via Hallmark:
Fireman Zachary Stone (Routh) is a confirmed bachelor who doesn’t believe in love or commitment. When a stray, tabby cat named Ambrose shows up at his door, Zachary takes him in and slowly starts to see that a little companionship might not be so bad after all. Zachary’s commitment to solitude is further challenged when he meets Marilee (Sustad), an animal lover and veterinary student who teaches Zachary how to care for his new feline roommate. Chemistry immediately develops between the two, but Marilee has vowed not to date until she graduates and Zachary is not ready to jeopardize his independence, though he senses Marilee is special.
With Christmas rapidly approaching, Marilee’s sister Jaclyn (Bennett) convinces her to add romance to her nose-to-the-grindstone life of work and school, while fire chief Sam (Harrison) encourages Zachary to understand the importance of love, marriage and having someone special with whom to share the holidays. When Zachary’s model girlfriend Blair (Hobbs) pressures him to get rid of Ambrose and has Marilee fired from her job at a pet supply store that her father owns, Zachary sees the light, realizing he is in love with Marilee and that life is better if shared with someone special.

Can't believe I'm the first to comment on this movie. Agree with the boy in the commercials between, this movie is the purrrr-fect gift! Thank you Hallmark for another great Christmas movie. I think the cats in the movie will be stars as well as the male lead.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree 100%... it is purr-fect! The movie is so cute and you are right - so is the boy in the commercial, Max Charles, from Northpole. Thank you for your comment! :)
DeleteTo anonymous above, I loved this movie, too! So thrilled we don't have to beg for it on DVD. Thank you Hallmark and walmart. I hope you release more like this next year. Jessica
ReplyDeleteYes, it is wonderful to see more movies this year on DVD. I hope this means we will see more next year... including some past movies, yet to be released!
DeleteI agree with what Jessica said. It's nice that this one is on DVD because we really liked it. I just wish it wasn't only at Walmart. I think more people think its more convenient to purchase from Amazon. But I'm not really complaining. I'm still happy they put it on DVD.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Rachel. Many are still wishing they could order it from Amazon... but, as you said, at least they put it on DVD!
DeleteLoved this movie, Hallmark movies are clean family movies, so
ReplyDeleterefreshing .. So happy I can get the DVD. I wish I could get
"Chance At Romance " too.
When will it be available?
I'm so glad, Evelyn, you loved "The Nine Lives of Christmas", too!!! It is wonderful they have it on DVD.
DeleteI haven't heard any news about "Chance at Romance" being released on DVD, yet, but I will certainly keep a look out for it!
Thank you for your comment! :)
I watched this one again this morning. It has to be my new favorite this year! Are these cats the same throughout the movie?
ReplyDeleteGreat casting for this one. Brandon Routh is the perfect looking guy and firefighter. I instantly liked him and it doesn't hurt that he is also easy on the eyes!
ReplyDeleteMy Second favorite Hallmark movie. Brandon is definitely "eye candy" - I could drown in those brown eyes!!! The story is interesting plot. funny, and romantic, which a romance is supposed to be :) To top it off - I LOVE CATS and am so tired of dogs in these movies.
DeleteThis was my favorite this year!
ReplyDeleteSo far this has been the best Christmas movie this year. So good that I ordered it from Walmarts where it took exactly one day to arrive. I must say it was a lot less expensive than anywhere else.
ReplyDeletelove this movie was the best
ReplyDeleteI loved this movie; I just watched it this week. Would love to see a sequel.
ReplyDeleteIt is now Sunday, December 29, 2019. This movie ran before Thanksgiving, and thank GOD for recordings. I've watched it at least 10 times. Brandon and Kimberly and the cats are remarkable. Can't get enough of it !
ReplyDeleteOh... I just love "The Nine Lives of Christmas" too! I think it will forever be one of my top favorite Hallmark Christmas films! Every time it's on, like you... I can't help from watching it again. I love everything about it - from the sweet, slow romance... to the adorable cats! Well, maybe everything, except poor Blair. haha!
DeleteAnyway... Glad you love it too! :)
