Meanwhile, on When Calls the Heart, romance is in the air as Nathan begins the search for a very special engagement ring, if he can figure out, with Allie's help, Elizabeth's ring size!

Meanwhile, on Great American Family, the uplifting series Crossroad Springs returns Sunday night and welcomes the arrival of spring, while tensions remain at the ranch, and Pastor James prepares for Easter at the new Cowboy Church.

Plus, GAF rolls out the red carpet all weekend long with a marathon of classic royal-themed movies!

I hope many of you will be able to settle in for a relaxing evening with these inspiring stories and the new cozy movie. Happy watching, everyone!

Please feel free to share your thoughts on these series or the new mystery... or any movie from this year or even last Christmas! I love reading your reviews!

On a serious note, I know this is also a heavy time as we watch the news in Iran. Praying for our military, our leaders, and for peace all around the world.

Blessings on your weekend,

  1. Can't complain because there have been some top class movies this year - A Melbourne Match, The Way To You - but there's really nothing much appeals to me this weekend - Florence

  4. Looks like a good selection to watch! I love forward to seeing a new mystery! This plot looks very good and Allison rocks it with that mermaid hair!!

For the WCTH: I have been dying to this episode all week. Looks like it’ll be a lot of fun with Allie helping her dad with the ring operation. I can’t wait to see her reaction when Nathan tells her! To finally have the Thornton/Grant family be a Grant 4 family…. oooh I get goosebumps!!! ;)

  5. I watched episode 7 of Crossroad Springs last night on Great American Pure Flix, and I just have to say- it was such a beautiful episode. There were so many meaningful moments centered on faith and family. And the ranch setting is absolutely gorgeous!

I’m really enjoying the way they’re building Jesse Hutch’s character. Right now he’s positioned as a rival to the Hamilton family, but I can’t help hoping that his story might take a different turn someday.

It’s also so heartwarming to see the excitement throughout the community about the new Cowboy Church, especially Willis, James’ father. All of the warmth and enthusiasm of the Crossroad Springs community really adds something special to the story. And it’s nice that they are opening the church up to the town for Easter.

There’s also a new character added to the series that Heartland fans will recognize. ~Net

  7. I like Crossroad Springs and all, but not sure airing it opposite of WCTH was such a good idea.

  8. A bit off the topic, but I just wanted to share this quote from an AP article I was reading today by a director of rom-coms and fan of Hallmark movies:
"If an action movie is elevated and checks all the boxes, critics go, 'Hey, yeah, they did it, this was great!' But when a romance does it and checks the boxes and does everything right, they go, 'Oh, we've seen this before'."
    So unfortunately true, right?!

  10. I am a week behind but would not watch Hannah Swensen anyway as I do not watch any new mysteries since they ended Mystery 101 the way they did.

I did watch Romance at Hope Ranch and although there were many plot holes, I did like it a lot. Apparently it got the highest ratings of the year so far, higher than Lacey and any other movie. Some people have been down right out rude about the ratings and the movie.

One girl out on a twitter who really thinks she knows it all, even went as far to say the reason the ratings were so high, is cause Hallmarks linear cable audience are fox news watchers. I mean really?????? Funny cause I am part of a group of fox news watchers, we had a big Tucker Calson group back when he was on and killing it, and many groups out there watching Gutfeld, who is one of the highest rated shows even over late night shows, and NONE of them watch Hallmark. Most have never watched or stopped a long time ago. And if she is right, which not sure why fox news watchers get brought into the highest rated HM movie of the season, but Fox news has way more viewers than CNN and all their shows at night beat all competition. I bet they even beat some network shows. So.

But anyway, some even went as far as to say it was nepotism at its best having Allison's daughter on the movie. People are just rude and some will find anyway to connect things to Trump. Cause of course fox news watchers love trump. I am sure many don't even watch any news and still love Trump. But of course, trump might now be blamed, by one person out there, for Allie Sweeneys movie beating Lacey's or any so far this year.

But I did like the movie, even though I still wonder who is Hope's daughters father, did he die, did Hope every marry him. I LOVED Gabriel Hogan in it. He and Allison have great chemistry though I always loved her with Mike but haven't watched a Murder she baked since Mike left. I feel the point of the movie was that it is hard for some people to ask for help when they have done it all alone, most of their life. And Hope had to learn to ask for help, from some great new neighbors and town that is her new home.

Love Afloat--I liked it too, though I am left wondering what or where St Tequila is?? When she landed by airboat, there were sky scrapers on the background. Was it just off Miami's coast? Was it one of the Florida keys? I know it's not but anyway. I liked the girl and the guy leads but did laugh at a few things such as her driving the boat and saying "I have never driven the boat in open seas" as you can see land right behind them and close. I am guessing St Tequila or whatever must just be across Biscayne Bay off Miami, and having been in a boat there as a kid when we moved to the keys on our boat, I would hardly call it the open seas.

Won't be watching Hannah swensen or Nelly so I will be back for the Spring movies. Looking forward to Jen Lilley and not sure if I will watch Janel Parish movie. I am hoping we get more movies on GAF, even if acquired. As many of those have been pretty good.

    1. To be fair, it was St Aquilla, not Tequila - although with the way alcohol has to be a part of EVERYthing nowadays, it wouldn’t have surprised me 🤷‍♀️

    1. Hi Net! Oh my gosh! I did not proofread my post before I hit publish. Good grief! I mean to say "I am over the moon to experience a show that is so unabashedly pro-faith and pro-family that it warms my heart so very much". That, of course, makes more sense. :-)
