  1. Christmas in Louisiana is an original title for "Christmas on the River," follows Kramer's character as she returns home to New Iberia for the holidays. The young woman attends the 50th annual Christmas Sugarcane Festival, where an 18-year-old male & female are recognized as royalty each year. For the milestone anniversary, all of the former Kings & Queens return to the festival, where a multigenerational love story unfolds.

Lewis, a native of Prairieville who currently lives in Madisonville, attended a wedding in New Iberia about 10 years ago. It's been in the back of his mind as a potential shooting location ever since.

Christmas boat parade on the Bayou Teche. The film crew is hosting a Christmas boat decorating contest to decide whose boats will be featured in the film.

  2. This was just okay. Probably borderline boring for me. The story and the conflict were not exciting and engaging enough for me. Jana Kramer was great as always and I loved seeing Moira Kelly too.
