As I shared in a previous post, PixL is a channel that "guarantees you'll never find bad language or inappropriate content in any PixL programming... just 100% high-quality, family-friendly Hollywood entertainment."
Plus, you are sure to recognize many actors and actresses on PixL from various other TV projects and Hallmark movies!
An upcoming wedding movie for PixL, which filmed in January, is "Sisters of the Groom",
starring Matthew Atkinson (The Young & the Restless, Jane By Design), Jeremy Sumpter (Peter Pan, Friday Night Lights), Malese Jow (The Flash, Big Time Rush), and Savannah Jayde (Big Time Rush), Annie Tedesco (Granite Flats), Aynsley Bubbico (Hart of Dixie)... among others!
Here's some terrific behind-the-scenes pics shared via social media for "Sisters of the Groom"...

I wonder if this movie is one that Hallmark will buy/pick up from PixL to air during June Weddings. We only know of one original movie being made by and for Hallmark for June Weddings so far, correct (the one with Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett)? They need at least 2 more new movies, if they are going to match last year's Wedding event.
ReplyDeleteFor some odd reason, June Weddings wasn't even mentioned in the immediate info that has come out from Hallmark's latest upfront event (yesterday), but the focus of the upfront seemed to be on themed/seasonal movie events and original series.
No Sherry, this movie is exclusively for PixL. They've been making alot of movies exclusively for their channel lately.
DeleteNo word yet on Hallmark's June Weddings movies yet
We already know about one of the June Weddings movies. I know that Hallmark has not released anything else about June Weddings yet, but what is odd is that the details from Hallmark's upfront event in New York yesterday mentioned all of the other seasonal/themed movie events -- including a brand new/never before revealed one that I will leave to Net to announce here, to her readers -- but neglected to mention June Weddings, even though it is the next event up after Spring Fling. It's just odd. Not a big deal, just a curious omission.
DeleteWell we'll just have to wait and see for more June Weddings news but this movie is for PixL
DeleteSherry, Hallmark recently announced on Twitter and Instagram that a new movie was coming in May called “The Promposal”, but I’m not sure if that’s the “brand new/never before revealed” movie that you’re referring to.

PixL looks like an offshoot of the Hallmark channel! I see a lot of familiar movies :-)
ReplyDeleteIts a channel by Larry Levinson productions. They've produced movies for Hallmark in the past but have been producing movies exclusive to PixL (US) and Movies 24 (UK) as well.
DeleteI have DirecTV and had never even heard of this channel. Thanks for sharing, Net! I will request it.

So...what happened to this movie?
ReplyDeleteExcellent question! I suppose those of you (lucky viewers) who have PixL will have to keep a look out for it next year. Perhaps it will arrive next June, since it is a wedding movie! Maybe!
DeleteIf I hear any news - I'll be sure to let you know!
Matt was in the studio doing ADR for Sisters of the Groom this week. So we should get news of it's air date very soon
ReplyDeleteThat's good news! Perhaps- it will air this summer! June would be the perfect time since it's a wedding movie, after all!
DeleteThank you so much for sharing!!! :)
Pixel does not do June wedding themes like Hallmark so it probably won't be in June. They also have a few other wedding movies they haven't released yet that we should be seeing this year.
DeleteYeah, I've noticed that, but since they do have so many wedding themed movies, perhaps one of them will premiere in June!
DeleteThis movie was In-The-Can as of January of last year. MFT movies don't spend a lot of money on post-production. Something is amiss.
ReplyDeletePixL has a long turn around time for some of their movies from when they film to when they appear on TV. They really don't have a set schedule. They put out some of the ones with the more popular actors first and others sit for awhile. If ADR was filmed this year then we can expect a release this year
DeleteThe original air date was scheduled almost a year ago. Most actors in this genre do it for the exposure. If the film sits on the shelf forever, it doesn't do the actors any good.
DeleteThe film never had an original scheduled air date. It was filmed in January of 2016 without a release date being set
ReplyDeleteThere was a date a year and a half ago.
DeleteIs that Johnny Wactor of Siberia in the photo?
ReplyDeleteYes, Johnny Wactor is in the photo above. According to IMDB, he plays the character Tim Quinn in "Sisters of the Groom."
DeleteWonderful movie. What is the song "Love Survives"? Who performs it? Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me the name of the song in this movie when the sisters begin eating chocolate? It sounds something like "Miles Apart" but I can't find the song/artist?
