Somehow this movie doesn't feel like Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't make it all the way through this one. I like cheesy, sappy, unrealistic love stories, but this one was just a little too precious even for me. The main character is supposed to be cheerful but she came across a little too peppy for me (actually a LOT too peppy and kind of fake); I kept hoping her best friend would be the main character instead. Overall, I just couldn't buy into the plot or the happily ever after for this one. I might be getting burned out on Christmas movies (is that even possible?!?). Other viewers will probably like this movie - the setting is lovely and there is certainly lots of Christmas cheer! (And the parts that I watched were family friendly, so that's good.)

I watched the movie and it just didn't look like a Hallmark movie. The main female character (Lauren) was very inconvenient, insinuated too much, too exaggerated in everything. So far, it's the worst movie of the season, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI love all kinds of films (indie, blockbuster, foreign, etc), and I love me a feel-good Hallmark
ReplyDeleteChristmas movie. I’ve watched a TON over the years and this one was so terrible I had to turn it off ten minutes in. Not sure if the director told the lead female to “act” this way or it was her choice, but it was beyond annoying. Overacting at it’s best. She was so unlikeable, that when she snuck in to decorate the office (the one place she was asked not to), I was rooting for the lead male to fire her. This movie was worse than Ashanti’s wooden acting, and I thought nothing could top that. On an aside, Picture A Perfect Christmas, Merry Liddle Christmas (Lifetime), and Christmas at Graceland were definitely some of the best.
