The Soldier movies are always my favorite. One I haven't seen since it aired was Danica's Love & Sunshine. I'm pretty sure that was what it was called.

I just set my DVR for several of these. I had no idea there were so many. Have a happy 4th! Christie
ReplyDeleteCool fireworks in the top image, Net. On this busy day, this was visually nice to look at and a quick, easy read. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI’ve never seen or heard of After the Glory.
ReplyDeleteAfter the Glory is a good movie about returning soldiers from WWII. They go to war boys and return as men that believe in freedom. It shows the strengths of the Greatest Generation. A great film for adults.

ReplyDeleteWhen we think of July Fourth, we think barbeques, fireworks, spending time with friends and family – but it’s also a time to celebrate all the freedoms we are given in the United States. So, with Independence Day almost upon us, we thought we’d reflect on Bible verses all to do with freedom.
ReplyDeleteWe hope these words from the Bible will help with your spiritual celebrations on the July 4th holiday.
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
– 1 Peter 2:16 [ESV]
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
– Galatians 5:1 [NKJV]
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
– Psalm 33:12 [KJV]
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
– John 8:32 [NIV]
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
– John 8:36 [NIV]
Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.
– Psalm 118:5 [ESV]
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
– Galatians 5:13 [NLT]
We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin.
– Romans 6:6-7 [ESV]
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
– 2 Corinthians 3:17 [NIV]
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
