Make Special May Moments and Memories --- Details on NEW "When Calls the Heart," "Blue Ridge," and "Into the Wild Frontier" -- SEE HERE:

Happy Weekend, Friends!

This is one of those extremely rare weekends with NO NEW Movie Premieres. I know some of us will miss them, while others may enjoy this brief break. Hallmark will return with a new rom-com next week as the network begins *Countdown to Summer*.

The first Saturday in May is well-known for the iconic Kentucky Derby. This year is a monumental celebration, as it is the 150th run for the roses. Horse racing, I must say, isn't something I generally follow throughout the rest of the year, but the Derby and the state of Kentucky hold a special place in my heart due to family ties there, and hearing the song "My Old Kentucky Home" always brings a tear to my eye. (I sure miss hearing them sing the lyrics, though.)

Speaking of horses, even though there aren't any new movies this weekend, there are new episodes of When Calls the Heart, Blue Ridge, and the season finale of Into the Wild Frontier, and horses will likely be seen in all three.

See all of the details below...

With Anna returning to the show this week after being away at teacher's college, it's a special time for all of the young ladies in Hope Valley. The pictures above nostalgically depict the women of Hope Valley, along with the young women, "the next generation"! It's amazing to see how much these young girls have grown up before our eyes through their years on When Calls the Heart—in the past 11 seasons!

Of all the relationships on When Calls the Heart, the friendships of these ladies are truly among the most beautiful!

Episode 5 - “Stronger Together” :

Storyline: Hickam and Lee clash with the mayor of Benson Hills, and Gowen suggests a solution with huge implications for the town. Elizabeth and Nathan clear up a misunderstanding.

airs Sunday, May 5, 2024
at 9pm/8c. on the Hallmark Channel

🌄 INSP's "Into the Wild Frontier" Season 2 is Coming Soon!

A new season of INSP's "Into the Wild Frontier" is premiering next week! See all the details for this thrilling series straight from America's frontier below...

----------------------------------

INSP Press Release:

Before the American West was settled, a handful of brave men and women took dangerous steps to forge a path to the Pacific. One of America’s most famous Westward Frontiersmen was Kit Carson, whose fascinating story will be told in the season 2 premiere of INSP’s popular expedition and exploration docudrama, Into the Wild Frontier.

During his adventurous life, Carson wore many hats; he was a mountain man, fur trapper, wilderness guide, US government Indian Agent, and US Army officer. At age 9, his father died, so Carson stepped up to work the family farm and help raise his 9 siblings. Five years later, after failed attempts to get along with his stepfather, he made the decision to leave home. But his early independence helped him to develop amazing survival instincts and led him to play a vital role in Westward expansion.

The season premiere of Into the Wild Frontier, entitled “Kit Carson: Fearless Fighter,” debuts on INSP on Wednesday, February 15th at 10PM ET.

Season 2 of Into the Wild Frontier is comprised of eight episodes and will feature these explorers: Kit Carson, William Sublette, Jim Clyman, Joe Meek, Joe Walker, Andrew Henry, Marie Dorion, and Tom Fitzpatrick.

The series is produced for INSP by Warm Springs Productions.

Each of these episodes are exciting stories and adventures of America's history. Please note: Episodes are rated TV-14 due to violence. You can see the successful first season of "Into the Wild Frontier" through Freevee streaming at Amazon, which means the entire first season is FREE to watch, with ads! Stream it on Amazon *here*.

For all of you history buffs, I hope you enjoy this new season.

INSP Sets Premiere Date for New Series "Into the Wild Frontier"

PRESS RELEASE VIA INSP:

INSP Sets Premiere Date for New Series

“Into the Wild Frontier”

The Latest Original Expedition
and Exploration Docudrama will Debut on

Thursday, February 17th at 8PM ET

(Indian Land, SC – January 13, 2022) – General entertainment network INSP announced that it will premiere its latest historical docudrama series Into the Wild Frontier on Thursday, February 17th at 8PM ET. Doug Butts, EVP of Programming for INSP, made the announcement.

“As our ratings demonstrate, INSP viewers love action, adventure and exploration,” explained Butts. “Consequently, we’ve made it a priority to produce compelling original content that both entertains and informs. Into the Wild Frontier is a great example of that type of multi-dimensional programming. The series features riveting stories from some of America’s first pioneers – most of whom braved incredible dangers and extremely harsh conditions while exploring America’s Western frontier. Each episode combines substantial research with carefully crafted storytelling, and the result is an action-packed drama that we are confident our audiences will enjoy.”

With America’s expansion westward, the promise of new lands teeming with game and other riches provided an irresistible pull for frontiersmen like Daniel Boone, Jim Bridger, John Colter and others who were willing to risk it all in the spirit of adventure. As they push deeper into the wilderness, crossing vast mountain ranges, treacherous plains and unforgiving deserts, these fearless explorers faced starvation, deadly weather, ferocious predators and hostile Native Americans. These were true adventurers, whose epic tales of survival on America’s undeveloped frontier emboldened a tide of settlers to head west and become the stuff of myths and legends.

In addition to Boone, Bridger and Colter, the explorers and mountain men featured in season 1 of Into the Wild Frontier include Meriwether Lewis and William Clark (Lewis & Clark), Jedediah Smith, Tom Fitzpatrick, Jim Beckwourth, and Kit Carson.

The first season of Into the Wild Frontier, which will be comprised of eight episodes, will premiere on INSP on Thursday, February 17th at 8PM ET.
The series is produced for INSP by Warm Springs Productions.

My Take:

Although this is a docudrama and not the usual rom-com movie I typically promote, I thought many of you who visit here would be interested in checking out this series, especially those of you who are history buffs. It is fascinating to discover more in depth details on those individuals who developed the foundation of our American society, ordinary citizens who made their mark with their explorations and unique adventures.

In addition to this new series, Into the Wild Frontier, this year on INSP viewers can also look forward to the 2nd season of Wild West Chronicles and the 3rd season of the cowboy competition series, Ultimate Cowboy Showdown, hosted by country music icon Trace Adkins.

INSP recently rolled out a brand new logo (seen above), which features a strong text and a cowboy hat sitting proudly on top, clearly stating INSP is the leader in western entertainment.

Hope many of you will enjoy this new weekly series when it premieres in February.

Happy trails to you! Net
