  3. Happy New Year friends! We are taking down the Christmas tree and decor tomorrow 😒 so sad, and this is such a strange time between Christmas and the new year, feels like Groundhog Day & just a blur. But excited to get my house tidied up and my Valentine’s Day decor out. So I started a 7 day free trial of Hallmark + last night because I wanted to watch the Mistletoe Murders and I watched the first movie (episode 1 &2 as it breaks it up into 2 episodes I don’t know why) and it was surprisingly good! I personally don’t care for Sarah Drew, never cared for any of the movies she did, but this one surprised me! I think she was good in the sleuthing role and I’m excited to watch the other 2 mistletoe Murder movies. The only thing I don’t care for is how she narrates in the movie. I’m okay with that in the beginning to set the stage but she does it throughout the entire movie and it is kind of distracting to my own thoughts when I watch a mystery movie. I want to dissect it in my own mind and her narration is distracting. I will also be watching 2 new Aurora Teagarden movies i found on there that never premiered on Hallmark, from earlier this year I think. They are with the new Aurora, so from her younger college days. There is also a show from last year called “The Spencer Sisters” that looks like a mystery, has 10 episodes. I don’t recall the younger actress but the older one is from Back to the Future movies. So I’ll watch as much as I can within this 7 day trial period. And then there are 3 new Jane Mysteries that didn’t premiere on Hallmark but I don’t care for Jodi. I watched the first one that premiered on Hallmark and it was a good plot but I just didn’t think she was that great of an actress and didn’t think she had any chemistry with the detective. He seemed annoyed with her all of the time. I’ll report back on how these mysteries are.

  4. Forgot to mention, hope everyone has a safe New Years! We will not be traveling anywhere even in town as there are so many crazy drivers. Even in our little town they set up check points due to all the drunk driving so we will most likely just order pizza and have snacks and let the kids stay up late to see the countdown. Stay safe and enjoy with some good movies and snacks!

  7. Hi Net,

Happy New Year to you! I pray 2025 is a blessed one for you and your family. For me, 2024 was both wonderful and sad. My family experienced some exceptional highs but also some unexpected lows. The older I get, the more important it is to be hopeful, ever present and a positive person. I look forward to all of the goodness and blessings I know God will bring to all of us in the coming year.

I also wanted to extend Happy New Year wishes to everyone on this site who come here. May God's grace be with you throughout the coming year.

  10. Happy New Year!

Does anyone know the name and singer of this song? I only can make out the first few lines. It usually is in the background or it fades out. A man sings it. "Happy to be around, happy to say I'm here. It's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas... " "It's Christmas" repeats over and over.

It's in a few different movies, but it's at the beginning of from the movie Wrapped Up in Love from a couple of years ago. Nothing comes up in my searches.

    Thanks, Grace

Cindy Busby also praised everyone involved in the upcoming project, saying, “We just wrapped the day before Thanksgiving, so yeah, we're wrapped on season 2, and the premiere will be in 2025. And I've gotta say, it was such a dream getting to shoot that show and to be part of a period piece

  15. Hey everyone, just wanted to report back on the Mistletoe Murders from Hallmark +.
They were great! The narrating was distracting at first but I got used to it, but I would rather do without if I had a choice. The mysteries were very interesting and I liked the characters of the detective and his daughter, I just wish she had a friend in the show to be her partner in crime. The final and 3rd movie left on a major cliffhanger so hopefully they continue in 2025. I couldn’t find any info online. Aside from her year round Christmas store and the charming downtown area, the movies didn’t have that cozy vibe a la Murder She Baked that I love. Her own background being intertwined (similar to Jeff in Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries) made it slightly creepy for me. But if they made more I would definitely watch them, just not alone at night Lol
