Storyline via Hallmark: Zoey Hathaway (Ashley Williams) has been working towards her lifelong goal of being a pilot for years, but everything is thrown off-course when she unexpectedly inherits a reindeer farm, along with the dangerously handsome ranch hand Alec Wynn (Corey Sevier). Now buried in taking care of reindeer and all the Christmas responsibilities, Zoey thinks life has delivered her a strange and cumbersome blow, and she isn’t sure about Alec, who has his own ideas how best to run things. Alec, who has never had many people have faith in him, opens up when Zoey invests trust in him, and the two find themselves falling for each other. Could they both find happiness in the most unlikely of circumstances right before Christmas?

Storyline via Hallmark: With Christmas only a few days away, Paige Summerland (Candace Cameron Bure), a Los Angeles magazine writer specializing in relationship advice, boards an eastbound flight to spend the holiday with her fiancΓ©, Jack (Marcus Rosner), meet his parents for the first time and plan her upcoming “dream wedding.” Paige’s enthusiasm turns to panic when a massive snowstorm detours her flight and she meets - and locks horns with - Dylan (Paul Greene), a cynical bar manager who has lost his faith in love. When it looks like all hope of arriving in New York for Christmas is lost, Dylan surprises Paige by renting an SUV and offering her a ride. Reluctantly, Paige braves the snowy road trip with Dylan, joined by Frank and Maxine Harper (David Lewis and Sarah Strange), an older couple whose 20-year marriage has lost its spark. Along the journey, feelings start to develop between Paige and Dylan. Now, as the young bride-to-be scrambles to make it to New York for Christmas, she begins to wonder if she’s marrying the right man and just might learn a surprising lesson about love.
Once again, I hope you enjoy both of the Christmas movies airing this week! I've seen "A Christmas Detour" many, many, many times and I still love it as much as I did the first time! Candace Cameron Bure and Paul Greene are such a wonderful match together... I would love to see them together again in another Hallmark movie - some day! Do you love it - as much as I do?
As for "Northern Lights of Christmas," I've personally only watched this movie one time, so I'm definitely looking forward to re-watching it again. Ashley Williams is always so fun to watch, and this sweet little love story about aviation - soared high!
I also want to say... congratulations once again to "When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing" for winning Hallmark's Merry Madness bracket. It took me by surprise, but I love this family series so much... and after all the sad news recently, I was delighted to see this victory! Yay!!!!! Its Christmas Thursday!!!!! I never thought I would be so happy for Thursdays!!!!! Its so nice to have a little Merry Christmas every week :)
ReplyDeleteJust what I need...two great Christmas movies to take me into the weekend!! Yes!! Happy viewing everyone!!
ReplyDeleteI love that Hallmark is showing Christmas films all year long!
ReplyDeleteI remember when Christmas Detour first aired (2015), and for me it was the third of a great Candace Cameron Bure Christmas triple-play, following Let It Snow (2013) and Christmas Under Wraps (2014). It was these three movies that made me a huge CCB fan and helped make me the Hallmark Christmas movie (and IAWM) junkie that I am today! :)
