However, this weekend we have another new movie! “Love in the Forecast,” debuts this Saturday evening, June 13 at 9 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel. Interestingly, it was originally called “When it Rains It Pours.”
ReplyDeleteThis movie stars Hallmark regulars, Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell. The movie was written by Barbara Kymlicka, who has been writing Hallmark and Lifetime movies for almost a decade. She has penned some of my faves (Lifetime’s “Poinsettias for Christmas”), as well as some that I’ve disliked intensely (I’m looking at you “A Cheerful Christmas”). As such, I have no idea if I’m excited or dreading this new movie. Directing this time out is Christie Will Wolf, who has helmed several movies for the network as well, including this year’s A Valentine’s Match.
Mark is staying at his friend; Darren Frum’s for years who was away from home has a lot of work to do
ReplyDeleteHis new next door neighbor; weather girl named Leah will become meteorologist
I don’t see the part where Mark & Leah are at the barn with cows when they’re dancing
Good point! I loved seeing that little dancing scene in the preview for "Love in the Forecast." Guess it didn't make the final cut. That's too bad since it looked really cute. Makes me wonder what else gets left out in these movies???
DeleteNet & Anonymous, I too have noticed that some of the scenes we see in the ads for the movies are not in the movies when aired. Case in point...Mystery 101 An Education in Murder has two scenes in the preview that are not in the actual movie. I have often wondered how many scenes are cut that might be good but we never see them. One of the scenes cut from Education in Murder is Travis telling Amy "And it's a long time coming" referring to their relationship. Makes you wonder if that was left out so they can back peddle on the relationship!! I would love to see Hallmark offer movies in uncut versions. They would be so worth the cost I believe.
DeleteLove in the Forecast, Busby plays Leah Waddell, the local TV weather forecaster who's not just a pretty face—she's studying to be a meteorologist.
ReplyDeleteCindy Busby has been acting since she was a child and is best known for her role as Ashley Stanton on the long-running series Heartland. She has been a staple among Hallmark Channel films, including Royal Hearts and fan favorite Unleashing Mr. Darcy. She’ll have two new movies premiering this summer on Hallmark Channel. Her next film is Love in the Forecast with Christopher Russell, which premieres Saturday, June 13 at 8 p.m. ET. Premiering later this summer is Romance in the Air with Torrance Coombs.
ReplyDeleteIn Love in the Forecast, Busby plays Leah Waddell, the local TV weather forecaster who’s not just a pretty face—she’s studying to be a meteorologist. While her on-air persona is sunny and warm, off-air she’s stormy and the forecast for her dating life is bleak.
When she decides to put dating on the back burner to spend the next year focusing on her education and budding career, everyone from her barista to the delivery man (Nelson Wong) start courting her. Things get even more complicated when a new neighbor (Christopher Russell) moves in next door.
Romance on the Air (Return to Romance)
Synopsis After learning her marketing job is on the line, Eden returns to Lake Tahoe where she used to spend her summers growing up. Intending to relax and recharge so she can tackle her job again, she is surprised to find her childhood friend and sweetheart Riley is still living next door. She finds purpose in helping Riley propel his struggling hot air balloon tour company, and also finds herself drawn to him and their dear past. However, Eden sees Riley and Tahoe as temporary, while her life—and boyfriend—back home await her. She can’t admit that she and Riley could have a future, even if that’s exactly what she wants. When she’s willing to take a risk for what her heart wants, her life will take off with her true love
Directed by Brian Brough
Coming to Summer on Hallmark Channel
You’re in quite a few Hallmark movies. What keeps you coming back for more?

So fun to learn in Cindy Busby's Parade.com interview that "Romance in the Air" will be premiering later this year! It's a good possibility that we see Cindy star in more TV movies, too, since several were filmed before the virus.
DeleteShe was an absolute delight in "Love in the Forecast!" I enjoyed it so much... I can't wait to watch it again and again! Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell were a perfect on screen match!
Timeless Love
ReplyDeleteA woman with a loving relationship & two children find herself awake from a coma & learns she was never married & that her family doesn’t exist
That remind me from Christmas movie; “A Family for Christmas”; starring Tyron Leitso & Lacey Chabert
Timeless Love
ReplyDeleteThis cute, Hallmark-like movie left me feeling just how I wanted it to, warm, happy, and satisfied. I get enough of real life everyday. TGIF for wholesome, romantic shows.
Hallmark movie "Timeless Love" is the story of a young woman going into a coma following a car accident and experiences her future family. A novel twist on time travel theme which is plausible in the Psychologist Carl Jung's theory of the unconscious mind where our future is prepared before being lived out. Cast beautifully performed and directed.
I really can't believe how special this movie was. For it's genre, it was so well done. I wouldn't really compare it to a Hallmark movie because it felt like it had more depth than that - not to knock Hallmark movies. I'm impressed by the dialogue and character development. It never felt rushed or too slow, but I just loved watching how the relationship developed between Megan and Thomas. I am sure this is a movie I will want to see again and recommend to others.
Safe Harbor
ReplyDeleteDoug and Robbie are about to set sail on a long trip when they unexpectedly find themselves foster parenting a group of troubled teenage boys. The couple soon learns that the hard work and lessons of the sea they teach the boys are forging a loving bond. Soon they find themselves in a fight to keep the boys they have come to think of as their own. Stars Treat Williams, Nancy Travis and Charlie McDermott.
It’s gonna air on HMM
Spoilers for Hallmark's 'Timeless Love'
ReplyDeleteAt some point in time, you would have woken up to a dream that almost feels like a reality, haven’t you? Everything you witness in real life seems surreal and you find yourself connecting the dots to make sense of a dream which merely existed for a few moments.
The protagonist Megan Murphy (Rachel Skarsten) in Hallmark's latest romantic drama 'Timeless Love' wakes up from a coma only to realize that the perfect life that she lived was nothing but a dream while she lay unconscious for nearly two months following a car crash. However, she believes in her dream a bit too much to only brush it off as imagination.
She struggles to put her life back on track as the imaginary husband Thomas (Brant Daugherty) and the two children she shared with him remain clearly embedded in her mind. When Megan agrees to take up a job to convince her constantly nagging parents, she meets the man of her dreams by landing a receptionist's job at his photo studio.
Thus begins Megan's persistent effort to make Thomas fall for her, despite knowing that he's in a relationship with his longterm girlfriend Natalie (Natalie Devine Riskas) Thomas even begins to think that Megan is mad as a hatter until he realizes she knows him in a way no one else does. When Thomas finds Megan’s hidden list of his likes and dislikes, like every normal human, he's creeped out by the latter’s knowledge of him and draws himself away.
The only person Megan hoped would understand her pushes her away. Will she ever be able to convince Thomas that they are meant to be? Well, you need to watch the movie to find it out yourself. Logic is tossed aside in 'Timeless Love' clearly. But what makes it watchable are the little moments of joy it has to offer through Megan’s perception of life
It may not appeal to hardcore romantics but it's definitely worth a watch for its cheesy yet soothing love story which feels like it has been taken straight out of a storybook. There isn’t much a lot of tear-jerking drama, and that could also be a factor that makes ‘Timeless Love’ an interesting watch. 'Timeless Love', with many of its scenes filmed in lush greenery, pleases the eyes and the prime focus on Skarsten's character managed to keep your attention intact till the end. Megan's fight against reality and watching her hold onto the last ray of hope makes you believe in magic and a pleasant ending fills your heart with hope. 'Timeless Love' premiered on June 14 on Hallmark.
I was looking forward to Timeless Love for it had a large number of good reviews.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Rachel Skarsten and Brant Daugherty in their roles and it certainly had an original plot line but I personally found it a bit off putting.
Timeless Love was just what I needed to see. I plan to watch again. Hallmark has blessed us for so many years with family entertainment. Praying for this to continue!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to hear news of a new movie beyond June with Cindy Busby's Romance On The Air.
ReplyDeleteI think you mean Romance in the Air
