Storyline via Hallmark: As the Christmas season approaches, Dan Ryebeck (Erickson) is facing unemployment, and struggling to pay for the gifts he thinks will impress his two kids, Sally (Thurman) and Joe (Cleveland). Always chasing a new business idea, Dan hasn't had time for family, including his wife Linda (Dudek), who is finally fed up and filing divorce papers. Threatened by Linda's handsome and successful young boss, Trevor (Steve Valentine, "Crossing Jordan"), Dan knows he must make this Christmas the best one yet to win his family back. But after auditioning for a mall Santa job and quickly losing his cool, Dan is frustrated and broke, blaming the holidays for his troubles. Little does he know his luck is about to turn around when the real Kris Kringle (Donovan Scott, "Matchmaker Santa") pays him a visit from the North Pole. Deciding to take a vacation and leave Dan in charge, Kris sends his hard-working elf assistant Eddie (Astin) to guide Dan as the new Santa Claus, hoping he'll learn a lesson in Christmas spirit. With the sudden power to impress Linda and the kids by making every wild Christmas wish come true, Dan soon gets carried away. As the fate of the whole world's Christmas rests in his hands, can Dan focus on what his family really needs without flubbing his greatest gig yet?

On the night before Christmas, the young event planner wishes for a Christmas miracle to save the estate and rekindle her holiday romance.
My Christmas Movie Pick of the Week:
While I love the whimsical Christmas feeling of each movie, the one that has won over my heart this week is... "Holiday Hearts!" The mix of Ashley Williams and Paul Campbell giving their time to make Christmas special for one little girl - is truly the best Christmas gift anyone can ever give another.

Blessings to You All, Net
I am super excited for Santa Switch. I watched this movie for the first time this Christmas season, and I loved it, but deleted it cause I thought I had it on dvd but didn't. so I will be happy to watch this again and save it this time. I love the movies where a couple/family break up, or are breaking because the guy or gal is so focused on work and not family, but then they slowly see their family differently and want to be with all their heart back. There is so much divorce and fighting in the world, I love when a couple decides to work it out and realizes what they will miss if they leave. I think Mistletoe over Manhattan is similar. although I that one I don't believe they are divorced yet but the wife has a boyfriend already. I can't remember if the couple in Santa Switch is divorced.
ReplyDeleteI just realized Memorial Day is the 25th, can't wait to read what everyone watches. would be a good 25th for military Christmas movies.
I love the movie Holiday Hearts. It's one of my favorites, as well as Ashley Williams and Paul Campbell. Thanks for all the updates you send us.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Holiday Hearts. Adapted by the book by my friend Barb Ankrum.

My Favorite Bachelor
ReplyDeleteTo get a feature out for her company's Man for Every Month blog, an introverted writer has to go on a date with a different man every month.
MEGAN (Carlson Young) is a quirky blogger at a large online news and entertainment company called Newsmaze. Content to sit behind her computer and post cat videos online, she doesn’t do a lot of dating. That all changes when her boss, BRENDA (Jolene Blalock), gives her a new assignment- she must go on a date with each of the 12 Bachelors they interviewed for their Man for Every Month column on eligible men. Megan freaks- she’s terrible at dating- and enlists the help of her beautiful roommate, Vanessa (Justene Alpert) to give her advice. Making everything worse is the fact that Megan must recap her dates in front of the camera for a live vlog directed by a cute new employee, Scott (Aaron Jakubenko). The dates are mostly disasters until Megan finally hits it off with Jack (Justin Deeley), an actor who seems just as quirky as she is.
I notice familiar face from Power Rangers Samurai is in My Favorite Bachelor who portrayed blue Samurai Power Ranger
