I am always disappointed with what Hollywood has to offer for families and always looking for movies that uphold the standards of our family and God's word.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I was not happy with The Jensen Project. The boy was constantly disobedient and deceitful and it was pretty much just blown off.
I understand the reality of his behavior, but would have liked the message to have shown consequences. The part that really upset me was when he was deciding to go with the girl or not and he kept saying,"Pretty girl/obey mom...pretty girl/obey mom. And then she is shown in a sexy way and he decides on pretty girl!
I have a very impressionable almost 13 yr old boy who is just now on that cusp of wanting to be grown up and be like everyone else. I was very upset that his choice was seen as cool :( There was no mention of the reality of what can happen when you choose what's easy :(
