Happy Fall Weekend, Everyone! I'm truly getting into the Autumn spirit now. The leaves are turning a soft rustic color, pumpkins seem to be on front porches and in store-front windows everywhere, and we have a bit more chill in the air. Plus, both Great American Family and the Hallmark Channel are premiering fall-themed movies this weekend. See details on these new movies + the new UPtv movie premiere below...

Also, I wanted to be sure to mention... there's a "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" Marathon on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Saturday from 1pm - 11pm! And the 9th episode of "Chesapeake Shores" airs Sunday night on the Hallmark Channel. Only one more episode to go after this one. Should be interesting to see how the series ends.

Praying Pumpkin Everything is family friendly. Love both Taylor Cole and Corey Sevier.
ReplyDeleteIt’s family friendly!!! It’s based on the book by Beth Labonte
DeletePumpkin Everything: Now a Hallmark Channel Original Movie!
An up-and-coming novelist confronts an old flame from the past after returning to her hometown to look after her stubborn grandfather and his pumpkin-themed store.
After calling off her Autumn Wedding, horror novelist Amy Fox is left with a broken heart, a mega case of writer’s block, and a serious aversion to all things pumpkin spice. When she receives news that her grandfather has broken his wrist driving through a Dunkin Donuts—literally straight through the front windows—five hundred miles away, in her hometown of Autumnboro, New Hampshire, Amy has no choice but to return to check on him. If she doesn’t make sure that he’s back on his feet, Grandpa may be moved into assisted living, and Amy’s beloved childhood home will be put on the market.
Knowing she must return, Amy worries about the only thing worse than pumpkin spice—a reunion with Kit Parker—her childhood best friend, first love, and entire reason for skipping town in the first place. As the two reconnect, a second chance seems possible...if only Kit weren’t holding on to a secret that just might unravel everything.
Now a Hallmark Channel Original Movie starring Taylor Cole and Corey Sevier! Set against the scenic backdrop of the White Mountains, New Hampshire, Pumpkin Everything is a small town, sweet romance, and the perfect way to kick off the fall season! A pumpkin spice latte wouldn’t hurt, either.

DeleteI'm praying along with you kitkat! I love both of those actors!
DeleteI'm making a pumpkin cheesecake layered dessert for a contest at church. If it's clean maybe I can watch it right after. π€ππ»
I do love the fall! God bless!
Thank you Anonymous 1 & 2! Good to know!
DeleteAbigail, that cake sounds yummy! Fall is my favorite time of year, and that cake sounds perfect to celebrate this season. To be honest, cheesecake anything is delicious!
Here's the recipe if you would like to try it! It's very good. I make it every year! But I double the cream cheese layer. And add more spices for taste, because I'm crazy about them!π

Thanks Abigail! I will print this recipe and give it a try.
DeleteHow did you fare in the baking contest?
Aww kitkat! Your welcome. I hope you like it! I love to try her recipes. There's sooo many to chose from! They all look so great for parties too!
DeleteThe contest is the 15th of October. So we'll see! It's actually a "Pie" contest, so I thought I would do it in a circle shape. It's also going to be outdoors, so that should work in my favor considering it's supposed to be a cold dessert. I was afraid it would melt, but our weather just changed here in KY(new to living near the Ohio River, our summer lasted until last week I'll let you know how I do in the contest.
So happy to hear Pumpkin Everything is fam friendly! I'll watch one of the re-runs when the next one is available.
Cider and Sunsets (new title suits it BTW) was very sweet! -Maria
ReplyDeletePumpkin Everything is family friendly. It’s based on the book by Beth Labonte. ReplyDeleteNot sure where I should post this, but for those who haven't watched the 9th episode of Chesapeake Shores yet, there is a brief mention of the actress (who was going to do Bree's play) wishing she could find another female who was single.
ReplyDeleteKaren, Thank you for mentioning this. I heard there was also something with the youngest granddaughter. Was the situation anything of concern?
DeleteIt was odd and felt so out of place. The actress asks Bree if she has any other sisters before you even realize that she's asking because of her attraction to them. She even mentions the other sisters already being taken as if it would be a possibility if they weren't. The storyline with the youngest daughter was an issue of her "friend" Sloan not really being a friend. Based upon what little we saw of the parents it looks like her bullying/behavior is probably related to parents who have set no boundaries.
DeleteYes. Extraordinary disappointed in CS
DeleteMarianne, Thank you for adding this extra info for Chesapeake Shores. I agree - that is strange she mentioned Bree's sisters, when both are straight. Even if they were single, they wouldn't be interested in her. Such an odd thing to say.
DeleteAlso, thanks for the info on Caitlyn and Sloan. I hope that toxic so-called friendship is over for good now.
Mid-Life Crisis is not family friendly. 15 minutes into the movie lesbian couple introduced and already kissed. Turning off as I write!! Do sick of this! I wonder how many of our Christmas movies will be ruined this year!!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce in Carolina, happy to see you back on here. Thanks for the info on Mid-Life Crisis.
DeleteJoyce, Thank you for sharing this. It was disappointing when we learned this movie would include this storyline. I appreciate you reminding everyone and sharing this information.
DeleteI do wonder often about Christmas, too. I have a feeling I won't be watching Hallmark as much this holiday season, which is so sad because it used to be my go-to place for comfort and joy during Christmastime. Now, I almost feel life a stranger visiting there.
I only have about 6 movies that I really hope are safe on the Christmas list. I have 12 marked to watch, but I doubt I’ll be lucky to have them all be safe. When they first started making the changes to non-family friendly movies they made the comment that they wanted everyone to feel welcome, but instead they’ve catered to the new crowd and left the rest of us not feeling welcome. It stinks. Thank goodness GAfamily seems to be sticking with family friendly. π€π»
DeleteI knew this movie wasn’t going to be family friendly and it made me really sad because I love Teri Hatcher.
DeleteVery strong episode of CS! Really gonna miss it when it ends next week. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, I appreciate you sharing with us.
DeletePumpkin Everything was family-friendly, but it dragged for a long time with the grumpy grandfather. It would definitely bore kids as it was not a light-hearted movie. It was not a fun escape movie. Also beware that there are multiple (non-Hallmark) commercials for prescription drugs with men kissing so make sure you use the super-fast forwarding speed for commercials on the DVR. It was quite explicit and impossible to miss.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I can't watch anything on Hallmark anymore unless I record it first so I can skip commercials and promos.
DeleteI found Pumpkin Everything to be sad, and definitely not much celebration of Fall like I expected. Taylor Cole's acting was not as good as I expected either. Suppose I got too excited about this movie.
Wow, thank you for sharing this review for Pumpkin Everything with us. For such a light-hearted, fun movie title, it's surprising to hear how heavy this story is emotionally.
DeleteAlso, I truly appreciate the extra details on the commercials. I try to record and skip through them whenever possible.
For someone getting close to 70 quicker than I wanted to, Everything Pumpkin highlights some things that we have to struggle with. For me I’m glad that these issues are addressed. Not everything needs to be a ROM Com. Especially when they are overdone. Hopeing that upcoming Christmas movies aren’t all fluff but have some substance, especially when addressing what Christmas is all about.
DeleteFaith & Cody order same food; curly fries extra crispy in Christmas Cards
ReplyDeleteMarley & Curt order same food; peanut butter & jelly sandwiches on French Toast & lime juice in Cider & Sunsets
Both Cody & Curt order first & then Marley & Faith order second with the same food order
Lifetime announced their Christmas movie lineup today. Keep in mind, there's a very unclean movie included with 2 men being a couple.
ReplyDeleteYes, I saw their new line-up with 26 New Christmas movies. I shared them here with a note on the one that includes the same sex couple.
DeleteRebecca, Hi! I saw your comment, honey. Could you please email me here: itsawonderfulchristmas {at} yahoo.com

Pumpkin Everything
ReplyDeleteThere’s restaurant next to Pumpkin Everything that associates with pumpkin menus are everything is pumpkin as in pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin scones, etc… They could’ve celebrate there that Amy Fox arrives there for book signing at Pumpkin Everything
They didn’t mention menus next to Pumpkin Everything
