PLOT:
Storyline via INSP: Christmas on the Coast tells the story of tough and cynical New York celebrity novelist Drucinda “Dru” Cassadine (Emery), who is famous for romance stories but is desperate after a string of flops. With her publisher about to drop her, she has just weeks to turn out a best seller. To spark her creativity, Dru retreats to her childhood home on the ocean for the holidays. As the coastal town prepares for Christmas, Dru struggles to write while a flood of emotions come over her. When handsome local widower Brysen Flynn enters her life, raw fiction turns to real romance on the Southern shore…with an unexpected twist no one saw coming.

Movie Review:
Coming home again at Christmastime was certainly not easy for Drucinda “Dru” Cassadine, a struggling romance novelist portrayed by Julie Ann Emery. Her mother, Ellie Cassadine, portrayed by Bonnie Bedelia, is there to welcome her home in Harbor Pointe with loving, open arms; however, the community isn't quite as welcoming. They are a bit skeptical of Drucinda, who has left their town to become a big city success. In turn, Dru is not exactly warming up to them.
Dru seems daunted by their expectations - while finding herself immersed in her Mother's activities making one faux pas after another. Eventually, as she settles in, Dru begins to open herself up to the new possibilities before her, especially the possibility of rekindling an old love interest.
All these new, bottled up feelings come flowing out of her all at once, as Dru begins to pour out her heart in her work again - passionately writing a new story, based upon her arrival home and the people around her.
Will Dru ever find the true dream she so desperately seeks? Take a visit to "Christmas on the Coast" to see!
