new career as a detective. Are they to blame if murders keep happening around them? And what sort of woman would turn her back on these crimes and not help her community?
Each movie represents how women juggle so much – families and careers, friends and romance – and piece together pretty dicey happenings. While giving to others and working so hard, each of our heroines tries hard to keep her love life going. And, they’re doing well! In one, they move close to engagement, in another, the two leads are finally dating. One film reveals how an attraction is becoming undeniable and in the fourth, a love interest’s near-death experience proves how important he is.
This isn’t a “stars they’re just like us” routine. These women are us. They are every multi-tasking woman, determined to do it all, and well. And in case life was not complicated enough, they all take on that extra challenge of solving murders.
Hope your getting your sleuthing skills ready for these four new mysteries!
Which one looks *the most* enticing to you?
CANNOT wait to see the new Aurora mystery. Those are always so fun, and I really like that Yannick is returning as the love interest. Didn't love the rotating would-be boyfriend format prior to this, plus it helps that the actor plays one of my favorite TV characters (Murdoch).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! :)
I adore the Aurora movies, too, Rissi! They are so fun to watch! I think this series was absolutely meant for Candace Cameron Bure and Yannick Bisson has been a wonderful addition for this popular Hallmark mystery! Brilliant casting! I'm sure it has also brought in many "Murdoch" fans, too!
DeleteThank you for commenting - great to hear from you!!! :)
I love Yannick as her boyfriend too! He really has perked up the series and he is so charming. Love him as Murdoch too!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't 100% sure in the beginning, but now I really like Yannick as Martin with Aurora! Also, love him as Murdoch! So glad to hear, kayejayeb - you do, too!!! :)
DeleteI agree. ONE BOYFRIEND
ReplyDeleteI love these movies.
ReplyDeleteGlad they are doing more. In fact a couple of them would make great tv series
I love them, too, Stephanie... and trying my best to figure out who-dun-it! Sometimes I'm right on and sometimes I'm completely surprised! Either way, it's always fun to watch! Glad you love them, too!!!

I enjoy these movies but starting to notice a pattern. Anyone notice how many bodies Aurora Teagarden finds around town in empty homes, hidden rooms & property concrete. I enjoy them all the mystery series but at least other series have a way to explain. Bakery series the character is very inquistive. Antique dealer stumbles upon mysteries with in her work and some are willing to kill to keep it quiet. Gourmet Detective actually works with police as a expert in the culinary world but Aurora (a librarian) keeps having these bodies almost thrown to her (yes, the most recent one the body is dropped from airplane in front of her). I am thinking she is in cahoots with her mother (who is a realtor) to buy property cheap and make a profit! :-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting observation, tvh! Love how you uniquely tied in Aurora's home to the crime scene and her mother- so funny!!!
DeleteI have often wondered... how many times can one person (in these movies) discover so many people - murdered? I wish some of the movies could simply just be a mystery, not involving anyone's murder. That's why SSD is unique, since their mysteries are uplifting. Series like Garage Sale or Aurora could involve other types of mysteries, such as theft. Unfortunately, Murder She Baked is pretty limited to only murder mysteries.
Thank you for sharing, tvh!!! Net
I agree about SSD. Not all mysteries have to involve a murder.
DeleteThank you for this wonderful blog!!!
ReplyDeleteWish I had come across it, sooner.
I love movies/mysteries on both Hallmark Ch.(s).
