COMPANY TO EXPAND UNSCRIPTED FOOTPRINT IN 2024
Lacey Chabert Set to Executive Produce and Host New Aspirational Series
STUDIO CITY, CA – November 27, 2023 – Hallmark Media is bringing its brand of feel-good programming to the unscripted genre with its new aspirational series “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert,” executive produced and hosted by perennial fan-favorite Lacey Chabert (Haul Out the Holly, Mean Girls). Chabert has become a network staple, starring in 38 Hallmark movies. This 10-episode series will debut late next year on Hallmark Media’s subscription streaming service.
What’s more, Hallmark Media plans to further expand its footprint in the unscripted programming space in the new year. Signaling the company’s commitment to creating more kinds of quality content like the movies and series that Hallmark viewers have enjoyed for nearly two decades, this project is one example of many new, original programs being developed for the company. Working in partnership with consultant and master unscripted storyteller David Stefanou, the company plans to announce more projects in 2024.
“We’re proud to announce our foray into the unscripted programming space,” said Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming Hallmark Media. “The Hallmark brand lends itself to a wide array of opportunities to tell stories that bring inspiration, comfort, joy, and happiness to our viewers, so tapping into this genre allows us to evolve and expand our programming footprint in incredibly rewarding ways.”
“Celebrations with Lacey Chabert” will follow the beloved Hallmark Channel star, designer and philanthropist as she surprises deserving kids, families, and adults who are making a positive impact in their communities by throwing them the celebration of a lifetime.
“Lacey Chabert shares the same passion for celebrating everyday heroes as we do at Hallmark,” said Hamilton Daly. “Lacey’s natural warmth and genuine nature make her a perfect fit for this series that is sure to leave our Hallmark audience feeling uplifted as they experience these heartwarming stories and spectacular events. This show provides the perfect opportunity to expand our work with Lacey in meaningful and innovative new ways.”
“As a lifelong DIY enthusiast, I fell in love with party planning while coming up with creative ways to bring my daughter’s birthday parties to life,” said Chabert. “I am so excited to lend my love of crafts to create joyous moments for deserving people. This is going to be an epic party as we celebrate real-life heroes, complete with the ups and downs that only unscripted television can capture.”
This aspirational and visually appealing series combines heart, the spirit of generosity, and dazzling events as Chabert and her team plan an epic surprise party to give back to kids, families, and special adults who are making an extraordinary impact. With the help of professional party planners, loving family members, and a team of volunteers, Chabert will have just three days to plan and execute a mind-blowing, one-of-a-kind event that will create lasting memories for each worthy guest of honor and their families. While the parties will be unforgettable, the series goes beyond the surface to give back to these remarkable party recipients in a meaningful way.
“Celebrations with Lacey Chabert” is produced by UNConventional Entertainment, a part of Sony Pictures Television (SPT). Executive producers of the series include UNConventional’s Gena McCarthy, Sony Pictures Television’s Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman, along with Jill Garelick-Aron, Ashley Franklin, and Lacey Chabert.
Chabert is repped by Innovative Artists and Thruline Entertainment.

Lacey Chabert Movies on DVD:
This feels like a bad idea. The last time Hallmark tried a 'reality type' of show, it didn't even make it past the 1st Season. Why do they think this'll work? And really, Lacey is already overexposed enough as it is, do we really need to see more of her then we already do throughout the year? -Maria
ReplyDeleteI guess they have to do something since they have let movies go down hill so much and better actreeses and actors have gone to Great American Family.
Deletehow exciting!
ReplyDeleteLooks similar to Jen Lilly’s charities.

Yeah, maybe GAF should televise parts of Christmas is not Canceled.
Deleteπππ I can’t stop laughing every time I read this. I can not understand why Hallmark thinks that this is. Good idea. The whole thing sound so stupid. This is going to be a ratings failure.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be debuting on Hallmark's streaming service, Hallmark Movies as it states in the article.
DeleteSo this is very interesting. Don't get me wrong, I love Lacey Chabert but here is my take. I subscribed to HMN (I even got a subscription for my niece but she hardly ever watched) for a couple years mainly because there are a handful of movies that they don't show and have not come out on DVD (Flower Girl; I Do, I Do, I Do; Love Blossoms). Unfortunately, they really played more of the current movies and dropped the ones I really wanted to watch whenever I wanted to, afterall I have all the Hallmark stations on my cable. I finally canceled the memberships.
ReplyDeleteLet's face it, Hallmark, because of their woke influence, has been floundering with viewership. Thank goodness for Great American Family - a true family friendly station where we don't have to see the woke! And GAF early on began this type of programming that HM is now bringing forth now. So do they really figure we will flock back to their woke filled movies and membership station when they start this type of programming???? I say that since it is working on GAF they figure they can do the same thing! But here's the problem, I am still going to see every movie with interracial mixes in family to the point that it is stupid! Don't get upset anyone, I just celebrated yesterday my 47th Anniversary with my husband - I am white, he is black! It actually offends me that HM (especially) just has to have every movie representing "diversity." All I want to see is a good movie with a good plot and great actors....it really doesn't matter their ethnicity, although for me I just don't need to see the "token" LGBTQ representation in pretty much every movie.
Janet, Thank you for sharing with us! I was also a subscriber for a short while to HMN, but then the show I paid to see - soon became available on the Hallmark Channel. Had I known, I would've save my money and waited a little longer. Ugh!
DeleteAnyway, I also appreciate your perspective on the interracial relationships; sometimes it works nicely and other times it feels like they are just checking a certain box to fulfill their woke quota.
So wonderful to hear from you again! I hope you and your husband had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving holiday and Happy 47th Anniversary, too! That is wonderful!!! :)
Blessings & Merry Christmas, my friend! Netπ
I think this sounds really nice, but why do they have to put it on Hallmark Movies Now? I don’t think most people will pay extra to see it unless they are in the show.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to her. Won't be watching though. I didn't even think the latest movie she did was the best.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Congrats Lacey!!! π❤
ReplyDeleteI love her movies. They're always in my top favorites!! Best Hallmark trilogy... All of My Heart. I know it's very unlikely, but would love to see more! My mom and I always put it in when we feel like watching something cheerful.
