Great American Family has posted a newly revised list of their NEW Great American Christmas movies. There are still 18 NEW Christmas movies premiering this year; however, one movie was added in, while another was removed from the lineup, and some movies have new titles.
Let's start with the NEW Christmas movie...
The new movie is Christmas Lover's Anonymous, which will premiere, as I've recently shared with you all, this Sunday, October 30th at 8pm/7c.
The movie removed the schedule is...
Unfortunately, A Belgian Chocolate Christmas, starring Jaclyn Hales and Zane Stephens, was previously scheduled to premiere on December 11th, but now this movie is no longer listed in the schedule.
New Christmas movie titles:
This new Great American Family movie premiere checklist also revealed three new title changes...
My Best Friend’s Christmas is now Christmas Sweethearts.
A Prince for the Holidays is now Crown Prince of Christmas.
A Brush with Christmas Romance is now Crafting Christmas.

Jingle Bell Princess
A Christmas Miracle for Daisy
Very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to A Belgian Chocolate Christmas - the synopsis looked good and I like Zane Stephens.
I've seen Christmas Lover's Anonymous before and imo it's a bit meh - Florence
Why did GAC/GAFAM remove “A Belgian Chocolate Christmas”, off their list?
ReplyDeleteAlso, A Christmas Wish in Hudson too
Above it says it didn’t meet standards and is cancelled.
DeleteThanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteI like the new titles, especially the change of title to Crafting Christmas. Hopefully people will tune in and watch GAC this holiday season in a major way. Thus, we will see more family-friendly movies in the future.
ReplyDeleteNet- thanks for update.
Gabe’s Mom
I have enjoyed all of the newbmovies so far. I have seen them, or I have them on DVR. I watch one each night, if possible.
DeleteBoy, I wanna watch A Belgian Chocolate Christmas when I was set to record it on GAC/GAFAM & even the viewers wanna watch this Christmas movie too
ReplyDeleteGood morning Net
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that u can find out why they removed A Belgian Chocolate Christmas and if they are planning to air it at a later date. I was really looking forward to seeing it.
Thank you
See GAC's IG account post for 3 days ago. GAC replied to a commenter that the movie did not meets GAC standards.
DeleteThank you for sharing. I'm seeing that same response on Facebook now, too.
DeleteFlorence and others, who asked about "A Belgian Chocolate Christmas," I have learned that Great American Family is still planning on airing this Christmas movie, they've simply changed it's air date. However, the new air date has not been revealed, yet. Stay tuned for further updates! :)
ReplyDeleteUPDATE on "A Belgian Chocolate Christmas" #2 - I am now hearing this movie did not meet GAF's standards and will not air after all.
DeleteThe original comment about it airing at a later date was on Facebook, but has been deleted.
So sorry this information has changed.
It must be bad if they passed A Puppy For Christmas - Florence
DeleteYay...........thanks, Net - Florence
ReplyDeleteGAF shared some great ratings news about how Destined at Christmas did this weekend, it beat We need a Little Christmas in Total Viewers and Households! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, That is THE BEST NEWS!!!! Yay!!! I feel like doing a happy dance! I'm so happy for Great American Family!
DeleteThank you for sharing this!!! :)
Aww, you're welcome! :) -Maria
DeleteHmm........yes, but why are they comparing it with the movie on HMM?
DeleteHow did it do against We Need A little Christmas on the main Hallmark channel?
With the ratings that the movies on HMM are generally getting now I think we could be approaching the point where sadly Hallmark might consider abandoning it - maybe merge the two channels into one?
It's their own fault of course for not giving the viewers the types of movie they want - Florence
Net, maybe this was changed and noted earlier since I am looking at an old list, but it seems that what was Big Box Christmas is now Aisle Be Home for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMark 25, Yes, that is a recent change, as well. It was updated a week or so ago.
DeleteIt's funny. Hallmark hasn't changed their schedule around once which is unusual for them and GAF has already changed it numerous times.
ReplyDeleteYes, Hallmark has been quite good with this the past couple of years.
DeleteJust a few years ago I was demented with the way they kept changing their schedule - the same movie could have been shifted around 3 or 4 times, it was hard to keep track - Florence
ReplyDeleteA Cozy Christmas Inn
NO - JUST NO
I suppose I always knew how this would pan out but some part of me was just hoping that there would be a surprise twist that I couldn't possibly have imagined.
I'm sorry but I can only describe Hallmark's actions in airing this movie as despicable.
This is a "sequel" to Christmas Under Wraps which was first aired some 8 years ago so there will probably be many unaware of it.
For years the whole purpose of Hallmark's Rom.Coms was that whatever path they tread the two leads fall in love and "live happily ever after".
That sems to be changing - in fact in many of their recent movies I have felt at the end they were just in a "relationship of the moment".
I did like Christmas Under Wraps and although it wouldn't be on my all-time favourite list we were left in the glow that Lauren and Andy had fallen in love and Lauren would re-locate to Garland where she realised what direction her future life would take.
We are, of course, aware of the changes which have been occurring at the channel in the last couple of years.
Cabdace Cameron Bure was always recognised as their leading female actress although she was becoming increasingly challenged by Lacey Chabert.
Then came the shock news that Ms Bure had signed a lon-term deal with Great American Family a new rival channel.
Suudenly this sequel to Christmas Under Wraps appears in which Lauren and Andy have broken up.
Can we really believe this is random? - I don't believe so.
I know last year Hallmark aired The Nine Kittens Of Christmas a sequel to The Nine Lives Of Christmas which had one of the most perfect Hallmark endings ever.
Marilee and Zachary had broken up but at least in the end they re-united.
I somehow don't think this was Hallmark's hand.
The movie came through Reel One Entertainment - it seemed to me as if someone else had produced this and Hallmark decided it would be better if they aired it and at least Marlee and Zachary ended up together.
Why would Hallmark want to produce a sequel to what in terms of number of viewers is their highest-ever rated movie and totally negate the whole content of the original movie?
I could never watch Christmas Under Wraps comfortably again.
Personally, I can only believe that it is an act of revenge against Ms Bure - what else could it be?
It really is an insult to their long-time fans and like a slap in the face.
I would dearly love to say I will never watch Hallmark again but why should I cut off my nose to spite my face?
Although, sadly, it happens with less frequency now when they get it right Hallmark is still the leader in the Rom.Com field.
I can only say with a heavy heart in this case:
SHAME ON YOU HALLMARK
Florence
For those who could be wondering about a belgian chocolate Christmas, I read that it will be airing on plex on December 11th
ReplyDeleteLooked for it on multiplex but didn't see it. It's a shame because it sounded like a good movie.
DeleteI tried to get it to play but wasn't able to get it to start. I wonder if it's being postponed for some reason
