What an unusual time this is in our world. I know many have been doing some soul-searching and looking for ways to avoid the overwhelming news with this pandemic.
If your heart is needing a little more or a lot more Christmas this week, then you'll love this Hallmark Christmas movie treat!
I believe the spirit of Christmas brings comfort because it centers around the joy of the birth of our Savior, Jesus. On this Holy Easter Week we are reminded of the cross and the incredible significance of Christ's sacrifice for our sins, if we only put our faith in Him and welcome Jesus in to our hearts.
Simply hearing the beloved Christmas carols, such as: Silent Night, Joy to the World, and O Holy Night in the background of one of my favorite Christmas movies, always brings peace to my heart and reminds me of how special it is to be home, surrounded by my loved ones at Christmastime!
Speaking of being home for Christmas, the Christmas movies featured this week - lead off with the re-airing of this year's "Merry Madness" bracket winner: "When Calls the Heart: Home for Christmas" on Hallmark Drama! Then, it's "A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas" on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Thursday and then on FRIDAY, get ready... because the Hallmark Channel will have binge-worthy Christmas movies ALL DAY! See the movies listed below!
UPDATE: It appears there will not be a Christmas movie marathon, after all, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, but thankfully, we can still enjoy the one Friday on the Hallmark Channel.

ReplyDeleteIt certainly is! I love when Hallmark adds in a little more Christmas! :)
DeleteWith all that is going on in the world, I am given hope by the Worldwide Fast happening this Friday April 10th, Good Friday. Good Friday is the traditional day of fasting practiced by many people and this year it will be shared by so many more.
ReplyDeleteRussell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said this on Saturday, “I invite all, including those not of our faith, to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers protected, the economy strengthened and life normalized.”
He also said, “During times of deep distress, as when illness reaches pandemic proportions, the most natural thing for us to do is to call upon our Heavenly Father and his Son – the master healer – to show forth their marvelous power to bless the people of the Earth.”
Since then I’ve seen several religious leaders join together with intent to fast on April 10th. And people from all walks of life (and from all different beliefs) have responded. What an incredible thing! The whole world joining together in fasting and prayer…..I don’t think something like this has ever been done! I know that the Lord loves us and hears us and I look forward to joining in on the World Wide Fast on Good Friday!
Though I don’t have Facebook, I noticed this Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/534352464165662/
I hope that this fast gives hope to others, as it has to me.

If we untied for good and call upon the Lord......imagine the possibilities! I like that thought!

Thank you, LB, for sharing this! I've also seen some Christian pastors mention this. What a beautiful thing it is for all believers to be joined in prayer and fasting together.
DeleteI believe God has already given us miracles along the way, and I pray He will fully deliver us out of this and carry us to the other side, much like he parted the waters for Moses and his people.
God's blessings to you, LB, and all who visit here. Thank you for sharing this great hope with all of us.
Happy Easter! Net
Rue, I wholeheartedly agree! Thank you for joining us in prayer for our country and the whole world. It's amazing how many lives this virus has touched. I pray the darkest days are behind us now and brighter days are ahead.
DeleteBlessings to you... Happy Easter! Net
Thanks, guys! You're awesome!
DeleteYes, even with so much darkness there truly have been miracles all along the way! He is very much aware of us. And I love how people are banding together to help one another.
I heard on the radio that over 30 denominations participated in the fast yesterday (I think they said 32?). I assume that is from the people who posted "going/joining" on the facebook group? How incredible! I too hope that the brighter days aren't too far now!
Thanks for sharing faith and hope!

I was watching Hallmark Hall of Fame: “In My Dreams”, on HMM
ReplyDeleteYes, instead of all mysteries all the time, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has been airing, here and there, during their usual prime time movie slots, some classic Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Hall of Fame movies.
DeleteI imagine we'll see more of this, since it's going to be a little while longer until they are able to film more mystery movies. Even at that point, there may be some restrictions, depending on where they film.
I like a little change on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries...I personally tire of ONLY mysteries! I hope to see more of their "old" ones!
