Come on, ring those bells!
Great American Family officially announces the second Christmas movie premiere for the 2024 holiday season starring Candace Cameron Bure, who is well-known as the queen of Christmas movies!
Joining Candace in this all-new holiday premiere is fan-favorite Cameron Mathison, who is no stranger to the Christmas movie genre, having made a number of them through the years, much like Candace, for the Hallmark Channel and now Great American Family.
In the press release below from Great American Media, you'll find full details on the storyline for their new Christmas film together.
Press Release:
NEW YORK, NY – July 9, 2024 – Great American Family, an industry leader in the production of quality original holiday content, announced beloved talent, Candace Cameron Bure (A Christmas Less Traveled, “The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries”) and Cameron Mathison (A Kindhearted Christmas, “General Hospital”) star in a new Original holiday film, Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells, set to premiere this November as part of Great American Christmas 2024. Great American Christmas is in its fourth season and the franchise has quickly become one of America’s most popular programming events.
In Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells, Gracie (Bure) is Peachtree Inn’s perfect wedding planner whose mantra “No problems, only solutions waiting to be discovered” makes blushing brides’ dreams come true. When Charlie (Mathison) brings his sister and future brother-in-law to their former hometown of Butler, South Carolina, expecting to create a magical Christmas Eve wedding at the Inn for Lindsay and Josh, the trio is stunned when Gracie stubbornly declines the job, saying it is not possible to pull off the perfect wedding two weeks before Christmas. Eventually, Gracie relents and agrees to plan the wedding, only to discover there are more hurdles to overcome than expected.
Executive Producers of Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells are Candace Cameron Bure, Holly A. Hines, Eric Jarboe, Jeffery Brooks, Ford Englerth, Gerald Webb, Paula Elle, and Trevor McWhinney. Produced by Mick MacKay. Supervising producers Michael Shepard, Jonathan Shore, and Robyn Wiener. Associate Producers are David Oland and Trudi Thorwaldson. My Quick Take:
I am thrilled, as I've shared with you all before, that Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison will be paired in this upcoming Christmas movie together. Since they both exude such a joyful Christmas sprit, I have a feeling, already, that it's going to be extra special and fun!
Based on the story synopsis provided in the press release, the storyline somewhat reminds me of the movie Marry Me at Christmas, starring Rachel Skarsten and Trevor Donovan. Both plotlines revolve around planning a wedding in a short amount of time at Christmastime, and once again, it's the brother who spearheads his sister's wedding planning.
This is one of the movies I'm most looking forward to seeing this Christmas season! In fact, I can already hear those jingle bells and wedding bells!
This sounds so lovely! -Maria
ReplyDeleteWith stars like Candance Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison what is not to like. They both bring a special goodness to the story.
ReplyDeleteI am counting down the days!

P.S. Will we be getting the info from GAF on new Christmas movies at this pace?
The Viewers were waiting Candace Cameron Bure & Cameron Mathison to paired up in the movie(s) a long time ago so, finally, they come to do movie together this year
ReplyDeletesounds like a fun movie.
ReplyDeleteagreed that it reminded me of Susan's book-to-film.
What Candace Cameron Bure Christmas movies where she was in a huge snowstorm
ReplyDeleteChris, Are you referring to "A Christmas Detour"? That's one of my favorites of Candace's Christmas movies!
DeleteOr possibly "Journey Back to Christmas"? Either one is an all-time great!
DeleteA Christmas Detour is one of my all time favourite Christmas movies - it's a riot from start to finish but along with Let It Snow and Christmas Under Wraps they're the only three of her movies I like - and I've seen them all - Florence
DeleteLooks like Brian Bird (still don't like saying that name!!) is involved with a GAF Christmas movie this year. He tweeted out tonight about a movie coming from True Brand Entertainment and 3rd Coast Film. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Yes, Brian Bird ("When Calls the Heart" producer) is also involved with the new movie project, "A Little Women’s Christmas."
DeleteTrue Brand Entertainment makes wonderful films, so it's nice to see this company collaborating with Great American Family.
Hey Maria, I don't know if this was intentional or not, but I had to laugh when you said how Brian Bird tweeted! :)
DeleteChristmas Movie Title Update:
ReplyDeleteGreat American Family is showing today at the bottom of the TV screen that Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison's Christmas movie is now titled: "The Sweetest Christmas."
That title is fine, but personally, I like the original title much better - "Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells." That one is cute and clever and gives me an idea to what the movie is about.
The title "The Sweetest Christmas" is nice, but it's not very unique. Nearly any Christmas movie could have this title.
And, speaking of that, the Hallmark Channel has already used this movie title! Lacey Chabert's 2017 Hallmark movie is "The Sweetest Christmas,. In that movie, Lacey's character enters into a gingerbread competition.
So... just wanted to let you all know. What do you think?
Candace and Cameron will be filming this Christmas movie in the last two weeks or so of August and early September.
Here's a screen grab of the movie title:
