In case you haven't seen this latest news, I wanted to alert you all that the NEW Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Christmas movies will be premiering this year at a different TIME - 10pm/9c. That means we can turn it directly from the Hallmark Channel movies airing 8pm/7c - 10pm/9c and not miss a thing!
I also want to say thank you those of you who have contacted me to share this time change. That was very helpful! Hallmark is always full of schedule surprises throughout the holiday season; therefore, we don't know if this time change will stick - so be sure to stay tuned for any additional updates! Plus, if you hear any thing... please feel free to share! See the Christmas Movie Schedule - HERE!
Also, Hallmark *does* have East and West Coast feeds for its channels, so the 10 PM times slot will be across the board—not 10 PM ET and 7 PM PT. (Some cable channels only have a single feed, so what shows at 8 PM, primetime, on the East Coast, airs at 5 PM in California.)
ReplyDeleteNot a programming exec, but not sure Hallmark learned the right lesson from last year's Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun schedule ratings flop. Thur was definitely a challenge
One last thought on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries premiere time change…This IS Hallmark listening to their hardcore fans. The ones who want to watch movies live and follow along on social media as they do Some now saying new premiere time too late, but can't make everyone happy.
What is Hallmark thinking? Most of us do not stay up until midnight. I will be recording a lot of the HMM Christmas movies. 9 to 11 PM I can do but not 10 to 12 midnight. We rise early here! Not happy about this news. Thanks for the heads up Net.
ReplyDeleteHallmark Christmas movies
ReplyDelete8pm ET/7c
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Christmas
Before
6pm ET/7c
After
10pm ET/9c
HC & HMM
Change back to regular timespot at 9pm ET/8c after end of the years - CtC & MoC
Then
Hallmark Christmas movies: 8pm ET/7c - HC & 10pm/9c at HMM
That's certainly an interesting twist.

Hallmark Christmas movies start at 8pm/7c within 2 hours & then change the channel to HMM at 10pm/9c
ReplyDeleteApparently Candace Cameron Bure commenting on Lacey Chabert's Instagram photo of CHRISTMAS WALTZ rehearsals, has led to a rumor that Chabert is headed for DANCING WITH THE STARS next season which, honestly, is exactly how people end up on DWTS

It will only work for me if the movie is on Friday or Saturday. Sundays I like to make sure I get enough sleep for work the next day. Oh, well.

Colin O'Donoghue needs to be in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Like Irish Christmas, etc...

I hope Hallmark will make a Christmas movie called; Dreaming of White Christmas”
ReplyDelete"Where are our New Year's movies?", noting MIDNIGHT AT THE MAGNOLIA & Hallmark's A NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION as completed movies just waiting for someone to air them post-Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Hallmark's will "surprise" us with RESOLUTION soon.
It’s Wednesday night. I was setting my DVR to record the first new Christmas movie on Hallmark Movies & Mystery channel this Saturday. Christmas Tree Lane I believe it was. Anyway, my DirecTv guide says the movie starts at 9pm eastern time. Wonder why?
ReplyDeleteYeah, sometimes when Hallmark makes these sudden schedule changes it takes on-line guides and cable/satellite guides a few days or MORE to catch up. I just checked the DirecTV guide on my TV and it looks like they've finally fixed/updated the time to 10pm EST for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Hope yours is showing the right time now, too! I know that makes it so hard to record when it's not correct in the guide.
