I am sending out this post today to remind you all - the latest movie premiere from Incendo Productions, When Love Blooms, will air this Friday afternoon, March 25, 2022, on BYU-TV at 1pm/12c.
Recently, I pre-screened the movie through BYU's we-site. See my review below.
MOVIE REVIEW - "When Love Blooms":
๐ฎ "If you really, really enjoy flowers, then you might enjoy When Love Blooms, because nearly every scene is about arranging flowers for a big competition. As a risk management analyst, Ann Keller (played by Sarah Power, “Nantucket Noel”) is rather persnickety; she has trouble making up her mind, even in inconsequential situations, such as: picking something to eat for lunch or ice cream flavors. Ann returns to her hometown after her father injures his arm and takes his place in a flower arranging competition, titled the “Botanic Cup”. She really has no idea about flower arranging, but her partner, Aaron Blum, an ex-football player, is the town’s florist, so he teaches her. This movie is mostly family-friendly; however, I have one caution on dialogue. Aaron eventually reveals his former partner in the flower competition was his ex, and he makes a brief comment that implies that he formerly lived with his ex-girlfriend. He says, "love doesn’t lock you out of the house at 2am in only your bath robe." That’s the only questionable content I recall. The chemistry between the leads, in my opinion, is a little stiff, and Aaron’s side project at the florist shop is a bit odd. Even though I do love flowers, this was just an okay one time watch for me." ~Net

Hmmmm.......reading this it doesn't look too hopeful.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your list of upcoming movies April seems very sparse and if they follow the same pattern as last year Hallmark, HMM and UPtv all only had two new ones - Florence
Hmmm...It’s interesting that this premiere should fall on Friday, “Mark the 25th”, 1/4 of
ReplyDeletethe way to Christmas as it reminds me of one of my favorite Lifetime Christmas movies; “A Christmas Arrangement”. I don’t remember if it’s totally family-friiendly, but if you haven’t seen it, I would
recommend it for “Mark the 25th”...you
can have a floral show competition double-feauture! Please see Net’s post about the film. A very short synopsis here: Nicky Whelan (“Valentines, Again” & “Romance at Reindeer Lodge”) and Miles Fisher become love interests and then find themselves as competitors in a
HOLIDAY floral show competition.
What spring movies that you are looking forward seeing this weekend?
ReplyDeleteI watched When Love Blooms and I enjoyed it. It was a fun comedy and I was engaged from beginning to end. It was a simple storyline but with all that is going on in the country and world, it was just what I needed before bedtime so I could sleep the WHOLE night with a happy heart (and that is important )
