I hope you have the popcorn ready to watch ALL 6 Christmas movies to launch the Christmas Movie Season this weekend! I’m so delighted one of my favorite actresses, Jill Wagner, will star in “Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses,” the movie that launches Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas! What an incredible honor.
Plus, I’m really looking forward to Lifetime’s “Sweet Mountain Christmas” with Megan Hilty, from the fun holiday movie, “Santa’s Boots” and Marcus Rosner, who was great in “Poinsettias for Christmas” last year.
Then on Sunday, I can’t wait to see UPtv’s “A Christmas Movie Christmas” with Brant Daugherty, from last year’s hit Hallmark movie, “Mingle All the Way.” Did you know, he & his wife wrote and star in this film? I hear it’s a cheerful, laugh-out-loud kind of movie – so, I’m really looking forward to it!
In fact, each of these new movies look like a lot of fun… I can’t wait to watch every single one!
May the true spirit of the Christmas season fill your home with warmth and your heart with joy!
I can hardly believe – it’s HERE!!!
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

I agree, Misty... looks like a lot of great movies coming UP on UP! I'm going to have a separate post for Love, Alaska since it's not a Christmas movie.
DeleteMisty, Just wanted to let you know... I decided to add a link above to "Love Alaska" - just to make sure everyone knows it's premiering Saturday night, too! Hope you enjoy it. I think the preview looks intriguing.
DeleteThanks for doing that, Net! I really enjoyed the movie! I looked up the book it was based on and it's a bit different plot. I liked how the characters really had a friendship and supported each other!
DeleteMisty
What about Love Alaska?
ReplyDeleteLove, Alaska will still premiere Saturday on UP. It is not a Christmas movie, so that's why I didn't feature it here.
DeleteI added a link to "Love Alaska" above! Thank you for sharing your interest in this movie!
DeleteCorey manages to save her Father’s Antique in A Very Merry Match
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jim, for sharing the excitement here!!! I, too, was pleasantly surprised they moved the start time on Hallmark to noon! Just yesterday, they were still saying two o'clock. Anyway, it's here and I'm watching Christmas Joy ... and I'm filled with such Christmas joy!
ReplyDeleteI've already seen some of my most favorites on HMM - so it's fun to see the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies again!
Enjoy watching all your favorites!!! :)
Looking forward to Sweet Mountain Christmas, love Megan Hilty (She was wonderful in Patsy & Loretta. I highly recommend that movie! For viewers Age 15+), and of course it's nice to see Marcus Rosner in another leading man role!
ReplyDeleteHello Jill! Thank you for sharing that! I haven't watched "Sweet Mountain Christmas," yet, but I have it recorded and I'm so looking forward to it, too! It looks like Marcus Rosner gets the girl again (like Poinsettias for Christmas last year) so that's another plus!
DeleteA Merry Christmas Match and Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses are both on my must watch list for the whole season. I'll give Sweet Mountain Christmas a try but Megan and Marcus can be hit or miss for me.
ReplyDeleteWith so many new movies this year I'm really having to prioritize which ones interest me most.
Yeah, it's hard to choose which ones to watch this year, or dare I say it, (*whispering*) skip. I know in the past I have started out watching a movie that I felt wouldn't interest me and then, surprise, I ended up loving it! So... you never know! :)
DeleteYou nailed it, Net!! A "Christmas Blizzard" is heading our way and I'm ready, willin' and able! I'll be camped out in my family room with my big screen tv all weekend!! Happy viewing everyone!!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda! Yes, we are definitely now in a flurry of Christmas movies! I hope you enjoyed lots of movies last weekend - and now that it's Thursday... here we go again!!!
DeleteHappy Christmas Movie watching again!!! :)
Live Alaska on channel UP tonight twice
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does the Christmas Wishes seem like a retelling of last year's "A Christmas for the books".
ReplyDeleteHello tvh... I can get your comparison of the two with the decorating part, but the movies themselves ended up being quite different. Hope you were able to watch it! In my opinion, Christmas Wishes was quite better than A Christmas for the Books.
DeleteTonight I’m watching Pride, Prejudice, Cut
ReplyDeleteI wasn’t this is a good movie
Merry & Bright is.based on the book by Mary Kay Andrews.
ReplyDeleteStarring Jodie Sweetin & Andrew Walker
Cate (Sweetin), CEO of Merry & Bright, a small-town candy cane factory, faces the financial challenges of running a seasonal business.
Gabe (Walker), a New York consultant lacking in Christmas spirit, is begrudgingly tasked with saving the struggling company. Upon his arrival in the town, Gabe meets Cate, who resents his desire to restructure her business.
Cate and Gabe unexpectedly begin developing feelings for each other. When Cate tells her mother, Joy (Lawrence), that she intends to focus on business and not get distracted by romance, Joy urges her to follow her heart. After Gabe convinces a major investment firm to finance Merry & Bright, Cate is thrilled. That is, until the investor and Gabe ask her to shift the focus of the factory. When Cate refuses to abandon the tradition her company was built on, she and Gabe part ways. On Christmas Eve, Cate wonders if Merry & Bright will ever find success and if she’ll ever find a holiday romance again.
My sister watched Sweet Mountain Christmas and really enjoyed it. I am going to have to make sure to watch the rerun.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Thank you for sharing, Misty... looking forward to watching it sometime! Glad to hear your sister enjoyed it! :)
Delete2 new Lifetime Christmas movies so far and both have a Winter Storm called Megan. Busy storm.
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting... I'll be sure to look for that! :)
Delete'Sweet Country Christmas' did better than 'Merry Christmas Match'. I know the Hallmark one was on the sister station, but I wonder if Lifetime will crow about it?
ReplyDeleteMisty
Ratings are always interesting, aren't they? Out of curiosity, where do you check that out at, Misty?
DeleteHey, Net, still recouping from my weekend movie marathon. I got to watch five of the depicted ones above. I loved "Sweet Mountain Christmas" with Megan Hilty who sang like an angel and "our" Marcus Rosner who surly peaked in the leading man department! "The Road Home For Christmas" was such a sweet movie with Marla, Marie and Rob with a heartfelt ending for all! "Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses"...well, what can I say... she's Jill Wagner and I love everything she does!! Really, really enjoyed these three!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad, Linda, you were able to watch 5 of the 6 new Christmas movies over the weekend! That is incredible! Knowing you loved "Sweet Mountain Christmas" and "Road Home" already tells me I'm going to love them, too! Thanks so much for sharing your review! :)
DeleteHi, Net! I know I haven't commented in a long time, but I've still been relying on your site to keep track of all the Hallmark movies. It is so helpful, especially now with the overwhelming abundance of new Christmas movies this year! I've had to face the fact that I'm just not going to be able to watch them all and will have to pick and choose the ones I most want to see. Hard for a "completist" like me to do! :)
ReplyDeleteI've watched two of the six new movies from last weekend so far, Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses and The Road Home for Christmas, and I loved both of them so much! I didn't want either one to end and wanted to watch them again immediately.
Christmas Wishes may not be anything new in terms of plot, but there was something about Jill Wagner and Matthew Davis together and how they played their parts that kept me enthralled. One of my favorite things about Hallmark movies (and romance movies in general) are the moments where it's obvious the characters are falling in love, especially those lingering looks, and they played that so well in this movie, I thought.
The Road Home for Christmas combines two of my favorite movie themes, music and road trips, and it was delightful! The road trip adventures are a lot of fun, and the last 20 minutes of the movie are a beautiful, touching tearjerker.
Hello Amy!!! Wonderful to hear from you again! It's always great to welcome dear friends back at Christmastime!
DeleteI'm with ya... on struggling with the whole idea of what to watch/record or miss altogether. Seeing everything is probably not possible for most people, and I know if I couldn't record them, then that number would be greatly reduced. I'm just like you and want so much to watch everything!
I'm glad to hear you loved these two movies! I haven't watch Road Home, yet, but it's great to know you enjoyed it!
Like you, I was completely drawn into Jill Wagner and Matthew Davis falling for each other in Christmas Wishes. You are so right - those "lingering looks" were THE best. This is one of those movies I could instantly tell I would enjoy watching in the future over and over again!
Again, thanks so much for sharing! Hope you can watch more Hallmark Christmas Romances this weekend.
