  1. Cute movie. Not my favorite. I can't remember all my thoughts as I'm writing this, but I remember that I thought the lead actress was quite talented and I would like to see her in a better movie. This movie was sort of family friendly (maybe "heavy pg13"?). The directors did things like making sure we got to focus multiple times on the lead actor getting in and out of the pool, changing his tee shirt so we could see his abs, etc. Due to snowstorm the huge, luxurious hotel is completely empty except for our main couple and the entire hotel staff. At one point our couple just happen (eye roll) to show up at the spa in bathrobes, both wanting a massage; so instead of putting them in two different rooms the directors thought it would be a cute scene to show them getting a version of a "couples massage" with them each laying there on side-by-side massage tables with nothing on but towels and moaning and groaning with pleasure at their massage. Unlike the directors, I found it to be a tacky scene. Also, the evil "other woman" had a scene where she got snowed in to a rustic cabin with another guy - this actually could have been a really funny and/or romantic story angle, but it was executed poorly and just felt stupid and annoying.

So, overall, the movie was kind of cute but I wouldn't have minded skipping it. I'm not sure it was worth the two hours?

  2. The lead actress is the only reason I finished watching this movie on Amazon, and I agree with Jane that it would be lovely to see her in a better movie! She's so natural.

I almost turned it off, when, at the beginning, the blonde architect suggests she and the boss should share a room on an upcoming business trip, "like old times," but I gave it a chance and don't regret it, although it's not a movie I'll watch again.

Even though I'd say it's not one of UPtv's best efforts, I'm so grateful they're giving us movies! :-)

  3. This movie was all about Christmas miracles...
*Miraculous how a colleague can suggest sharing a room with the boss and think it's romantic!
    * Miraculous how the lights go out but all the Christmas lights, I mean all the lights, even in the neighborhood are on!
    * Miraculous how u can be out in a blizzard but never have any snow on you, or your clothes or even your snow boots!!!
    * Miraculous how the server sits at your dinner table before you, sampling the cookies at the table, and then proceeds to sit you down at the same table
    * Miraculous how the wardrobe choices in this film are so poor and so badly put together
    * Miraculous how I sat through this movie....
