vintage patriotic card

Happy Birthday AMERICA!

I just couldn't resist this Patriotic image above - as we celebrate Independence Day and Christmas in July!

Here are some Special Patriotic Celebrations airing this year on TV:

Fourth of July at The White House
Presented by Hallmark Channel

The White House, the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation host a celebration of Fourth of July, with performances by country singer Sara Evans, "American Idol" finalists Jax and Jonny Breens and pianist Lola Astanova.

"President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will celebrate Independence Day at the White House by welcoming military families to the South Lawn for an afternoon picnic. In the evening, staff and guests will join the military families to enjoy the traditional fireworks display provided by the National Park Service. The President and First Lady are excited to extend this year’s Fourth of July celebration to people across the country through a television partnership that will allow viewers to take part in special live performances on the South Lawn of the White House." - via whitehouse.gov.

Check your local PBS for premiere time and encore showings.
*My local PBS station is showing at least 3 encores for this program, one immediately after the first show, and two more in the early morning hours.

TCM - Patriotic films...

TCM will be true to the red, white and blue all day starting with such patriotic films as... "Christmas in Connecticut," "Ah, Wilderness!," "America America," "The Howards of Virginia," "The Scarlet Coat," "Yankee Doodle Dandy," "1776," "Holiday Inn," and more...
*Note: Some military/war movies may not be suitable for young viewers.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries -
Patriotic Christmas Movie Marathon...

All of these Hallmark movies airing today mention or display service to our country: "Angels and Ormaments," "Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow," "Journey Back to Christmas," "The Christmas Note," "Christmas Homecoming," "Operation Christmas," and "Home for Christmas Day."

*See the Christmas TV Schedule for times airing.

I must say... I do miss "The Christmas Card" not being shown today; however, all of the movies mentioned above are a wonderful tribute to those who serve our country so faithfully.

I pray you all have a safe and Happy 4th of July Holiday as we celebrate the birth of our Great Country! Let Freedom Ring! From Sea to Shining Sea...

God bless America!!! Net
