I definitely want to include a BIG *Thank You* to all of the awesome reviewers here!

Christmas Sail
ReplyDeletePeople thought Kristoffer Polaha is in it but what Christmas movie he is in? He isn’t in Christmas movie: Christmas Sail
Looking forward to them all except "Boyfriends of Christmas Past." Sounds exactly like the 2009 movie "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past." Which starred Lacey Chabert and Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.
ReplyDeleteMarlena, Same here! That title is really throwing me off, too. Plus, UPtv had a movie titled "Girlfriends of Christmas Past" back in 2016 and that one was, in my opinion, (I'll be kind here) not good. Ironically, that movie starred John Brotherton, who is Candace's co-star this year.
DeleteHallmarks version of Boyfriends of Christmas Past actually didn't look like a Hallmark production at all. It felt more like a production from a Hallmark want to be channel. Too bad it just did not have the same kind of feel to it.
DeleteThanks for providing this valuable information, Net! I have printed the listings and will be noting any updates, changes, etc. on them...until there are so many that I will need to reprint them! (It seems I do this at least a few times every year!)
ReplyDeleteI make lists and send to my daughters and granddaughters. I'm constantly sending updates with new dates, times and even title changes that Hallmark loves to make. Thanks goodness for Net, she keeps me in the loop.
DeleteI see some very exciting movies ahead with some new twists and looking forward to October 22nd! Thanks, Net for all your hard work providing us with the latest updates in the Christmas Movie Universe!
DeleteMark 25, Oh my goodness, I know just what you mean about printing and re-printing when new information is released. We've gone through many changes over the years, haven't we? Since this is just the beginning, I imagine we will have many more to go.
DeleteI found it interesting that Candace's movie wasn't officially locked in for Thanksgiving week. I mean, it probably is (right?), but why didn't they just announce it already? Hmmmm????
Kathy! Awe, how sweet! I'm so glad you enjoy visiting here and sharing these Christmas movie lists with your daughter. That news blesses me so much. You literally just made my day!
DeleteI am delighted to share all of these exciting Christmas movie updates with you! It is my joy! :)
I know that's a lot of work on your part, too, sharing these movie details. Blessings to you, honey!
I do think Candace will still have the covet Sunday spot. Someone close to production did say November 28, 2021 for The Christmas Contest.
DeleteThe movie that I am looking forward in this group is The Christmas Contest and probably Christmas Sail.
ReplyDeleteYou, Me, & The Christmas Trees
ReplyDeleteWow. Danica reunired her Wonder Year co-star Jason Hervey in You, Me, & Christmas Trees since Dan Lauria protrayed as her Dad in Great Valley Christmas
Jason Harvey protrayed as her Brkther or Benjamin Ayres’ colleague in Christmas movie
I’ll skip Christmas movies: The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls & The Nine Kittens of Christmas but I’ll watch Christmas movies on GAC Family
ReplyDeleteI never watch Lifetime Christmas movies unless I was recording Christmas movie: Random Acts of Christmas is more like Random Acts of Kindness & UPTV too.
I’ll watch Christmas Movies on GAC Family, Hallmark Channel, & Hallmark Movies & Mysteries unless I’m recording them to make room for Christmas movies until I’lI delete them
If you spot Christmas Tree on Building in different Christmas movies like Switched to Christmas, Christmas Cupid’s Arrow. etc. How many Christmas Trees on the building in different Christmas Movies in different Channels like Hallmark Channel, HMM, UPTV, etc
I'm really looking forward to seeing "Christmas at Castle Hart." I hope they film it in Ireland. So beautiful there and LOVE the accent! πππ -Love Lacey's films as well. She always plays a cheerful character.
ReplyDeleteThanks Net for always sharing with us helpful information. Very much appreciated. Have a great week.
Abigail, Yes, they did film "Christmas at Castle Hart" in Ireland, so the setting should be spectacular on screen! I have high hopes for this one, too! :)
DeleteI also want to see Christmas at Castle Hart.
ReplyDeleteThese have all landed in one fell swoop so it's hard to take it all on board but it seems to me there are a lot of movies where it would be a second marriage for one of the leading characters.
ReplyDeleteAnd then this:
The Nine Kittens of Christmas - (premiere date TBD)
Brandon Routh, Kimberley Sustad, Gregory Harrison
Firefighter Zachary (Routh) and veterinarian Marilee (Sustad) are thrown back together at Christmas when they’re tasked with finding homes for a litter of adorable kittens.
We had the perfect ending to Nine Lives Of Christmas yet they seem to have meddled and Zachary and Marilee are now apart or have I misunderstood?
Really unhappy at Hallmark about this - Florence
Danica's is first in October?! This one sounds way better than hers last year and there is no way it will do well in the ratings. I think that is a diss to Danica with them doing that.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to Santa Stakeout, Open By Christmas and Lacy's movie the most. I don't care for Candace's movie. I usually don't like those types of movies.
Misty
Aaaahh! I'm so excited for The Nine Kittens of Christmas! The first movie is one of our favorites.
ReplyDeleteEW Also reported the name for The Christmas Contest is a working title. I hope not, because it's based on a book with the same title. But they seem to have taken away the Thanksgiving weekend date--though, we all know how much they change dates.
ReplyDeleted
Net, do you think these are all the Christmas movies from Hallmark (and HMM) or will there be more to come?
ReplyDeleteThere's a few familiar names "missing" - Florence
Florence, I'm hearing there will be 41 Christmas movies across both Hallmark networks, so... yes, more are coming! They didn't even announce the ones with Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker, yet, and many others. I anticipate we will have another drop of movies soon! :)
DeleteThanks, Net.
DeleteSomehow there seemed far more than there actually were announced and we already know of movies by several other stars including Jill Wagner.
I'm hoping for Trevor Donovan, Lucas Bryant and Niall Matter.
I've heard rumours of a new Paul Greene movie and surely that would be Hallmark?
Of all that I've heard so far the movie I am most excited I about is One December Night starring Eloise Mumford and Brett Dalton - what a great pairing - and I would be extremely surprised if this was to aired anywhere other than Hallmark - Florence
I've a theory about Stephen Huszar and don't think we'll be seeing him but I'll wait and see.
There’s 41 Hallmark Christmas movies
ReplyDeleteThe plot of Next Stop Christmas sounds very similar to next week's Love Strikes Teice movie.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Hallmark Hall of Fame
ReplyDeleteThey didn’t HHoF movies last year 2020
Will Hallmark do HHOF this year???
I would like to see a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie in 2021 maybe this one will be filmed in the United States of America also
DeleteI'm so excited! Can't wait for The Christmas Contest, I was Team Matt on Fuller House so this has me excited. The Christmas House 2 as well. And very interested in The Santa Stake out such a unique plot we haven't really seen yet. And The Nine Kittens of Christmas. Looking forward to a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteI am still hoping for Lucas Bryant, Michael Rady, Kevin McGarry, Victor Webster, Niall Matter, Brant Daugherty, Marc Blucas, and Stephen Huszar in Christmas movies. One of the quick previews has someone in a Santa beard who looks like Corey Sevier. My Christmas wish list in addition to others announced.
ReplyDeleteWhat Hallmark Christmas movie that is brand new for 2021 that you are not looking forward seeing on Hallmark Channel?
ReplyDeleteChris, I'm looking forward to the movies with Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, plus Alison Sweeney and Brennan Elliott's movie and The Nine Kittens of Christmas! Hopefully, those will all end up being good, but we'll see.
DeleteNet
ReplyDeleteDo you know anything about a possible strike by the International Association Of Theatrical Stage Employees causing the cancellation of Christmas movies?
This may be why the news has been held bsck this year - Florence
Florence, I have heard about this. I don't think it will effect the movies that are already made, but it may affect future film projects from being made.
DeleteHallmark changed the title from The Christmas Bond to Our Christmas Journey
ReplyDeleteStarring Holly Robinson Peete
Super excited about One December Night starring Eloise Mumford and Brett Daltom which is apparently airing on Nov 13 - Florence
ReplyDeleteNo Alicia Witt?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought the same thing! She has been in a Hallmark Christmas movie every year since 2013!!! I am honestly not a huge fan of Alicia Witt but it doesn't seem right to not have her this year!!
Delete--LB
Hey Net! Boy you have been busy! All the networks putting up new schedules almost daily has really kept you busy! I don't know how you keep up. Here's an update, you may know this before you see my message. Kistoffer Polaha and Brooke D'orsay are starring in A Dickens of a Holiday. I'm excited about this pairing...praying it's family friendly. I think the two of them together will be great! I wish he and Jill Wagner would do a Christmas movie together. Their on screen chemistry is out the roof! Still looking for Marc Blucas to show up in a movie this year! Fingers crossed! Thank you Net for your hard work! Blessings to you my friend!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to see that there does not appear to be a Military Christmas movie this year. I always look forward to watching the military ones every year.
ReplyDeleteLet the Christmas movies begin!! (I've still got summer movies on the dvr to finish watching! Ugh, I'm not in the mood for summer movies anymore.)
ReplyDelete"You, Me & Christmas Trees". Kinda cute, kinda hokey, at times kinda "thin"/silly/unbelievable. Both lead actors have much better Christmas movies out there from past years. This one was not a keeper for me; but I suppose it wasn't a total waste of time, it had some Christmas "feels". Family friendly except for a few small parts about drinking hard cider and a cocktail-making competition.
It was nice to see Candace Cameron Bure introduce the movie, but I was not impressed with the set behind her (didn't feel very warm and Christmas-y to me).
On to the next one!
~~Jane
Jane, I hear ya! I just finished "The Vows We Keep" (which is family-friendly) recently; it just doesn't seem possible for it to be time for Christmas movies. Fall is really just now happening for us here in the Midwest.
DeleteAnyway, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the first movie. Let's hope there will be some more pleasant and lighthearted movies like it!
Net, you might want to check out Andrew Walker's movie. A member of his fan club said his movie has gay couples and Andrew is proud of it. Just a heads up in advance.
ReplyDeletekitkat, thank you so much for this info... I'll definitely look in to this. Appreciate you sharing!
DeleteI just watched the Santa Stakeout. It was a cute movie with lots of little funny one liners in it. I did notice two things though. When the lead characters being introduced to the people at a party, they are introduced to two guys who appear to be there together. There is no mention of them being gay, and nothing shown, but I just got the feeling that it is implied in the couple of scenes we see them in. Maybe I'm just super sensitive to these things now...I don't know. I also noticed that there was a focus on a toy that the lead character bought for a family member and it happened to be a rainbow coloured bear. Again, it could be nothing or it could be a subtle message.
ReplyDeleteKaren - Thank you so much for sharing this detailed review. I so appreciate the time you took to share this information with us. Bless you!
DeleteI posted your review here:
https://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2021/10/which-2021-christmas-movies-made-its.html
I really liked You, Me, and the Christmas trees! I enjoy both Danica McKellar and Benjamin Ayres and I did like them together. The theme of the movie was fresh and different. I also liked the puns and joking throughout the script. It made the whole story more relatable. My family has different tastes in Hallmark movies (no, they aren't all created the same!) but we all enjoyed this one.
ReplyDeleteSanta Stakeout. I didn't know if I would like this movie after watching the trailer. But! I was pleasantly surprised. Paul Campbell's projects have really been taking a shine. I thought this movie was clever, creative and it hooked me, right from the start. The leads work well together and so do the minor characters. I think my parents would love it.
ReplyDeleteAmanda D,
DeleteThank you for sharing these movie reviews with us. By the way, I thought the puns were cute, too, in "You, Me, and The Christmas Trees!"

Hi Net - Coyote Creek Christmas features a same-sex relationship. In case you want to skip or flag it.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate you sharing this - thank you!
DeleteNot a great fan of time-travel movies but the preview clip of Next Stop Christmas has made me really intrigued to see it.
ReplyDeletePity that the Aimee Teegaedeb/ Andrew Walker movie My Family Christmas Tree is rumoured not to be family friendly - the preview clip on Hallmark makes it look interesting.
I was coming to see if I missed you alerting us to Coyote Creek but I only see someone else commented on it. I was disappointed to see the same sex relationship, I think others would want to know.
ReplyDeleteNext Stop, Christmas: I LOVED this movie. This is a great one -- for a family or dynamic group of people. The leads were amazing. I am not familiar with either of them, and I thought they had great chemistry together and were both enjoyable on their own. I hope to see them both in more Hallmark movies! The train scenes were beautiful. Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson were great additions. And plot wise, the movie had many ups and downs (in a good way) and it wasn't clear how things were going to turn out. We had a lot of laughs -- this one's a keeper.
ReplyDeleteCoyote Creek Christmas: I am a big Ryan Paevey fan but I had a hard time getting into this movie. I didn't find he and Janel Parrish had alot of chemistry. I preferred Janel Parrish in the movie she did earlier this year -- Right in Front of Me.
Amanda D - It's always so nice to hear your reviews; I appreciate you sharing with us. Sounds like everyone really enjoyed Next Stop, Christmas! So good to hear how much you liked it, too!
DeleteBefore "Coyote Creek Christmas" even aired, I kinda thought Ryan Paevey and Janel Parrish - just didn't look like a good fit. She just seems to be a lot younger. Anyway, I'm skipping that one, but it's still interesting to get your take.

A Christmas Treasure was really good and family friendly.π- Grace

Open by Christmas not family friendly. Gay engaged couple introduced at party. Alison Sweeney is one of the Executive Producers of this movie. I will not trust her work going forward. A little surprised to see Brennan Elliott involved in a move that is family unfriendly. Disappointing.
ReplyDeleteAndy T, Appreciate you sharing this with us. Sad to hear this again. I understand just how you feel about trusting certain actors. I'm beginning to feel they are all accepting of the world's values.
DeleteI'd like to see more mystery and comedic christmas movies.Your romance and drama ones this year still have the same ole, same ole story line. Give us some upbeat, lighthearted ones. God knows, we need some uplifting now.T.Y.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Christmas in Tahoe, which was 100% family-friendly. I'll admit, I didn't care for the music that much, but the characters (especially the supporting roles) were very like-able and I laughed aloud several times during the movie!
ReplyDeleteJust saw An Unexpected Christmas with Lenz and Hynes. The sister is a no longer married single mom because her former female partner didn't want to adopt. The same gal was striking up relationship with another woman in the movie a few times thereafter. Paul Campbell was co-writer. On another note... I've wondered if search engines aren't shadow banning your site too. While a couple of search engines find it several others return everything but the real site.
ReplyDeleteCan someone tell me how The Christmas Contest ended? I have a Roku tv and watched it on the app and it cut off the end of the movie! I tried to go back and watch the end, but it restarted at the beginning of the movie and you can't fast forward. So, I am wondering . . .***spoilers ahead . . . ***
ReplyDeleteIt cut off right after Candace Cameron Bure's speech. She gestured to reveal her tree, and . . . It cut off right there! I didn't even see her tree. Did he make a declaration of love in his speech? Was his tree a special gift for her? Who won the contest?!? It's bugging me π
They replay the movies often. You should be able to catch the ending on a future showing::: hopefully.
DeleteHi Melnewlife! I just saw the ending of this movie, so I'm able to provide answers to your questions. Candace's character actually didn't decorate a tree because she feels Christmas isn't a contest (which sounds hypocritical in a Hallmark production, especially since the network tries to outperform every other network during the Christmas season). Therefore, Candace's character drops out of the competition. The main male character also drops out of the competition, as he reveals his acceptance speech didn't come from the heart. However, he did decorate his Christmas tree, showcasing an upside-down tree with some photos on it. The main male character tells Candace's character this decision was made because she turned his world upside-down. Despite both characters dropping out of the contest, they both end up winning (a choice that doesn't make sense). Each character receives a check for their respective charity, even though it seems like those organizing the contest expected these characters to win, based on how both checks were already addressed to them. At the end of the film, it is heavily implied that the meaning of life is love, as the two main characters kiss.
DeleteI just saw an advertisement on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries this morning that is advertising "Every Time a Bell Rings" on December 6th. My forewarning is - DON'T WATCH! Hallmark has now done it again....at the end they show the lesbian kiss...I could see it coming and zipped past but it just ruined the whole film for me. It was early in the show that it was going to be LGBTQ but wanted to see how far they would go! I am so disappointed with Hallmark, just don't know why they keep this up. Anyway, you might want to forewarn the It's A Wonderful Christmas community!
ReplyDeleteJanet, thank you for the warning. I was waiting for a review before watching.
DeleteFirst I want to say sorry for your loss Chris. Our prayers go out for you and your family. I pray that God comfort you and your family. Also, has anyone heard if we will see more Christmas movies released before Christmas? So hoping for Return to Christmas Creek and Christmas Bow. Two of our favorites. RG
ReplyDeleteRG,
DeleteThank you for acknowledging Chris' loss. That was very thoughtful of you.
Unfortunately, I don't see any more new Christmas movie DVD releases before Christmas. Unless there are some surprises, it looks like we will have to wait until next year.
Have a Blessed Weekend!
Thank you Net for your response. It is much appreciated. Maybe there will be some surprise releases. One can only hope. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, but most of all enjoy each others company and love one another. God bless us, everyone. RG
ReplyDeleteWow so many to choose from I hope this is allowed I use Frndly Tv network https://www.frndlytv.com/ to watch these movies and the good thing it has dvr feature so I can either choose to watch or record, so far I have Xmas movies going back to October and I’m just finishing watching October schedule now as I can leisurely take my time watch all these new and old Xmas movies, overall great investment to everyone be safe and have a wonderful holiday season with all your families and close friends in your communities
ReplyDeleteTis the Season to be Merry was good, not something I'd want to rewatch again though. -Maria
