PLOT:

from Hallmark:

Eddie James is an actor stuck in a big Rabbit's suit on a popular children's show. What he really wants is to be a respected actor.

Annie Baker is a widow and mother to 6-year-old, Taylor, a precocious child with a big heart. She's a huge fan of Mulligan the Rabbit and she's slowly losing her eyesight. Annie's running late to the diner where she works. Eddie's on his way to landing a big role in a big budget feature when the two cars collide.

Thankfully, no one's hurt, but the accident will set them both on a new path. Neither is looking for love, but soon, Eddie's heart melts when he sees first-hand how much Taylor loves Mulligan. Eddie sets out to help pay for an experimental surgery for Taylor when he lands a big role. At a fork in the road, which will he choose? Love or the job he's always dreamed of?

Movie Review:

Caution - may include Spoilers...
This Hallmark Channel Original Movie has a great family feel to it. The storyline revolves around this little girl, Taylor, who is in need of an eye surgery procedure to restore/keep her vision. She can see currently, but not well.... which helps to explain her love for a bright and cheerful kids television show with a Bunny Rabbit character named Mulligan.

By the way, the movie was originally titled Mulligan, but was changed to Accidentally in Love. I think that was a good decision. The movie had more meaning beyond that of the Bunny TV Show.

Taylor's Mother, Annie, is young and widowed... doing her best to raise her daughter and hold down her job as a waitress.

Eddie James is an actor wannabe - currently acting under the bunny suit of Mulligan.

Well, one day Annie and Eddie's cars collide in a minor car accident. Let's just say... from then on, sparks fly! At first, Eddie is living only for himself - desiring only the fast track to stardom and fame - but once he gets to know Annie more and Taylor's eye condition, his heart gradually changes...

A few cautions: Eddie's roommate often makes often-handed odd comments... one regarding "chicks" that I didn't like, etc... and he acts very silly & a bit wacky. Scott and Eddie go to a club where there is dancing and drinking. Eddie acts disinterested, though, and eventually leaves and goes to visit Annie at work.

I enjoyed seeing the character of Eddie evolve to caring more about Annie and Taylor, then himself... and it was sweet to see Annie open her heart again to Eddie, although she thinks he has broken it - when she learns he misled them about Taylor getting her eye surgery.

The little girl who plays Taylor is so precious. She didn't seem like she was in any hurry to be grown up. It was wonderful to see a little girl act as a little girl and enjoy something as normal and child-like as a Bunny Rabbit and roller skating.

In the end, Annie and Eddie do end up Accidentally in Love - though there are various obstacles along the way... Taylor's eye surgery will cost way too much for them to afford and she'll have to wait years to get assistance, Annie is not sure she is ready for love since losing her husband, and Taylor and Annie have no idea that Eddie is the guy under the Bunny Mulligan suit.

It's quite an adventure... that ends up to be a very sweet movie - and yes, a Happy Ending!

  5. I love the movie, I want to start off by saying this is one of the cutest Hallmark movies I have seen in a while. I love Jennie Garth's character she was endearing, sweet, charming, and at the same time annoying and frustrating which is why I love her character, it goes with different dimensions along the way.
