Across most of the United States, the temperatures are dangerously high, so it's the perfect time to stay inside, keep cool with 2 Christmas movies - this Thursday and Friday night. I know it's not possible for everyone to avoid this hot weather and humidity, especially with those who work outdoors, but please be careful everyone and keep hydrated.
We can, at least, dream of cooler weather with...
Christmas Thursday - August 12, 2021:
Storyline via Hallmark: Willow Petersen returns to her Blue Ridge Mountain hometown to help prepare for her sister’s wedding, where she learns that the picturesque Eagle Ridge Inn that her family sold following her dad’s passing several years ago is on the market. After talking the inn’s handsome owner, single dad and widower David Lyndon, into letting her repurpose the inn’s barn as a venue for the upcoming Christmas wedding, Willow rediscovers her love for the old inn, and finds unexpected romance in the process.
Christmas Friday - August 13, 2021:
In addition to these movies, look for more Christmas movies airing on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries very soon - in the Christmas Movie Schedule.

I know there's also been some details released in various places online on Christmas movies upcoming this year. As soon as the networks release more details officially, I'll be sharing here at It's a Wonderful Movie with all of you. Stay tuned!
Wow, Hallmark movies continue to take a tumble in the ratings. Love For Real--1.41 probably one of the lowest ratings ever for a movie not on a Monday night. More people watch the HMM movies than this one.
ReplyDeleteIt seems Miss Wonya is running Hallmark into the ground. I bet it is so worth it to them to be so woke. Where are all your new fans?
Sabrina
I really enjoyed Love, For Real. It was a nice change from the same old. Plus, it was clean and fun. I loved the bickering chemistry. I for one, am looking forward to some of the movies with new actors as the same thing gets stale after a while.
DeleteOMG - I hadn't looked at the ratings for few weeks but this is pretty awful.
DeleteOne of the lowest watching figures ever.
This is serious - there is no way that things could continue like this - really worrying days.
Maybe looks like they are going to have to put at least one well-known Hallmark actor in any movie - Florence
Sabrina & Florence, I agree - they can't possibly sustain these low numbers and produce the high volume of films. It's obvious these recent changes aren't bringing in viewers.
DeleteThank you, Sabrina, for sharing these ratings numbers with us.
I do wonder what is being said behind-the-scenes. Advertisers see these numbers and this will have a huge impact down the road IF (a big if!) the Christmas season doesn't pick things up.
Melissa, I appreciate you sharing this review for "Love, For Real" with us! I still have this one sitting on my DVR waiting to be watched. It's good to know you liked it.
DeleteI shared your review on the Love For Real post - here!
Thank you!!! :) Hope you'll share more reviews with us in the future!
Will you watch Wedding March 6 this weekend?
ReplyDeleteChris, If I don't catch it Sat night, I am definitely recording Wedding March 6 to watch at some point - TBD.
DeleteChristmas Promise
ReplyDeleteI wonder about The Bridges Family
Jordan & his Father; Beau
Courtney Thorne Smith
Since Thanksgiving Promise
Great holiday movies.
ReplyDeleteAgree, Denise! Great leads in both movies.
DeleteI must admit, I have been extremely disappointed in HM's movies of late. The scripts are sorely lacking. I was looking forward to Sand Dollar Cove, but for me, it was just so-so. I tried the 27-Hour Day and even though it starred Autumn R., I found that disappointing a well. Also looking forward to seeing Hannah Swenson again, but that was changed up so much, I couldn't get through it. So sad. I'm worried for Chesapeake Shores, but we shall see. Good news is one of my very favorites, The Beach House, is on tonight. I've seen it so many times, but will watch it again tonight.
ReplyDeleteSavvy Girl, I think many of us feel the same way. There's been a few good ones this year, like "You Had Me At Aloha" and "It Was Always You," but for me, personally, most of the others have been the same-o, same-o, and not very special.
DeleteThere were a lot of mixed feelings over the Hannah Swensen movie. From what I am hearing, the door is still open for her sister, Andrea, to return... so hopefully it will happen.
Enjoy "The Beach House" - love Chad Michael Murray in that one! :)
The Christmas Promise
ReplyDeleteIt’s based on Richard Paul Evans
Starring Torrey Devitfo
