Even though many of us can't go to theaters, quite yet, this is a great weekend for Popcorn and a Movie - at home! It's almost been a month since the last Hallmark movie premiere, so I'm drawing a conclusion that all Sleuthers are truly going to love this all new "Aurora Teagarden" Mystery! Let's just say, I have a hunch!

It's fun to see a (sort of new) movie on the Hallmark Channel Saturday night. I've seen "How to Train Your Husband" through Hallmark's streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now. Julie Gonzalo shines in this role, and I have to say... I just fell in love with that adorable puppy!
On Sunday night, I'm looking forward to seeing the late, Doris Roberts ("Mrs. Miracle"), in the UPtv premiere of "Touched By Romance." Sam Page ("Christmas in Rome") also stars in this movie!
I also can't wait to put on my detective hat Sunday night and try to solve the new "Aurora Teagarden" mystery along with Candace Cameron Bure and Niall Matter! You're also invited. Will you be watching, too? I suspect this is one engagement we won't want to miss!

DeleteFinally a new Hallmark movie this weekend. I was all geared up to watch the new Aurora movie in April before it got delayed on account of the virus. Wish Hallmark would see that a lot of us are still at home; it would make sense if they played more new movies now instead of waiting for June.

Oh Karen, I do miss martin something fierce. I feel bad to say I have not been able to get into this mystery series since the departure of martin. I was a big fan of martin & Roe in the books, although I think I had read that a lot of people fell in love with roe and martin but it wasn't intended for martin to be the great love of roe's life. But the fans loved them and were saddened by what happens in the books. I was sad but could accept roe moving on cause of what happened to martin. but in the movies, martin just left and I have a hard time accepting roe moving on. I wish Martin would come back so bad.
DeleteSabrina, I wasn't ready, either, to move on from Martin in two movies, but after watching the "Aurora Teagarden" movie marathon throughout the day on Sunday, I found myself liking Nick with Aurora more and more. Since there's no hope really of Yannick Beeson coming back (Who I loved, too!)… I decided to give this new love a chance. I've always liked Niall Matter since "Stop the Wedding," so I think he's a fun match with Roe. I like how he gets into solving the mystery with her, instead of scolding her to be careful all the time.

DeleteLove the Dell's. My husbands favorite is Bubba Rankart. he doesn't know many people in the series outside of Roe and Sally, but anytime we see a movie with the actor playing Bubba, he is like "Hey, its Bubba Rankart". I always laugh. I like that actor as he is in one of my favorite movies A Gift Wrapped Christmas. I watched it again last night, along with When Sparks Fly, I don't think there are enough 4th of July movies. That's why I liked Sister of the Bride a lot last year.
DeleteAwe, I love that, Sabrina! We do the very same thing with Gridley (Paul Campbell - "Surprised By Love"). No matter what movie he's in, we all say "There's Gridley!"
DeleteI also love Dave Collette (Bubba Rankart)! Really missed him in this last episode of Aurora. The whole Murders Club meeting seemed like it had less & less of the familiar faces we usually see there. Bubba is great on adding a little comedy to the show, but Peter Benson (Arthur) is pretty great at that, too. Course Bubba, or rather Dave Collette, is also on "Chronicle Mysteries, so we may see less of him now on "Aurora."
By the way, did you know, the woman who played Bubba's wife, Lizzy, in "Reap What You Sew," is actually Julia Benson, Peter Benson's wife in real life! I just love that! Since they are all good friends I bet that was a lot of fun!
Also...
I, too, would love to see more 4th of July themed movies. I like "Sister of the Bride," as well, plus "Love and Sunshine" was done beautifully with the service dog and military tribute.

DeleteThe current situation could be a good chance for Hallmark to air many of the movies from th M&M Channel on the main one as there will be quite a few subscribers on the main channel who won't have seen them.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking in particular of the 2018 Christmas season on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel which was awesome - surely the greatest of any season.
Off the top of my head I can think of A Vereran's Christmas, A Godwink Christmas, Time For Me To Come Home For Christmas, The Northern Lights Of Christmas and Once Upon A Christmas Miracle which achieved the highest score ever for a Hallmark movie on IMDB.
That would be such a nice idea for those who have not seen many of the HMM Christmas movies - and only have the Hallmark Channel! :)
