ET has exclusively revealed: Jill Wagner (Mystery 101) and Matthew Davis (Legally Blonde) will star in Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses, which is slated to premiere during Hallmark's premiere programming event, Countdown to Christmas, this holiday season.
Storyline shared by ET: "In the movie, single mom Abbey (Wagner) takes a leap of faith to pursue her passion for interior design. When she gets hired to decorate the estate of local businessman Nick (Davis), Abbey must complete the job by Christmas Eve. With the holidays fast approaching, Abbey must figure out how to break down the wall between her and Nick, as this could be the opportunity that jump-starts her career."
This will be Matthew Davis first Hallmark movie. Jill Wagner, in contrast, has previously starred in three Hallmark Christmas movies: Christmas Cookies, Maggie's Christmas Miracle and Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa.

My Quick Take:
I think this sounds like another delightful Hallmark Christmas movie for Jill Wagner, who has been one of viewers favorites since her first film for the network, Autumn Dreams.
This movie is also based on the book by Jenny Hale, by the same name - Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses. I haven't personally read this one, but the synopsis sounds cute and reviews on Amazon say it is a clean Christmas romance... a touching, heartwarming story.
I'm so glad we have this movie to anticipate seeing - during Hallmark Channel's upcoming Countdown to Christmas 10th Anniversary!

Looking forward to Jill's new movie. I love her Hallmark movies. It's also wonderful to see a new face joining the Hallmark family. I happen to buy the book the other day, I'm looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so fun, Jill... that you just happened to pick up this book! That should be interesting to compare the two - when we see the movie this Christmas season!
DeleteJill Wagner is also one of my favorites, Jill (how cool you have the same name!); plus, I'm with you - it's fun to see a new actor will play her co-star! :)
I love all Jill's Christmas movies! I'm thrilled to see her continue the yearly tradition with a new one!
ReplyDeleteAwe... me too, Anna! Jill's Christmas movies are all so wonderful and such a joy to watch, year after year!!! I can't wait to see this new one!
DeleteSound familiar? Like Christmas Made to Order.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can definitely see some similarities here with the synopsis we were given. I also thought it sounded, a bit, like "A December Bride," with the decorating storyline. Or perhaps, "Christmas at Pemberley Manor."
DeleteI hope Hallmark will do the movies about chocolate sculpture & snow sculpture in the future
ReplyDeleteInteresting ideas! :)
DeleteHey Net
ReplyDeleteI am a fervent fan of the Hallmark channel especially the Christmas countdown
I am so thrilled about the 10 year anniversary showing a Christmas movie every Thursfay and Friday !! However, is there any way they can show the really old classic Christmas movies like A Season for Mirackes and Silber Bells or the Christmad visitor ? I miss these movies so much!!
Hello Lourdes! It's always wonderful to hear from another enthusiastic Hallmark movie fan! It is such a gift for all of us who love Christmas to see the movies every week!
DeleteAs for the classics you mentioned - I love those, too, but they have moved those to their streaming service - Hallmark Movies Now. I know just what you mean, about missing seeing them on TV. I feel exactly the same, but thankfully... I have them on DVD to watch whenever I like!
I always love a Christmas movie.I even watch them in the summer.I really liked Maggie's Christmas Miracle.Looking forward to this new movie and a new leading man.

DeleteSo glad you enjoyed this news, too! :)
OMG!!!! I am way beside myself hearing this. I loooove Jill Wagner. She is a versatile actress who can play the part as if there is no script and just lived the character. She has chemistry with whomever her co-star is. Way to go Hallmark!!!!

ReplyDeleteOh, that is so cool, Valerie! Thank you so much for sharing that! I love that they are filming more and more of these movies in the U.S.!
DeleteHow awesome that you were able to catch Jill and Matthew! Wow! I also heard Donna Mills ("12 Gifts of Christmas") is co-starring in this, too! This is one I'm already really looking forward to seeing, as well.
Please keep us posted - if you happen to catch anything else! Would love to hear! This is such a fun time when they are filming the Christmas movies! :)
Filming this week at the Strand Theater and on the square in Marietta Ga
ReplyDeleteRwf, Thank you for sharing this news! They had been filming this movie - until some of the cast, including Jill Wagner and her co-star Matthew Davis, came down with the flu. I feel so bad for them. That is the worst - especially when you are away from home. Hopefully, they will all feel better soon and be able to resume filming.
DeleteI see they were back to filming yesterday in Marietta Square! That is wonderful! Must have been one of those yucky 24 hour flu bugs! I know many of us have been there - so we feel for them! Hope they are staying hydrated and are still able to rest in between scenes as they fully recuperate.
DeleteThis is definitely one I'm looking forward to seeing this Christmas!
This movie will premiere on November 17, 2019
